Horrible service. The baristas were all complaining about one of their managers, saying things like they "hate" him, saying things like "who even put him in charge, none of us even like him!" and calling him a "piece of shit" and "total dick". Their entire negative attitude was very upsetting to me because Starbucks is supposed to be a nice place to get coffee. I had walked in only wanting to have a nice day, and it felt totally ruined. It was deeply disappointing to see people using that kind of foul language in front of a customer. Slow slow slow it doesn't matter what time of day. So I go early in the morning because I have to be at work by 6am and no one will be in line and OMG they take their sweet time. We have asked multiple times why and the same thing oh sorry about that. Even in the afternoon no one in the drive thru line and guess what slow. Parking is horrible, the inside of the store is clean but the young adults that work here worry about talking more than anything. I tried to order through the drive thru this morning, 5/21/24, at 6:55am. I pulled up and there were 3 cars ahead of me. One by one they ordered and pulled around. The truck in front of me pulled up to order, and an employee came out and told me they were closing the drive thru for a couple hours because of the parking situation (part of the lot was being striped). I asked, since I'd been waiting in line if they were really not going to let me order, and she said no, I'd have to go park and come in. I Had my dog with me and was not going to lock her in the car, plus I'd been waiting a while already. There were half a dozen cars behind me as well, all of which I assumed were going to have to do the same thing, so as I left I let them know, and they parked to go in. I went 2 doors down to McDonalds, got a sandwich and coffee in their drive thru, and as I drove by Starbucks on my way home...THE DRIVE THRU WAS OPEN AND PACKED WITH PEOPLE!!!!! What utter BS. Turn me away, and say you're closing the drive thru for 1 to 2 hours, but 10 minutes later it's open and serving? I've taken time to wait in the drive thru, you tell me I have to park and go in, and by the time I would find a shaded spot (for my dog) and get in, I'd be behind everyone else you kicked out of the drive thru. Then, 10 minutes later the drive thru is full and you've taken multiple orders?! Ridiculous. Writing this review again because of the bad reviews. I have been to new Starbucks, gorgeous Starbucks, tiny Starbucks, airport Starbucks, hotel Starbucks, etc. This one however is my HOME Starbucks. That means this place makes my drink more than any other Starbucks. I have been a customer at this location since it opened. I am not a coffee drinker. I am not a froo froo latest craze beverage drinker either. I don't drink sugar and I don't drink caffeine. Yet I am in here constantly. Starbucks is the only place I can get a sugar free, caffeine free, non-coffee drink. That being said, my home Starbucks gets my order correct 99.9% of the time. When it isn't right, they gladly fix it for me. I saw a review about chatty teams. Most the teams that work together really like each other. They help each other out and have a great time working. I never am ignored. I like to hear a team getting along and being happy. This makes my day. I have seen many teams deal with customers from hell, my term, and still smile and give that customer the best treatment. I don't know if I could do that. As far as being slow, never had that experience at this Starbucks. Service is fastest when no one but me is there, and wait times get longer with the amount of customers in line. Hint: If you are in a hurry, use the app, order ahead, get your drink, leave happy. I also have to add, this is the last Starbucks available until Las Cruces if heading south. If heading up 6 to I-40 west this is the last one until Arizona. Flagstaff I believe, is the next one after this one. We have been in here several times and I have said on my previous reviews that I didn't have the same experience as some reviewers that had bad service. Well, now I see what they mean. Several annoying things happened because of one unfriendly inept female employee with glasses and dark hair behind the counter that said they don't make an item that we have ordered before. I am actually so annoyed I don't even want to go over the whole story again and make myself get in a foul mood again. My wife is still annoyed because she wrote a man's name (that isn't that close to her name) on her cup and it sat there getting cold for a long time before the realized that they were not making anyone's order and her cup had been mislabeled and ready for about 15 minutes. RUDE AND CLOSED EARLY. Despite several people on the patio, it closed before 9pm, which I found astonishing considering it's just off the I-25. At the drive-through, I said, "you close at 9 tonight?" and the girl answered, "Yes, and every other night, too." I said, "Back home, most Starbucks are open 'til at least 10 or 11." She chortled, "Well, you're not home, are you?!" Just what I needed after 400 miles of driving. So I got nasty coffee at the gas station nearby. I normally don't write reviews but the poor service at this Starbucks warrants one. This morning was the third time I've placed an order and left with nothing. The first time was back when they replaced their sign in the drive through. Not knowing that a new sign and speaker was installed further out than the original sign, I waited at the "old sign" and after my order wasn't taken after 5 minutes I proceeded to the window. I explained to the cashier that I didn't see the newer sign and the old sign was still lit up. I asked for my normal order and the cashier rudely told me I had to go back through the drive through. Needless to say I left very discouraged. The second time i placed my order and after waiting 10 minutes in the drive through the cashier told me that my order was given to the car in front of me. I told her I would wait for my order but she said because they were to busy that I needed to re-order my drinks and pull back through the drive through. I left again very discouraged. The third time was this morning. After ordering several drinks and sandwiches for a total of $18.63 the cashier told us that she wouldn't take a $50 bill. I left again and vowed to never go back. The cashier on all 3 of these issues has been the lady with all the tattoos. I'm really excited about the news of a Dunkin Donuts coming to Los Lunas.
