Haven't had one of their donuts since I was a kid and I do not prostrate myself at the altar of unnecessary caffeine like so many in our society do. Why was I here? Basically, we were on the way back from OBX and someone in our party who has a two or three time a day Dunkin addiction HAD to stop here. That same person also has a restroom addiction which of course meant...we HAD to stop here. Little boys' room was on the less than clean side and I got strong armed into getting something, so I chose a Strawberry Coolata. The ice was half-blended at best so there were chunks galore coming through the straw at random times. Maybe I had 1/3 of it before it was a no mas situation. Look, if you're into this stuff and in the area, the location is great right at the intersection of 13 & 113 where there is every fast food/dollar store/goodwill derivative imaginable close by. If you're not, why even read this or waste your time?

It is run by the same people who own Sandy Pony Donuts. A tip is you can get the same level of donut here and not wait in a long line! We got an iced coffee, latte, bagel and donuts. There is also outdoor seating as well. Great coffee and souvenirs as well in the shop.

I drink a ton of coffee and my favorite is the Slack Tide Sea Foam Cold Brew (the Christmas Tree one around the holidays is my favorite, but all of the flavors are yummy!) My wife and daughter ordered a breakfast sandwich. Mine was delicious but but wife and daughter was in a brioche roll that they could not stop raving about. I would definitely recommend Golden Clover Cafe if your driving by and need a bread and a quick and delicious bite to eat.

They offer a few selections. We had the chicken salad on butter bread (tasty, fresh baked bread not available) and the ham sandwich (average). Coffee excellent. The pecan sticky buns were the winner here, a lot of caramel and pecans, with good glaze and even cinnamon throughout.

My kids (who are now much bigger!) still dream of their favorite ice cream full of yummy bubble gum bits. My favorite is their blueberry! Don't get me started on their cheese! When I heard that they had opened another location, we had to go check it out! This new location is awesome! Not only are there more products to check out (fresh eggs anyone?), you can get your ice cream and sit on their porch and enjoy the gorgeous view.
