This is just a few blocks from my house so I come here pretty often. It's much smaller and quieter than my other favorite neighborhood spot Little Bear. Some times the quiet is a good thing, but for some reason there's almost always at least one loud talking person often on Zooms calls. Look, I get it, it's nice to work remotely somewhere other than home, but don't make other people have to listen to your business. The coffee is quite good and the baristas all very nice. This is one of the first places I tried when I moved to Albuquerque in 2015. I am not a coffee drinker, but it smells so good in there and there are always regular customers, so it is a cozy environment. My go to spot! This place is so homey, the drinks are delicious, the food is yummy, and the baristas are some of the nicest people I've met since I moved here. The Globetrotter matcha is my personal favorite, and their seasonal drinks are great too. The cowgirl mocha is also a must try. Parking is easy and plentiful. Love Humble! But last years' holiday market in December had the most painfully loud DJ ever. Venders couldn't hear their customers talking. Not pleasant at all. In 2023, a fantastic DJ was hired. Excellent music and enjoyable volume. Please consider this for 2025. read more

It has been far too long since I stepped foot in this coffee shop. Brings me back to paper grading and coffee sipping for my first years as a teacher. I love the ambiance!! Not too quite, not too loud! Soothing Indy acoustic music in the background, and greenery from the happy plants surround this coffee shop! The Americanos will always be one of my favorites in town! On 2/7/2025 we ordered 2 specialty coffees for $12.75. My friend tried to pay with a $50.00 bill...the Barrister said he couldn't take it, so she paid with a card. Initially the Barrister had been less than friendly when I asked him about the Specials. Our coffees came in paper cups, when I said I expected real cups, the Barrister said, " Next time". The specials were blah, a Cowgirl Mocha & a Fiesta. Initially the staff ignored me when I tried to ask for the bathroom code. The last straw of this review is the bathroom was filthy! Black mold on the sink pipes, grime in the corners going up the wall, open buckets under the sink, one was for trash, and the sink hadn't been cleaned. Repulsive, I felt like calling the Health Department! Since I knew the bathroom code I looked into the second one, not quite as dirty...still obvious buildup of grime. I like this coffee shop quite a bit, and it's really close to work. There is ample seating so you can get some studying or reading done. I just went to Humble Coffee's 10 year anniversary party and I had a really nice time. It's so funny because I've driven by so often but have never stopped. That certainly won't be happening any more. Their coffee was unusually delicious; so smooth, rich and such low acidity. I also noticed they had a really nice selections of tea and light snacks. Their indoor seating had great feng shui, so well laid out and conducive to getting work done or having a nice conversation. I also loved the outdoor patio area. There were all kinds of local venders today but it looked like when that's not happening, there is plenty of easy parking. The other nice thing was the bulletin board of local events and resources. I took a client here this morning for a breakfast meeting. I ordered a cafe American and my client a hot tea. Also ordered green chile breakfast burrito. The burrito was averaged at best not very warm and about eight bucks. The café Americano was very tasty.. The customer service definitely needs improvement. the staff was not inviting and acted like they didn't care if you were ready to order or not. no small talk whatsoever and of course they were able to end the interaction with the request for a gratuity. Humble offers a nice environment to just sit down and grab some good coffee to enjoy your time at a shop, whether it be catching up with people, people watching...or just...finishing the work you needed to finish a day or two ago. I like that they have a good selection of coffee and food. I don't drink a lot of coffee and actually barely go to coffee shops unless someone I know (which is pretty much everyone) enjoys coffee, but still find their drinks there quite enjoyable. Decent coffee, tasty pastry. Small amount of flavor options. I stopped in after an unsuccessful visit to the Apple store, because I didn't want to waste my trek to the downtown-ish area of town. And ya gurl needed and wanted some coffee. A Yelp search showed me that Humble Coffee was the closest, non-big-chain shop that was open at the time. So I headed that-a-way. There is a very small parking lot in front of the small strip of shops that houses Humble Coffee. There may be more behind the building...but there was a spot open out front so I took it. Like the Tardis, the coffee shop is bigger on the inside. But it was full, so I ended up sitting outside when I got my goods. I wish, in hindsight after having had lavender lattes in the ensuing time, that I had opted to use my check in deal for a syrup addition to my coffee. But I just decided to forgo it, get a big ol' cuppa joe and a doughnut to enjoy while I sat and read for a while. My coffee was good, the sweet treat was delicious, and I got to sit in some shade and read for a little while. A morning redeemed by Humble Coffee! read more

