I was pulling the road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. We all know that when you pass Zzyzx Rd you start to get excited but after Zzyzx there is nothing out there but Vegas. I was in desperate need of coffee and finally spotted a sign at State line. I parked my car and walked past the various groups of people chain smoking only to find a nice group of gangsters playing the slots just adjacent to the Starbucks. The Starbucks itself is located next to the bathroom which is used by people who have been in need of a bathroom for the last 150+ miles so not the best location for a coffee & food stand. I ordered a medium coffee in a large cup and nothing else. I would not dare order anything but a very simple product from this location. It met its purpose I had no complaints on service or quality of product. The décor surrounding the Starbucks is disgusting. FYI if you are expecting to pay the same prices they charge at your local SB be prepared everything is way more expensive. I think I was charged 3.50 or so for a medium coffee. As for the other reviews really ripping this place I would disagree and simply say when in doubt keep it simple. It is definitely not the place to be ordering anything but coffee. Bless their hearts. This is practically the first Starbucks you hit when driving into Nevada. I haven't come a single time and it NOT be busy, so I can sympathize with the workers and the crazies showing up here demanding caffeine. I will give them four stars for being a simple yet friendly Starbucks. Considering the volume of traffic coming through this Starbucks, there will be times that yes, they may even run out of your favorite concoction, but they make suggestions for what they may have if your ridiculous $7 Venti latte is unavailable. This is one of those minimalist Starbucks, located in a gas station with a mini Subway as well. So don't expect a place to sit - there is only a six foot x one foot standing bench. And don't expect that glorious Starbucks wifi. There isn't any. It is, however, covered by the Primm Resort wifi, which will cost you $5 plus tax for one day. They wouldn't give us the free refills for hot tea that we are entitled to. According to the "What you can get at green" section written about the card within the Starbucks app, we are entitled to free refills for certain products and it includes tea. I use it all the time and no other Starbucks has ever rejected to do so. They did accept the pay through the app but wouldn't want to follow the rules written in it. Weird and disappointing. Also, we were asked where we are originally from by the service-giver which was a very unusual question to be asked while buying tea at Starbucks. read more

Don't go here unless you are in dire need for coffee. The only reason why we came here was because traffic was a b heading back home and because it was double points day. If you read my tip, it sums up the experience. We bought 3 Venti green teas and they made 3 grande green teas. My hubby said that he ordered 3 ventis and the guy who made it just gave him a blank stare. He didn't even want to correct it. What can I say....this is a small Starbuck's, located at a sort of gas stationy/truck stop/way station at the outlet malls in Jean, NV. Certainly a popular place to stop for people traveling to and from Vegas. The cashier here today at 2:41 pm of the 6th of October was very rude to some customers. Someone after me requested a birthday cake pop and the way he responded (I'm not sure if he was trying to project), it sounded like he was yelling. While I was waiting in line to order it was the same way with prior customers. When a customer was going to start to order she started with "hi" and he just bluntly said "give me a minute". He did not apologize or anything. He just gave her attitude while he was counting what I imagined to be the tips that were given by card. And another thing that happened was the lady that was making my drink/putting the cap on my drink accidentally used the wrong one and noticed it before I got my drink and luckily she apologized, but she went to change it and once again she was about to put the wrong cap, and threw the cap (that wasn't for my drink) on the counter where the customers are obviously looking at. I don't mind if my drink had the wrong lid, but the fact she threw it was a bit off for me. Whenever I come towards here coming from Las Vegas I always stop by here, and I'm sad to say that this was not the best trip to this Starbucks. A little advice to this Starbucks would be: train your workers to keep smiling and not throw lids when it's not the right one. read more

They were closed a full 20 minutes early and when I asked them remaining employees if they closed at 10, one of them just replied "register closed" without even looking up. After we spent $16 for drinks I forgot to ask for a small cup of water so when we were getting our drinks I asked the girl who was handing our drinks for a small cup of water and it looks like she was going to get me one until this guy told me that it's dollar. So I said never mind. He then turned over to her and said it works every time. He didn't know I overheard him. I went over to him and said he didn't have to say that, he said " Say what?" I told him about the dollar charge for water. He said it was a store policy. I then told him I've been a customer for many years and not a single store ever charged me for water. Terrible service here. I ordered 3 drinks and they only made one. We were the only customers and there was 4 baristas standing there talking to each other. After the one drink they made me, we were waiting for a few minutes, watching them joking around with each other. Then finally asked me, "what are you waiting for?" I told him I have two more drinks and he asked the other girl," are there two more drinks?" She said there isn't 2 more drinks. I told them, I paid for 3 drinks...and still waiting for them. They didn't believe me and had to the register and reprint the ticket...then made my other drinks. Like really now? This was the slowest group of people working...they move like turtles, there is no system in place. Usually the person taking orders hustles and gets the pastries and there are 1-2 people just making drinks...ummm no- these people were doing it very inefficiently. The person taking the order entered it into the register then walked away to slowly get the pastry then come back and take payment....WTF- seriously this is the workforce we are dealing with.
