i hate to give a bad review but this was one of the worst experiences ive had at a starbucks which is normally a fairly pleasant and quick experience. the store had what i consider a normal amount of patrons, with maybe 6/10 seats filled with only a half dozen people standing, so not busy for a saturday. i had a refill coffee in my insulated cup with extra cream which was served with more cream than coffee and was room temperature in about 1.5 minutes from my order. i also ordered a small cup of strawberry grains and a sausage sandwich. i posted up near the counter so i could grab my items and leave and enjoy my breakfast. i waited 7 minutes and found my sandwich had been sitting on the counter uncalled for about 5 minutes and was already cold. i asked for it to be reheated and after a minute no one had even touched it. i immediately took it to the counter and asked for a refund. the staff dod offer alternatives but unfortunately i had spent 5 more minutes in the store than i had and had to leave. Starbucks, this can be fixed, the staff needs to pay attention to orders and drove getting those orders moving off the counter, calling peoples names would help, as in you have to call peoples names, no one is a mind reader and keeping orders out of view doesn't help us drive you to getting our orders. second, serving cold coffee is a total fail, you guys literally have one job, coffee, everything else is secondary. i suggest active supervision keeping things moving and helping the staff meet expectations and delivering the consistent quality product we expect to receive for the price. left here and got down the road after being frustrated only to find mu favorite coffee cold and over creamed. read more

I work in BMK, so this is the closest Starbucks around. I love it. The store is huge and the set-up feels really open and free. Baristas are friendly and efficient. I spent a total of maybe three minutes in the store and then I was out again and back to work. Seeing as I like my coffee buying experience like I like my men (quick and easy), this location will definitely be my go-to for a fix. read more

I really love coming here to study, it's always so clean and lively. Easily my favorite Starbucks location. Brandon the barista has often been working whenever I come in and has always so incredibly kind. Brandon is great!! I really love the fireplace here as well, it's very nice to sit down by it if you can get a seat! The seats are often filled though so it's really up to luck! read more

It's a Starbucks, not much else to say. Starbucks is the place for tasty drinks that have enough sugar to jump start a dump truck and make you forget that you have to go to work later. This had never happened to me before and they gave me a gift card for a value which was less than what I was charged for the item. I was initially annoyed because I had to get in line (I was in a hurry) and then explain my situation. Billy took the initiative to make sure I left happy. Not only did he apologize and explain any parts I was confused about, he offered me a full refund and personally made sure I got what I requested. Everybody in this Starbucks is very friendly and efficient. They are good at getting know their regulars - I always hear them remembering the names and regular drinks of guests in line. They don't know ME yet, but maybe that's because I always change my mind. There are two employees that stand out to me - one is guy named Gabriel? I think, who is always talking to EVERYONE and being very friendly, he is also clearly bilingual. And there is a blondish-chick who must be a manager, she is very nice as well and seems like she really keeps her eye on everything going on. One time, some crazy lady stole my drink and she promptly brewed me a new one. I am in the restaurant biz, so I always have so much empathy for the shitty treatment servers get, and starbucks is no exception. People are jerks in this establishment sometimes, and maybe it's because they haven't had their coffee yet, but also... Having visited umpteen STBX across the world, this location wins the award for "Most Lethargic." When standing in line to order, glaciers can be seen visibly moving in the time that it takes to just place your order. That staff, all wearing befuddled, lost and disinterested expressions plod without purpose from one joyless task to the next. I can only liken their lack of energy and despair to a kennel full of shelter dogs quietly asking you with their sad eyes to put them out of their misery. read more

This is the best of the four Starbucks in Novato. Which is why it is usually quite busy. The friendly, efficient staff do their vest to keep things moving along. There are actual baristas who make an above average cup of coffee. I am addicted to the pumpkin spice frappechino! Parking is ample but can be challenging depending on the time of day. The inside is clean and inviting. Outside is okay but reminiscent of sitting in a goldfish bowl. read more

Usually when I go into this store I am assisted in a timely manner. This time that I went in was on the negative side of reviewing. I walked up to the register where I was told I would be assisted in a moment. The associate went to the back and was gone five minutes. The associate that was making the drinks told me she would be right with me but she had several drinks she was making. This is not the usual case at SB. They usually respond quickly even if your drink takes a little longer they usually take your order right away. The associates were very nice, just not a real sense of time. The interior is very comfortable though. With a rugged comfortable feel that puts people at ease. read more

Stealing this review from another Starbucks to spread the knowledge of the Clover machine. Clover! Many people are unaware of this expensive contraption that is only available at a handful of select Starbucks locations. You can find the one of the most expensive ($11000) coffee brewing machines here. The Clover Brewing System makes coffee one cup at a time, made to order using a vacuum press technology (french press / vacuum hybrid). If you've never heard of vacuum coffee makers, google it to be amazed. Everything on the Clover from brew time and temperate is digital. You can spot the machine at the left end of the bar, and watching the whole brewing process is nifty. If you spring to have your coffee brewed by the Clover, try the Starbucks Reserve beans - these beans come from all over the world and change every month or so. The Kona is great and always sells out quickly. You can buy these Reserve beans in bulk too. The Starbucks Reserve beans brewed by the Clover come pretty close to producing a perfect cup of coffee, every time. read more
