Came here with a friend after watching the sunrise at People's Dock. The staff was friendly and quick despite the early hour :D This is a nice location, the floor plan is open. There's plenty of seats and electrical plugs. We sat in their outdoors area. It's a popular spot because it was pretty full and people kept rolling in despite being a Saturday. I decided to stop at this Starbucks this morning to order an Iced Chai Tea Latte. Kamar served me at the front with a smile. He was very polite and genuinely happy to take my order. As I was deciding which size to choose I nervously said "I'll be humble today and get a grande" LOL. I left with my drink and as I'm continuing my drive to work I realize there's writing on the side of my drink that says "A humble Chai Tea" with a smiley face and a heart. Worst Starbucks ever!!! I'll preface my review by saying that I live 4 blocks from this Sbux location so I'm very familiar. If you visit any Saturday or Sunday between the hours of 8am and 1pm -- prepare to wait 35 mins for your coffee. Reason being, about 100 sweaty STINKY cyclists are standing around at any given time (no exaggeration) with their bikes and biggie sized Frappuccino's. Come here expecting you won't have a place to sit or socialize. And mobile orders - they make them last; I waited 45 (FORTY FIVE) minutes this morning for my iced chai tea. This is my "go-to" Starbucks! I visit this Starbucks at least 3X a week! The Baristas are so nice and friendly! Especially the manager! Though I don't go to Starbucks frequently, I come to this location every once in a while, and usually get either a coffee cake or a Turkey Pesto Sandwich. For a sandwich that sits on the fridge until you buy it, it is actually pretty good, but every Starbucks has these products, so this is besides the point. The other day I thought I was leaving late for work, so I got out of the house thinking I'd get a BK or a McDonalds breakfast through the drive through, but then I saw this Starbucks' parking lot empty and remembered I had downloaded the app, so I parked for a second and went in. First of all: it is way faster to arrive, park, order here, wait for the order and get back in your car than it is to wait in the drive-thru lane of any of the other restaurants between Cutler Bay and Coral Gables, including other Starbucks. Also, I don't think I've been served twice by the same person ever here, but somehow they manage to always get the nicest people. As for the food, the bacon and egg sandwich would have been perfect if it wasn't because, while its outer part was hot as hell, its core was a bit cold. On the other hand, the Chorizo and egg and cheese sandwich was perfect. Now, if your choice is between making your breakfast home or eat out, by all means, make your own breakfast (or go to a not-so-fast restaurant, if you have the time); but if your choice is between McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, etc. and Starbucks, Starbucks is the way to go... well, a Subway would be the other possible choice. I don't know what the heck happened to the fast food breakfasts, but I remember a time when the Mc breakfasts were all good and the BK's steak and eggs bagel was great (for a fast food joint). I'm not a big fan of Starbucks and their expensive coffee..but this location seems to win me over. I think it has to do with the ambiance and the fact thats its never too crowded. I actually enjoy coming into this Starbucks and sitting down to read the paper, or surf the internet whilst I enjoy my cup of coffee. Even the parking lot is kinda quaint. It's nestled in Old Cutler, perfectly situated in my regular commute.Next to the Deering Estate and the perfect pitstop on the Old Cutler bike trail. Not to mention right before/after the Chinese Bridge with it's stretch of free biking (no cars) zone. It's also right next to Deering Point if you're into kayak launching. In essence it's inthe right spot during the week and weekend. Mobile Ordering. Incredibly fast, in and out, always right. Barista Mike. Always friendly and prompt in Making your coffee. But most importantly he's got the magic touch when it comes to coffee. More specifically, iced coffee. Always the right amount of sweetener, cream, ice, and coffee. read more

This is the coolest Starbucks I know of. It looks like it belongs somewhere on the Overseas Highway, probably around the Big Pine area. It has that "Florida Keys" appearance to it, and the astringent breezes off South BIscayne Bay only bolster that impression. The interior is spacious, but you'll want to sit outside, especially in nicer weather. This location is very close to Deering Estate, Chapman Field Park and the Palmetto Bay Village Center, making it a convenient stop if heading to any of those. read more

I'm here once a week while my daughter gets tutoring nearby and this Starbucks fills my needs completely. They have all the standard Starbucks fare, so I won't bother with those details. However, what I love about this location is the staff. They are friendly and personable and always willing to be patient with me as I stumble through my venti mocha vodka valium latte order. That's really the only industry in that area because it is residential and very east in the area, right next to the Deering Estate. Next, no drive thru. I think that's a good thing because seems stores that have drive thru service always seem too busy. Next, the inside is all redone nicely. Now, what takes it over the top? Always very quick. Very good service and the baristas are always very friendly and willing to help out and give suggestions. Their snacks are always on sale and I have never had to wait longer than a few seconds for a drink even when its got a line. Its a smaller Starbucks but the outside seating is pretty generous and all completely covered. Smaller parking area but never a problem finding somewhere close since all the parking spaces are within 50-100 feet of the front door. There is always a nice group of people sitting in there having discussions but its never crowded or loud. Love this location. read more

Since I can't drive to Key West for coffee or tea this Starbucks is the closest I could find to the ambiance found in a key west style coffee shop. I love this place. I come here for the experience more than the coffee. The place is never packed or full of people in a rush to get their morning coffee before work. It's quite the opposite. If you want to be able to relax in a laid-back atmosphere while reading and drinking coffee at the same time then look no further. This place provides all that. read more
