The coffee place was dirty and in need of a serious upgrade! We waited 10 mins before our order was taken. We waited 40 mins for two tropical butterfly lemonade refresher. I only go to this Starbucks through the drive through I have never been inside. I am doing my clinicals in porterville so I come get a coffee to get me through my drive home. The drive thru line takes forever but there's never more than 4 cars. I will say, they have never messed up my order. The employees are nice but very awkward. read more

Walked down here because we were waiting for our vehicle to be serviced at the Dodge dealership down the road and their coffee was like tar. Also I have a homing device to any Starbucks. It was nestled right up against the freeway in a small strip mall I didn't even notice it when we passed by to the car lot but we were told it was here. They have a small parking lot and a drive thru, along with outdoor seating. We decided to sit inside. I was greeted by a very friendly person who took my order quickly and efficiently I was happy to have a nice person behind the counter because it is a roll of the dice sometimes at Starbucks. Hubby had found us a seat at the table by the window although it was dirty. I grabbed some napkins and wet them at their water dispenser and wiped it down myself. We are on this mainly plant based diet right now so I ordered him a soy mocha and he didn't even notice! Yay because it is a rough road following no dairy or meat so this mocha and soy to him tasted pretty darn good!! I was trying to get some work done around 6:30 am, the entire team was very nice and pleasant even bringing my breakfast sandwich to my seat. But then the yelling... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I DIDN'T HAVE A DAD GROWING UP, ARE WE FULLING STOCKED TODAY!!!! Not only was it startling it made it uncomfortable and impossible to get any work done. This morning between 9-10 am I went to pick up Order for uber when I first walk in there were 2-3 workers . I am not sure if they are busy and nobody say hi or can I help you things like that. So I decide to wait without telling them that I am here to pick up Order since I don't see any order on the pick up counter order area after 7 min I walk to cash register person told them I am here to pick up order for Uber then she notified to other guy next to her and I told her thanks. Placed a mobile order for a normal coffee, just plan old drip coffee. When I walked I had to wait 15 minutes than I got a scolding from the Starbucks employee that I ordered a "pour over". The customer service here sucks. They apparently don't clean and was obviously filthy by the look of the bottom of my cup. We went through the drive thru and the bottom of the cup barely touched my shirt. So we had to park and go inside to clean the bottom of both of our cups. Steve the manager was quick to the excuse that they were very busy. Apparently one other customer and one car in the drive thru is very busy, no seriously, and I think the one customer inside was only there for the free wifi. I'm giving 1 star for the customer service. I just left this location. There was no one inside. Milca was at the register and kept telling us just a minute for about 5 mins or more while she talked on her headset to the other employee at the drive up window. When I started to become in patient she finally took the order for 2 iced teas. Once the order was done I walked up to the counter to pick up the drinks. No one asked if I needed straws, so I looked around for straws while I was ignored. I asked if there were straws the girl with the pink hair said we only have straws for small drinks. I said that will work. She got 2 straws and tossed them on the counter! My brother went back in to use the restroom again no one inside he asked for the door code and was told I'll be with you in a minute. This Starbucks is the worst!!! Do not expect the baristas to make your coffee correctly! I ordered a ice triple espresso made with Splenda and light ice with room for half and half. Instead I got was attitude and horrible tasting coffee. When I ask them to remake my coffee all I got was attitude and nasty looks. I have been to this Starbucks numerous times and all the visits I had there have been terrible. The drive thru takes forever. I agree with the other complaints regarding wait time. The longest I have been in that drive thru line is about 45 min and when Starbucks has their promotions it is 10x worst.. I have also order for pick up through the mobile app and have experience bad tasting coffee. When you do complain and want it remade they want you to pay for a whole new drink. Ridiculous!!! I don't know if the staff here is provided with proper training to make the drinks they sell. Half the time they have no clue what goes in what drink. This Starbucks should be shut down by the city because it is a dangerous traffic hazard. Situated on the corner of a very busy street, cars enter a too small parking area to circle the building drive through picking up drinks. It is possible to get trapped inside that parking area because of the cars that keep coming in - and it's highly likely for smack-ups when getting out of the lot. Inside the store, the music is loud and obnoxious with the noise level enough to drive customers away. Is this planned? Could be. They do a lot of business! The scone Sofie ate was (using Sofie's words here) "Awful." I ate a small corner of it and concured. The coffee at Starbucks is usually consistent; but the coffee tasted a little "off". Nice staff, professional and friendly. I brought my MacBook and work expecting to do some writing. However it was WAY too loud to get any work or reading done. Even with earplugs AND headphones in. The music is very loud folks. I get it, I used to work in the service industry, but please understand why customers go to a coffee shop. In my humble opinion, it's 90 percent of the time for reading, working, and in general, getting business done. And yes, sometimes to catch up with a friend. But even then, you want to be able to carry on a conversation without wearing out your vocal folds. Have you ever heard a Harrier jet take off? No? Me neither. But bet maybe you have seen True Lies, starring Arnold Schwarzagovenator, on a ridiculously priced home entertainment system or if you're real old, maybe even in the Theaters? Glad we're on the same page. Besides, if I truly wanted to rock out while getting cranked on stimulants, I would much rather do it at a bar after snorting 10mg of crushed adderall (that's the way my doctor prescribed me take it, you see) and chugging a Red Bull and Vodka, or at a Mexican dance club with a beautiful niña in one hand and an inhaleable synthetic caffeine vape pen in the other, or at my beach house with my fender stratocaster guitar and my band mates, drinking hand roasted, organic, fair trade, imported Peruvian beans that have been fresh ground and percolated in my Bialetti moka pot. Worst Starbucks experience I've had in a long time. I went in on 2-9-19 at 3:20. Walking into the store because the drive through was packed. They had 4 ppl working behind the counter and I was the only one In the store that was ordering coffee. I orders a java chip and a vanilla bean. 2 simple drinks to make nope not for these clowns. I went to the Starbucks on olive (in front of black bear diner) about 2 weeks ago around 10pm and waited about 15-20 mins or so in drive thru. When it was my turn to order, I was told they were closed. When I asked what time they stoped serving, I was rudely told 10:30, but they still had to clean and couldn't take my order. The only minus side which can not be fixed is the parking . Many times it is hard to find parking which is kind of odd because parking problem should not have occurred in Porterville .
