Road trip time! After that long, long arduous drive caffeine is bliss Coming up over that little hill, then the next. The horizon seems to show something ahead. Oh no, it's just the sun reflecting off the road. Now I see it, it's the siren Starbucks. Just crossed the California/Nevada border and the signs for the last ten miles have been promising Starbucks. As a e pull off the highway, the signs on the highway continue to promise sweet caffeine according to the signage. These promises of a Starbucks are fulfilled. Although, no drive thru and you have to go in the convenient store. After sitting for four hours straight a little jaunt sounds delightful. One purpose to wake up and the only cure is Starbucks. Finally achieving the realization that only a sliding door stands between me and my goal, yay. Kick in my step I slide through the door with grace. The smells of Starbucks coffee fills the store with deliciousness. Having no issues finding the store in this Chevron it's off to coffee me please. The store is not very large, but holds everything that I need to achieve excitement. Having been to this local many many times the crew seems to remember me. Coffee gives us great muscle memory, so grab a cup of it now. The employees are super friendly here greeting me with a smile. Speed is not a quality that seems to be high up on their priority here. Wandering around the store while they make our order and gathering snacks for the journey home is a wonderful way to pass the time while we wait for our caffeine. Make sure and order your Starbucks first since you can get some exercise while your drink is made inside the Chevron Store. The friendliness of the employees is wonderful and terrific. I am glad that besides the speed of service all was great on several different occasions to this Starbucks. Breakfast time is the best time to visit here. I can taste it now. Hot Caramel Macchiato with my Everything Bagel this morning let me tell you, it's so delicious. Oh my my the softness of the bagel and slight sweetness of the Macchiato just mixes so beautifully together. It's spring time and Starbucks has revealed some of its new products for the season. One of this seasons flavors is the Dragonfruit Refresher. This tea refresher is delicious and comes presweetened. It is best ordered with extra bits of fruit. Make sure and ask for light ice, that way you are able to enjoy more of the tea refresher. The tea taste is nonexistent and has a light fruit taste that one must try to appreciate. Not too many choices of food are available here since the location is so small. The new Lemon Cake Pops are sold here. If your lookin for a little something sweet this is the way to go. The lemon cake pop has a slight lemon flavor that those who don't even enjoy lemon would welcome. The new nitro coffees are available here from time to time since sometimes they run out of these due to their popularity. It's summertime now and it's time for those summer road trip. One constant that is true on a road trip; you will need gas for your vehicle. The Chevron here in Primm, NV will provide for all your roaming needs. I ordered my regular Nitro Cold Brew with Sweet Cream. When I asked about why it was so dark, the reply was that is what it looks like. They also didn't add the sugar I asked for. I understand mistakes, but it seemed like every order while we were there had mistakes. There were at least 5 employees there, so I don't think it was staffing. Only one was taking orders while there was a very long line. I know that it is tough right now at a high volume store, but it seems like the training or something is lacking at this one. read more

The cashier that was taking my order he had a bandanna or hair been around his head and it was green. He was in a terrible mood. He was not welcoming. He wasn't helpful. He was rude. When I asked him a question, he gave me a straight attitude, and his tone of voice was very low like he did not want to be there. When I asked him a question about the drink that I'm about to order he said oh no, it doesn't have espresso with attitude, then he asked me if I wanted to tip or not and the way he asked it was with low tone seeming like he didn't wanna be there and he was rude. This is definitely an intended quick stop for those on the I-15 on the way to Vegas as it's inside a huge gas station. The smell of fuel is apparent outside. If you order the house brew you'll get immediate service. Be prepared to wait for specialty beverages. I've stopped in here a number of times over the years on Vegas road trips. Over time, they've remodeled which has been a nice upgrade. Had both good and not so good experiences along the way. The latest, was a bit of a shock as I don't recall the charge I experienced here before. When I asked for a cup of ice water after my wife just ordered a few drinks, I was told there was a charge for a cup with a lid. Otherwise, you could grab a self serve cup at the end of the bar for free. While I appreciate the free option, we were driving and I've had spills occur in the past due to no lid, especially with kids in tow! But really, $1.25 for a lid!??! That's a bit much considering water is generally free at restaurants. I will also give props to those who have served here previously.... I had a mocha sitting in the car for a few hours in traffic. When I arrived here on a previous trip, I had asked if they could add some steamed milk or pop it into the microwave to warm it up. DO NOT GO! This starbucks was rated one star, and for a good reason. I have never once left a bad review but for this, I must. I walked in with my friends after we ordered online. I payed $20 for a plain butter croissant and venti drink. At my home town starbucks, I'd usually pay $9. We wait for the estimated time on the app which was 15 minutes. Then when our orders still haven't showed we ask a man if they are even on the app. He says he hasn't seen either of our names in the register. We then proceed to check our location and ask a lady to check for us. She says she see's our names and will get started on our orders. It has now been 30 minutes since we ordered... We realize the man has lied to us but decide to forgive it for now. About 40 minutes go by until we get our food. Once we get our food we realize not only are our items cold, they are still frozen! My friends ended up paying $40 for 2 drinks and 2 croissants and had to wait almost an hour. Outrageously dissatisfied. And keep in mind they were full staff. There was no drive through and they had about 8 workers inside. baathist establishment wasted me and my friends time, lied to us, and were frankly rude to our faces. The man would rub his hands all over our lids and his hair was long and not even tied back! I'm disgusted. worst starbucks ever. a tall, big & white cashier aggressively denied that they screwed up when charging us for two drinks. I had $10.57 on my card which they deducted, on top also charging another $10.57. As we went back to show the mistake he "stated" that they only charged $1.66 on the card even though the receipt had no such number, also with my card at $0 balance. He repeatedly denied that they made a mistake even after his coworker a short lady with brown hair showed him what she actually charged us. The owners of this Starbucks location (the sad-looking "resort" and casino across the parking lot) are clearly trying to make up for lost revenue by price-gouging. I have been to Starbucks locations in hotels, airports, casinos, New York City, and Maui--all places you'd expect to find higher prices. But this location has them all beat. The venti tea that I pay $4.25 for at home is $7.85 here. That's 85% higher (nearly double!). Making matters worse, after spending nearly $30 on two beverages and a sandwich, I asked for a cup of ice (tap) water. That's an additional $2.17! (I've never paid for a cup of water at a Starbucks before.) I will not return to this location. Assuming the resort is behind many of the businesses at this exit, there's no reason to get off the freeway at all. Las Vegas is only 30 miles further. You can wait. If there's anything positive to say it's that the staff was friendly and efficient. The cashier who told me she had to charge me for the water was appropriately apologetic.
