Brian was our server both times, and he even remembered what we ordered on our previous visit--a level of hospitality that's hard to find. I had the salmon, which was cooked perfectly, and my wife happily ordered the crab cakes again because they were just as delicious as she remembered. P.S. Don't leave without trying the Dreamsicle cheesecake--it was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal!

Our waitress, I believe her name was Emily, was so sweet and very helpful when it came to deciding what to order. She was very personable, and we chatted with her about all kinds of things whenever she'd come by the table. This place had comfortable booths, and a lovely bar. They have a great happy hour menu, which we ordered from. Do not miss the truffle popcorn. I am still dreaming of this! Truffle oil and parmesan cheese on perfectly popped and salted popcorn. We also had the hot honey and Parmesan chicken wings which were crisp and delicious, and a harvest salad. So good. We would be here all the time if we lived close. Do not miss this place if you are in town!

Upscale without being stiff, comfortable without losing that polished feel. I ordered the jambalaya, and it was a standout. Well layered flavor, not overly heavy, with a nice balance of spice and richness. The proteins were cooked properly and the vegetables still had structure, which matters in a dish like that. It felt intentional, not just thrown together for a brunch menu. Across the table, the Eggs Benedict was equally strong. The hollandaise was smooth and properly seasoned, not overly lemony or thick, and the eggs were cooked right where they should be. That is often where places miss, but this one didn't. Dessert was where things really elevated. The strawberry cheesecake was clean, bright, and not overly sweet, with a good texture that held together without being dense. The chocolate Rasberry glutin-free dessert torte, was rich in the right way. Deep chocolate flavor without crossing into heavy or overwhelming. Service was attentive without hovering, and timing between courses was well paced, which is not easy on a busy holiday like Easter. Overall, this is a place that clearly pays attention to execution. Not just presentation, but flavor, balance, and consistency. That is what separates a good brunch from one you remember. We will be back.

The decor is very nice, casual setting. Brunch menu available. My son and our daughter-in-law and my 18 month old grandson. Immediately given the choice of table with added highchair. We had 2 chicken and waffle plates and 1 shrimp and grits. $16.50 My chicken and waffles were acceptable, but I've had better. Chicken tenders seemed to be overly battered, diced potatoes were fine. $14.50 a plate. Service was good, did not have to wait for anything. Ambiance once again, very nice, clean, no smells. Recommend going and checking it out. Lots of other plates in the brunch menu.

It's next to a small playground and new amphitheater, so I'm sure this place gets quite busy on weekends. One person in our party said her salad had the best dressing she's ever had. The fried pickles were good. The shrimp was good. One bartender was good. Cons - We walked in and basically weren't sure what to do. There was a woman at we thought was a hostess stand, but she never said anything to us. We finally asked if we needed to check in with her to get seated. We did. But it was kind of weird. One bartender was awful. Never made eye contact. Wouldn't take any orders. Acted like she wanted to be anywhere else. I thought the Caesar salad was ok. It came with lacquered salmon. I would have loved the salmon, but not lacquered. It couldn't be made to order. Ok fine. I ordered it the way it was described. There was nothing lacquered about that salmon. It also was shredded on top of the salad and was maybe two ounces. That's ridiculous. Our server wasn't very helpful and not very attentive. I'm sure many people have had great experiences there, but I'm not sure I would take the time to go back.

Perfect crust! So cinnamon-y sweet I ate the whole thing without syrup! Soft scrambled eggs were like heaven. Pork sausage links were so juicy. The grilled potato's so, so good, paired with the sausage it was the perfect amount of salt. I also got a side of sautéed mushrooms, you cannot go wrong with that combo if you love all of these things. The chef really cares for his craft. The vibe of the Acorn Hill Lodge And Bistro is absolutely adorable. Neon light sign in the window, Christmas lights wrapped around supports. Not too bright, not too dark. Again, perfect for early morning! They have more amenities and businesses on sight I hope to check out in the future. No photos, I ate it all too fast. Sorry, not sorry. 10/10! Get those Pancakes!

The waitress never apologized or explained. I had to ask for a box and the check because she was just looking at me without saying anything. Also the food wasn't fantastic either. The eggs weren't totally cooked, the quesadilla was soggy on one side, and I asked for an English muffin but got white bread instead. We asked for berries on the French toast and that was not added. For waiting 45 minutes the meal wasn't anything special. Im giving it a 2 star because the food wasn't disgusting and the environment was relaxing and laid back, oh and the friendly black cat when we walked in was cute.

I have several issues but will start with the first one that really bothers me: 1. As I approached the restaurant I noticed this homeless man walking around the block with a walker. I was in Dish from 5 - 6:30 and this homeless man came in THREE times to go into the bathroom (he was not a customer). This was not only a huge turn off but IMO a sanitary issue of him going into the bathroom doing who knows what. I saw the expression on the waitress face like she did not know what to do. Was there a manager working? Is this how it is at every restaurant in town that they allow homeless people in to use the bathroom? Are there homeless shelters for people in town to provide care and feeding for them? 2. I ordered a glass of wine on the Happy Hour menu and it was weak, like water was added to it. 3. I ordered the Smoke Salmon encrusted in Puff Pastry and the puff pastry was not cooked all the way (it was clearly visible that it was not a golden brown but rather a pale yellow. I just hope my future experiences in this lovely town on much better than I experienced last night. And one more thing, I have stomach issues today, and all I can think of is the cooks using that bathroom where this homeless guys went in 3 times in 90 minutes. I question how this is not Board of Health Violation.
