So regular that when one of my coworkers does the coffee run, he just asks for "the American's weird drink please." It's short double skinny latte with sugar free hazelnut. It's not that weird is it? Any weirder than an "iced quad venti espresso"? Anyway, this Starbucks has a different seating setup than any of the other 30 or so *$ I've been to in London. In addition to the usual comfy chairs and small tables, there are three "booth" seats too. Check the picture. I know something like this wouldn't work in the States where we all like our personal space and personal table. But maybe in Europe where we're used to sharing tables it would work. Otherwise, the same coolers of sandwiches and pastries and drinks. I managed to find a table with a nearby power outlet and enjoyed my cool fizzy water while my iPhone charged back up.

I work part time at sbux here in the states and I get a discount when I am at other stores so I asked the barista if I could still get my discount even tho I was from the states. She said she should be able to but as it turns out it would not go through. The girl said "oh that's ok, this one is on me because I want you to have a good holiday" and she rang up my drink free of charge. She really did go above and beyond because I was not demanding nor expecting a free drink just a discount. The lobby was full so I was not able to find a seat nearby with an outlet. Me and my friend decided to go over next door to the burger place instead. This is nothing against the wonderful team at sbux is just that the lobby was full. Great customer service here, would love to go back again.

As expected with it being London, the prices are much higher here, it seems prices can vary between around £0.05 and £1 depending on the type of drink and merchandise. The staff member who served me seemed nice, but he refused to give me the Eat Out Help Out discount which Starbucks as a whole is signed up for, even though Starbucks as a chain is listed on the website. This gives you 50% or £10 off (whichever is lower) food and drinks when eating inside as part of a scheme by Rishi Sunak and the UK government. I later found out that it is only certain stores signing up for this which makes it more confusing - I don't understand it, they have no reason not to sign up! Regardless, my beverage was pretty good, I didn't have to stir it which can be the pain especially with the new lids, I must add the new lids are great and much better than the awful paper straws, these lids have been common in the US for some time now and I'm glad they made it across the pond. 3* - One of my favourite Starbucks stores in a modern setting yet I still think the fluctuation in pricing is a big issue as well as the fact they were misguiding customers on EOHO and also breaking UK law by not asking customers to fill in contact tracing details who sit in the store.

The Barista sensed I was keeping an eye on my weight with all the "skinnys" I was ordering. Skinny caramel macchiato. Skinny blueberry muffin. So she offered me a sugar free caramel topping in my caramel macchiato, which I didn't know existed and was never offered before. All this time I was ordering, and I didn't know! So four stars to you for teaching me something I should've known a long time ago. Plus, this place is cozy and clean. Conveniently located next to the famous and pristine Langham Hotel in London. I visited the Langham Place Starbizzle for the first time this morning. I ordered my normal drink (an iced 4-shot espresso) and the lovely gentleman behind the register mentioned a policy that I'd never heard of until now: Apparently, if one pays for a drink using a Starbucks card, ALL EXTRA SHOTS ARE FREE. So, by loading up a gift card and using it to pay for my daily fix, I will only be paying for a single shot. That's AMAZING. I've been getting the same drink at my normal Bizzle for months now. No one has ever mentioned this to me. My first time in the door at Langham Place, though, I learn a money-saving secret that will greatly enhance my coffee drinking experience. And with all extra shots free, dare I be a mad-woman and step back up to my old 6-Shot Stunna? I think the answer to that is YES.

Apparently they're "a franchise" as they kept repeating, but they're "starbucks". I'm not sure this best-of-both-worlds mentality is legitimate, and I will be following up with Starbucks head offices. Them refusing to accept my card and the starbucks-provided 50p off coupon cost me 80p more than it should have. (My shot of syrup should've been free with the card, but of course it wasn't) Also, they handed me a Latte that was just a wee bit more than half full (as opposed to completely full) which was disappointing. I'm hoping the lady at the till was distracted, because I was almost short-changed by £10, too! Once I mentioned it, of course, there was no problem in getting it, thankfully :) Not somewhere I'll ever be getting coffee from again. Plus the muffins were super cold due to the shop being on the platform and everything being cold. Definitely NOT worth the money... Unless you're desperate for a simple cuppa on your way to work.
