Definitely an old school vibe. It felt like we were in a movie with all the students studying lol. We loved the building & the natural what looked like original wood Flooring. Customer service was helpful & polite. The coffee was strong. Inside the building the coffee shop is just one of a few different places. It was nice. Glad we stopped in. read more

Old School Coffee as super unique and I loved the concept. It is nestled inside of Dudley Square. There is free 2-hour parking and plenty of tables/chairs for studying, meeting or just enjoying a nice cup of coffee. The coffee names are unique with plenty of options. I opted for the Counselor (white chocolate + caramel) and it was good but I would try something else the next time I go. Service was a little slow, but it was extremely busy, so I didn't mind the wait. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Old School Coffee and look forward to trying to other coffee options in future. If you haven't checked them out, be sure to do so sooner than later! read more

Old School Coffee is a fun spot located inside an actual old school building! They have their own small parking lot with two hours of free parking, but it can fill up quickly. Luckily, there's also free street parking nearby - just make sure to read the signs carefully. (My street parking was unlimited time!) I ordered a cinnamon roll latte and thought it tasted okay. Prices felt very reasonable, especially coming from the Bay Area; my 16 oz drink was around $5.42 (April 2025). There's a good amount of seating: a row of tables along the wall (which was full of people working on laptops when I visited), some comfy sofas, counter seating, and even outdoor tables. The WiFi was fast, and I was able to get a lot of work done without any issues. The workers were super friendly, and I appreciated that they didn't rush me out even after sitting for over two hours (though there's a sign asking people to limit their stay if the shop gets busy - it wasn't while I was there). Overall, a cozy and chill place to grab a drink and get some work done. Would definitely come back! read more

Such a fun cute coffee shop in Lexington!! This is definitely a hidden gem I was so excited to find and will be back soon. There are lots of comfy spots to sit and the whole atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. The employees were friendly and personable and had great suggestions. I ordered a London Fog and it was delicious! Prices are reasonable, as well. I'll be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for delicious coffee and cool experience, as well! read more

In an old unique building, strong coffee and great flavor. Lots of sitting in and out of the room they rent. Do yourself a favor and book a massage of facial in the front room ahead of time! Would have made for a great morning. Staircases still speak of a time in the past... very cool! read more

First time finding this place I was quite literally guided by the smell. Coffee quality is top notch with freshly roasted beans, all priced fairly. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable with efficient service. The interior was nice and cozy, with plenty of seating options available. First time at OSC was so cute. Free parking is a must in downtown Lex. Then the schoolhouse building had so many interesting businesses I browsed before walking into the coffee shop. It was too late in the day for coffee so I was going to get tea (which they had a lovely selection of loose leaf and pastries from La Petite Delicat) UNTIL I saw a cute specialty drink called a Butterfly Lemonade that had blueberry syrup! I was delighted by this Yelp recommendation for grabbing a cup of coffee before hopping on the road to head home. My husband ordered The Counselor, which is a white chocolate and caramel latte. And I got the Schoolhouse #3, a delightful introduction to having lavender in my white chocolate latte! It was a bit tricky to find, but there is plenty of parking. read more

Found this gem via Yelp. Absolutely a phenomenal theme, as my wife and I work in schools. Great selection of drinks, and very good coffee. Staff were friendly (even though very busy). Based on the amount of foot traffic, it's a hit and well worth making the trek to. read more

The coffee is always great, the service, however, is not. The recent addition of the dark brunette barista has left me with more than a handful of bad experiences and outright rude interactions. She seems to have selective attitude and tone problems depending on the customer she's serving. It sucks that one bad barista can make an entire, and otherwise great, ambiance, toxic. It's one thing to not want to be there, it's another to project that on everyone else, or whatever else seems to be her problem. Every other barista there are some of the best people you'll ever meet. read more

Such a pleasant experience. The owner is so incredibly kind and inviting. The staff seem really close and are nice. They've started making pop tarts and scones in house. I'm so excited! I've been searching everywhere for a pop tart and am thrilled they have them! The pop tart was not the best I've had, but they're a whole lot better than my attempt at them. I recommend trying the strawberry! They also have chocolate and apple cinnamon. Their coffee week mango cold brew was so refreshing, interesting, and creative. Lots of fun specialty lattes with really clever names. We had a hard time deciding what to pick but both "The Principal" and "The Student" were good choices. The pain au chocolate pastry was also quite tasty! The line went by fast so don't let that turn you away. The baristas are so in sync - like a ballet behind the counter. The scones. Chocolate chip, bacon, or cheddar? Sweet or savory? Chocolate chip, of course! Proud to be Old School coffee's 100th review. This is a really cool place, a large group and I are visiting from Phoenix Arizona. The vibes are vibing at this place - the old school building has lots of charm. I tried the student and my boyfriend got the drop out, both iced. I really enjoyed both of them and they were creamy and flavorful. We also tried a donut which was tasty. The service was super fast even though the place was packed. There was a decent amount of seating but there were only a few open spots. I also saw someone in there with two dogs so maybe it's dog friendly? The only downfall is that it gets real loud it more than two people are talking. It wouldn't be my ideal study space but if you need the background noise or have some good headphones it might work. There was also some small tables and chairs out in the main hallway area. Great spot, can't wait to try some other drinks. read more

Crowded, line out the door 11 am on a Friday, limited seating. Staff was somewhat friendly. Frozen drinks are not as sweet was Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii or Starbucks. Whipped cream was sweet and so fluffy- best i have had! I do appreciate the fact that everything is fair trade and certified organic. Hoping for some sugar free options in the future. read more

I love this place! As a UK student, I've been coming here for all of undergrad and it's definitely my go-to study and coffee spot. My favorite drink ever was the iced Pumpkin Dirty Chai, but typically I get an iced oat milk latte with lavender, hazelnut, or vanilla! I am so happy they have lavender available because it is so yummy. This is a pricier place but everything is delicious and the time between ordering and receiving your drink/food is extremely quick! The people working are very kind and always very cheerful. They also have a punch-card rewards program that I highly suggest using! And another tip: I've learned it can get very cold if you are sitting by one of the air vents. I've actually had to pack up and leave earlier than planned because of this! Bring a jacket if you're going to be here for a while! They also play the BEST music!! :) read more
