I did a mobile order and was 10 mins out. I arrived at this location to find one employee, cleaning a machine, the place is empty! My friend ordered a drink when we got there, SHE FIXED HIS FIRST, WTF!!!! I told her I had ordered two drinks by mobile app, now 15 mins ago. She didn't even check the mobile order machine I had to tell her....Get it together!! Needless to say I wasn't happy!!!! How about pay attention to the mobile orders!!! I was highly mad!!! Amazing staff!! They are friendly and refreshing. We ordered coffee to go and they ensured our orders were accurate. They are a great team supporting each other. They had a "lid" malfunction but they still continue to keep the challenge light and didn't allow it to defeat the team. I will come to this Starbucks when I come back to visit my daughter at Liberty University. read more

Ran in for my PSL before heading home. Starbucks has been dealing with a shortage in supplies for MONTHS! As I ran in and stated my order the waitress let me know they were out of something on my order. She replaced with item with 2 of another because of the inconvenience. I was shocked when she said I was so understanding because apparently the college students have been pretty harsh with supply demand. They were pretty quick in making my 2 drinks. I was in the restaurant about a 3 minute walk. I placed the order as we were walking out and by the time I walked in my drinks were ready. Which usually takes a hot minute at other Starbucks locations. read more

Went there today because I could use my 400 stars. The staff was super helpful about what I could use them on and informed me it's worth $20. They offered to brew me dark roast since that's what I wanted even though it was 11 am (past dark roast hours). There is no drive through which makes this location unique and better service since the baristas are only focused on the customers inside. read more

I stayed in Lynchburg for 1 week and came to this Starbucks 4 out of those 5 days. These people were great. They greet you as soon as you open the door and step foot Inside. The first morning I went was busy when I first walked in and they did such a good job of getting everyone's orders and then serving up the orders. The guy who did my chai tea latte (young guy with beard, no glasses) made it with the exact taste that I like! Even on the other days where it wasn't busy, they were getting those orders executed. If ever I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stop by here!! Good team!! read more

I like this Starbucks since the customer service is always so friendly and willing to please. It has lots of seating, indoor and outdoor, that really welcomes you to actually sit down and enjoy your cup of coffee. Love this Starbucks. The staff is well trained, Janeen and Jeremy are two of my favorite baristas. I really miss Amber, the morning shift supervisor, who transferred to an out of state location. She ran an excellent morning shift, often times with a line to the door. I definitely notice a difference with her off the schedule. I always received my coffee in a timely manner and have experienced excellent customer service. I stop in whenever I am in town. Wifi is horrible, parking is hard to access, but I love the service so it's well worth the effort...even on a CFAW weekend! read more

I'm leaving 3 stars because I didn't actually end up ordering anything so I find it unfair to give less than this. I ran in to grab coffee before heading to a class I was taking. I expected a bit of a line, with it being so close to the Liberty Campus - but I walked in & the line was almost to the door. I couldn't believe it! I didn't have enough time to wait so I had to turn around & leave. I'm sure the place is good with the crowd it gets, but unfortunately I didn't get to try it for myself. read more

So slow. Every single time. Its slow even when LU is out for the summer. Whether they are slammed or relatively dead....SLOW. The parking lots horrible to get in and out of and this is the only one around all the shopping so youre kind of forced to deal with this. They are so slow that I wrote this while standing in line waiting for my green tea, proof read it, posted it, and still waiting. It's a Starbucks like any other. The times I've been to this one, they always seem to have a long line, but it moves pretty quickly.

What you would expect out of a Starbucks except their pastry case was very sad and mostly empty.

