I want to recognize the outstanding leadership and customer service provided by the General Manager, Keri. She consistently creates an inviting, positive experience for both customers and staff. Her professionalism, warmth, and dedication are evident every time she is on shift. During the brief period when Keri was out, the overall atmosphere noticeably changed. Customer service declined, and the drive‑thru was closed, which was disappointing. The individual covering her role did not demonstrate the same level of customer‑focused leadership that Keri brings daily. Keri is truly exceptional. Having worked in multiple fast‑food environments and management positions myself, I can confidently say that she is a rare find. She is hardworking, caring, and naturally gifted in customer service. They didn't make my order. Said they couldn't make the sandwich after saying they were working on the order. I had waited a half hour before even being told. They had said they were working on my order when I got there. I asked for reimbursement since the sandwich couldn't be made. They hadn't even started the smoothie and I had to get to an appointment. They said couldn't reimburse me because I ordered online. I called customer service who told me all they can do is submit a claim. This was two weeks ago and customer service still says there's nothing they can do. They have done what they can. I find it unethical that tropical smoothie doesn't have a way to pay back people who order online if the order can't be fulfilled. How long does one have to wait for whomever to decide if I'm telling the truth? Knowing that there are no guarantees on getting our money back if when order online is disappointing and I think it's unethical to keep my money. I will never it at tropical smoothie again because there are no guarantees or protection for the consumer or their money! ... ... UPDATE.. NO ONE has reached out to pay me my money back. I got this reply here which doesn't mean much other than words to look like you care. I followed the step from your response. Still nothing! My husband and I love the food here! The flatbreads and wraps are always delicious and substantial. This place is consistent with their service and their food. Love the kale apple slaw as well. THIS PLACE HAS A DRIVE THRU!!! I ordered ahead online as we were leaving dinner and heading home. I ordered my husband's Lean Mean smoothie and my Triple Berry Oats smoothie. Our GPS took us a back road to get there but when we got there it was ready and the staff kept it in a mini fridge to stay cool! So, I have places to go orders at a couple others and NONE had a mini fridge; they just leave it on the counter under "Pick Up". Now, I did not know before ordering that they had a drive thru; if I did I would have just ordered when we got there. But regardless, it was ready and kept cool. The cafe itself looks like a little small home, it's a good size to have enough guest eat and spaced out, had 2 good size restrooms. The staff were so friendly; all would say "Welcome to Tropical Cafe!" To each guest. The place was clean as well as the bathrooms. This may be new my favorite location to go to! read more

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE. I have heard from anonymous people that Tropical has had multiple health code violations and warned me not to go there. I have recently pieced together the following information- February 1st I got the worst food poisoning I've had. Late January 31st I got Tropical smoothie, and it usually takes about 12 hours for your body to reject food that in some way is bad. Great smoothies but absolutely the slowest service I've ever experienced in fast food. Typical experience is with. Ivory in the line, pull up, they ask you to hold, 2 min later take your order. Pull up and sit for 2 more min while they make it. Pay for your $7 smoothie. If you get behind a soccer mom ordering 6 smoothies you should probably turn around before somebody pulls in behind you. I ordered delivery (food and smoothies) and my 2 smoothies were not delivered. (Not the stores fault, that was DoorDash's fault). After DoorDash wouldn't respond to any of my texts, I called the store and spoke with the general manager of the Lynchburg VA store. She was absolutely AMAZING, understanding, and extremely apologetic (again, not the stores fault at all). She went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy and replaced the undelivered smoothies. It's very hard to find good customer service, but she was by far some of the BEST customer service I've ever had in my life. I really love this place. Prices are a tad more than the fast food burger places. The food, however, is AMAZING. I usually get the 3 cheese and chicken quesadilla or the chicken caprice sandwich. It was an enjoyable experience here. The place looks fresh and clean. Service was surprisingly quick! (Less than 5 minutes) We ordered two smoothies and a flatbread sandwich. The restaurant always smells like something is burnt and the temperature is always cold. The service is slow and the the management seems to not have a grip on the employees. When my wife came in no one was at the the register he was outside talking to rif-raf, we waited for 5 minutes before getting service. And there were employees that are not on the clock talking to people not working behind the counter.