Came in to have a nice quiet coffee and noticed a very noisy and obnoxious background sound. Thought is was a coffee grinder/ but it never stopped. Turns out it was a faulty air-conditioner running. Apparently the owners turned their back on addressing this issue. I had been looking for a new place to drop in every morning and with this type of experience will probably never go back...it was a bad experience for me. I am on a mission to visit a new local coffee shop every Friday. Today was Humble!! Sooo glad it was my choice today because it did not disappoint!! I absolutely love when businesses go the extra mile to keep us safe during this crazy time. And their Walk Up Window is just that. Easy to see the menu and order. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff made me feel welcome and happy. The menu is to die for. Where do you ever see house made cardamom syrup?? I can't wait to return several times to try new things. I always order a vanilla latte on my first trip to a new place and it was ON POINT. You even see specs of vanilla bean in the house made syrup. Honestly, I have been going here for years (mostly to the lomas location), and love that they have compostable cups and use pasta for stir sticks. If these smaller shops can do it, there's no excuse for anyone else. #boycottstarbucksforlife I have gone back continually when I'm extra tired and in need of a heavy caffeine boost. However, the past few years have dampened the reputation of this place for me and I only go there when I'm really desperate and it's been long enough to give it another shot (at which point I'm reminded of why it sucks). I've gotten feedback from people I've taken here that the workers have become more and more rude- I have noticed that myself but was assuming it's because of discrimination based on some of my physical qualities, but it seems to be towards most people I have with me as well. I'm not sure if the workers are not being paid enough or not getting enough breaks or what, but it's pretty bad vibes from them a lot of the time. People act like I ruined their lives by asking for service when they have no other customers and are checking texts. I feel like the pattern I've seen over the past 5 yrs is that unless you have the same style as them, they feel entitled to ignore you entirely. Some of us are just living a non aesthetic work life and need coffee to fuel us through capitalism, and don't have time to sit around and wait for a plain coffee you don't even have to make for 20 min. Also upsetting is the fact that you used to be able to walk up to the window and order something outside, which was very convenient and helpful since there is no drive through, but that has not been available for a long time- if it's gone forever, they need to post an explanation. I really relied on that option to be able to socialize during Covid without exposing myself. As a disabled person, I really appreciated that option when it was working. I also used to meet with clients and friends there, but now the patio furniture (specifically the wooden benches) has not been very well- maintained and the benches and tiny tables are not very comfortable. They have some good food and good donuts, and I used to really like working here, but it's gotten so uppity that at this point it's a distraction and ends up feeling like a hostile environment. I shouldn't have to wear a hipster costume in order to be treated as a person in the once a month I decide to treat myself to an expensive coffee. Either will begin to try the downtown location only or will have to find another nearby coffee place in that area. I know there are issues with unsheltered folks coming and walking through and probably hassling staff, but don't punish the customer for that. Also, if someone is standing outside, just tell them they have to come inside- don't let them hang out there in the heat for 10 min before they notice the sign! I don't go out in public to be judged by you- if you don't like my hair or how I look for whatever reason, keep it to yourself. When you are an asshole to us, it's not like we can't tell just because you aren't saying it verbally. Unfortunately for me, I always get body checked by the female employees and they are always unenthused to give me a coffee- like it's not that hard honestly. I never get a complicated order and yet I still tip. If I do my makeup or etc, I get treated totally differently here. If I'm there with my makeup friend who dresses like a hipster and has visible tattoos, they only talk with him and make eye contact with him, laughing and being friendly. He asked me one time why I don't like going there and I told him that basically unless he is with me, I get treated like dirt. Not a good look. I will no longer be able to recommend this place to people either, since so many I've recommended (including my family when they visited me and were spending over 60+ dollars at a time there) have had similar or worse negative experiences with the staff. This is a repeated pattern over at least 30 visits, so I'm not posting after just one experience or blaming 1 employee. Hoping you guys can get a union or something going soon so that it's less torturous to work there if that is what's going on, but until then, I'm never going back to that location, which is way closer to where I live and work. #frustratedandoverit read more

While we still aren't huge fans of the customer service, the cold brew growler at Humble Coffee gets two giant thumbs up from me! Coffee is all my stomach can tolerate these days - no literally. I'm on a feeding tube - and I'm heavy into cold brew lately. My husband went out into Coronavirus land to snag me a growler of cold brew and it is delicious! But it's more than just delicious! It's an opportunity to support a local business during this pandemic and get a great quality product for a fantastic price! I love the growler system and it was definitely worth the investment. I don't remember the exact dollar amounts but I want to say it was around $23 or so for the first growler filled with cold brew PLUS an included beverage to go and it's around $11-12 for refills. The growler holds 64 fl oz so that's a heck of a deal for such a quality local cold brew! And it really is one of the best I've tried! read more