This place is busy! They really should have built a larger store here. It is right at the base of Liberty University and the college kids love to study and meet friends here. The staff here are friendly, but they are so busy and rushed, it just feels like a fast food restaurant. The coffee here is drinkable, but I prefer the Muse Coffee Co. in Wyndhurst that roasts their coffee on site. The staff are also more personable there as well and you feel like you are a guest. We'll stop by here when we are in a hurry or the Muse isn't open, but there are much better, local coffee shops in town. read more

I love this location. They were out of lids for the grande and venti. they offered me either two small cups with lids or I could put my grande in a venti cup so it's not as full. I ended up taking to the sweet lady making my coffee and she listened so well. Sometimes a wonderful personality is all you need. read more

I ordered my drink, paid for my order, and waited and waited. People who ordered after me had been served. I walked up to the counter to inquire about my order. These hags were drinking coffee behind the counter and chit chatting. They had not even started my order. I asked how much longer my order would take. They said not long. In a minute or so I got my coffee .. it was total crap, made very poorly just thrown together not what I had ordered. I was so late for my class at this point I just left. This service totally sucked it. I am sending a formal complaint to corporate. I will not go to this location again. read more

Your location is great (too great). Due to the location @ the base of Liberty U & across from L Burg 's shopping corridor( Walmart) it is impossible to order & enjoy a refreshment. This has turned into another Ward's Rd fast food eat & run. The Muse in Wyndhurst or the nearby Starbucks down from Lowe's have an environment where friends can enjoy a coffee & fellowship. Hopefully the owner's are looking to expand or open another store along Wards Rd instead making the most profit possible from one store but sacrificing the true meaning of why Starbucks was founded & that was to provide a quality product served in an enjoyable atmosphere. read more

I was looking forward to some alone time with my cappuccino this morning. However, my time there was marked with unusual noise level. First, it was a gentleman talking incessantly. You could hear his voice up close to the restroom. What exacerbated the situation was the overly perky and hyper talkative cashier, Stephen. Everybody in the store could hear his voice, interspersed with the occasional "SHIT" sprinkled on his dialogue. If the intention was to keep customers moving to make room for new customers well they succeeded. I left even before i finished my cup. read more

Every time I've been here it's generally over-busy and the music has been much louder than other Starbucks establishments and other coffee shops. It was quite annoying and I probably won't be going back anytime soon. The Starbucks on Timberlake Rd. is much better. read more

It's a starbucks, I mean, really, aren't they all the same? How is one better or worse than another? Except for finding the little pot of gold at the end of the rainbow known as Clover, really they all do it the same way. So with that, why the 5 star rating? Well the staff here went above and beyond for me. I was in town for a few days and stopped here on morning number 2, got a large (yes I call them larges), added what I wanted to it and walked to my car. As I was getting seated I managed to spill the entire thing into the rivers well in my car. All of it. Hadn't taken a sip and there wasn't a drop left in the cup. I went back in since I really need caffeine and the staff were so nice to me - offered another cup, and napkins. When I said that this was beyond napkins they gave me clean rags to try and soak up what I could. I thought about this all day during my work and ended up going back and letting the shift manager know how nice the morning staff was. I am going to be back in that area more this year and will make sure to stop in and tip well. Thanks! read more

This Starbucks has its moments. First off, hopefully Nathan S. or Spensir G. are working there when you go, because they rock the place. Second, all the baristas I've met there DO know how to make coffee really well. However, I docked a star because it's far from being the quickest-paced Starbucks, even when you're the only customer in line. Some customers just want to order and go, others are fine to hang around and chat - regardless, drinks need to be made promptly (and courteously, which is not a problem 99% of the time). read more

Generally, because the barista guys and girls ignore the customer and continue to hold conversations with visiting friends. I only come to this Starbucks location if I don't have the time to go elsewhere. The drinks are also made inconsistently. read more

I am a fan of Starbucks but not this particular store. The staff always seems friendly. However my drink order has been forgotten multiple times. This last time my order was once again forgotten. After I waited for almost 10 minutes (they were very busy) I realized that they must have completely forgotten my order. I walked back over to the counter and asked if my drink would be coming out soon. It was confirmed that my order never got placed and I was never even offered an apology for forgetting my order! I did finally get my drink and I was a little late to work thanks to Starbucks! From now on I will go out of my way to go to a different Starbucks location if Starbucks is what I want. read more
