What has 12 legs and takes 20 minutes to make you the wrong drink? The crew at the Reedley Starbucks. I don't know what happened, because this place used to be good. Maybe there's new management and they get pissed at the sight of a satisfied customer and they're like, "Screw those guys! I know how to wipe the smiles off of their faces! Hey snobby girl with no discernible skill who is taking selfies because you're in love with yourself, come here. You're hired. Do whatever the heck you want. I'll hire all your Facebook friends, too." There used to be 2 or 3 people working so fast you could only see the blur of them moving, nailing your drink order every time. I was happy to see the size of the crew bumped up to 5 to 7 most of the time. It was too much for the number of people they had before even though they somehow managed. Unfortunately they seem to now only hire people who are probably intelligent enough to do their job, but they couldn't give less of a crap. This works out to you having to wait forever while they talk and meander about, basking in the glow of their own magnificence, until they feel like making you a drink. I usually put a pot roast in the oven before I go so I'll have a nice hot dinner ready for me when I get home. But finally that glorious moment comes when you hear your name. You grasp that drink and put it to your lips, only to find out they made you the wrong thing, or they made the right drink but it tastes like crap. I've been ordering the same thing at Starbucks since I discovered it about 16 years ago: large white mocha. It's freaking amazing. I used to order it in Reedley too, but I've had to change that because now, after asking me six times if I want it hot and me replying yes, they make me something that tastes like it was tapped out of a wildebeest's butt hole. I told them a couple times it didn't taste right and they asked me what it needs. Like I'm going to know. I don't know. I don't know what's in it in the first place. If I knew I would just make one at home and save myself an hour waiting in line and then waiting on them to make the dang thing. It needs to not taste terrible. I still see the members of the old crew from time to time so I know they still work there, and they're still awesome. But they aren't there too often anymore, so your odds of that drink you just dropped five bucks on being made correctly, and in a timely fashion, are pretty slim. read more

This is the only Starbucks in Reedley and I have no choice, but to get my coffee fix here. The service is ok sometimes, the employees are nice, but that's not the problem. The problem is that the drinks are often different and the thing is I always order the same drink. I go there about 3 times a week hoping for a mocha frappuccino that will come out the way it's suppose to. A mocha frap that has the dark mocha color, mocha taste and some sweetness. I guess I was hoping for too much, because what I got was a venti cream frappuccino. Like for reals it's white, that doesn't look like mocha and it definitely didn't taste like it. Straight milk, cream frap. They're not consistent with their barista skills. They should retrain some of the baristas. 1 stars for the service, but I go there mainly for the drinks. sometimes I order tea. The tea is always good, so maybe they just have a problem making mocha frappuccinos. read more

Although they are quick with their service the mochas are horrendous! I don't know who teaches them how to prepare them but that person should be flogged. It always seems like they don't mix the sweetener in quite right because it always tastes bitter at the beginning and then at the end I'm going into a diabetic coma from all the sugar. This is literally the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. It's not just every once in a while, I come here at least 3 times a week and it always takes 10 minutes at the LEAST to get a drink here. I've worked at one of the busiest Starbucks in Hawaii and we would get through 100+ customers in like 25 min. I think it's fair to expect a certain standard of service from Starbucks. Some* not all baristas are slow and inefficient at this location. I literally downloaded the Yelp app and wrote this review whilst waiting in the drive thru line. It's been about 15 minutes. All and all it took around 25 minutes to get 2 shots of espresso over ice that wasn't even made when I got to the window. Not one "sorry for the wait" at ALL. Honestly ridiculous. read more

I have been going to this Starbucks on a weekly basis for a couple of months now. Though the drinks and products are fine, this is the least friendly and slowest Starbucks I have ever been into. Regularly, there will be someone standing at the cash register, no line, staring at the register, and not even look up to greet or inform me that it will be a minute (or a couple of minutes in some cases). Furthermore, in the case that I need to return to the pickup station for a question or additional service, multiple people working in the drink assembly area zip by without making any recognition that there is a customer standing there and it typically takes a gesture or an "excuse me" from me in order to get anyone's attention. Weird culture at this Starbucks. Most Starbucks employ people who are friendly and happy to see their customers, this one in Reedley, not so much. read more

I ordered two Frappuccino's and they took 20minutes to make one and give it to me, and then made me wait over 20 minutes for the second drink all while seeing people order and get their order and leave while I'm sitting there waiting. Worst service I have ever seen at a Starbucks. I work in Reedley and will forever make sure I get my Starbucks before leaving Fresno to avoid having to support this location. As far as I know, it is the only Starbucks in town and I guess that is why the store does not promote taking care of the customer. I came in just before lunch, there were three baristas standing around talking while a fourth was trying to fix a customer problem. It took almost 10 minutes for the three to finish their conversation and decide to ask if they could start something for me. I then had to wait another 5 minutes before one of them decided they knew how to operate a register and let me pay for my drink and sandwich. While I'm waiting, the other customer that was there had a problem with some gift cards and apparently the manager in the back office was too busy to come out and help a team of children who clearly do not know how to work unsupervised. It should be noted the three were working the drive through, but since I didn't go through there I have no idea if that is faster/better service. Seems like it might be, but I'll never know since this store will never have my business again. read more

This is Starbucks. So, unless you live under a rock, you're familiar with their coffee. It comes down to service and cleanliness of the individual Starbucks. Simply bad service, they helped all of my peers in front of me and didn't help me at all. I had a $100 bill in my hand ready to pay for a simple order but I was ignored. One of the employees actually went up to the order screen then left as if I wasn't there. I would of gave a great tip if they even took my order. Before you read the review, it is important to note that my lady and I are frequent customers (1-2 times a week). They know what drinks we want (a very specific drink called an undertow, one that a lot of baristas at other locations are unfamiliar with) and they start it up as we walk to the register. We usually get that and another drink, and i'm always happy with the drinks. One barista even has a few experimental drinks that are a real treat! They are always polite, and drinks are of standard quality to other places. The reason why this review was not a perfect score was because once in a while, we get this female barista who is really snarky and practically refuses to learn specialty drinks she is unfamiliar with (heard her say so to another employee there after we ordered drinks). Great custom/specialty drinks. However, I've heard McDonald's regular black coffee can't be beat... so if you like it black, save yourself some money & hit up the McDonald's which is located closely nearby. It helps significantly when you know most of the baristas that work at a Starbucks (good ol' small towns). Those that know me, know my drink & get it started before I even get to the cash register. I was there yesterday. It was pretty busy but didnt seem to take any longer than other Starbucks Ive been too. Customer service was great. They had a good selection of cookies and pasteries. The shop was pretty clean and their lounge area was cozy and inviting. I also like the outdoor sitting area. I was impressed by how clean rhe bathrooms are kept. Several reviews here downgrade the Reedley Starbucks as slow and the staff as lazy or not caring to speed things up. I've stood inside waiting for an order many times and watched the staff dealing with the drive-thru and indoor customers. Believe me, they are not wasting time or deliberately uncaring. Just the opposite! They hustle constantly to fill orders as quickly as possible, and they're friendly and courteous to a fault. Anyone who accuses them of being slow needs to check their insults and step inside to order and watch the staff flow smoothly around each other taking care of the myriad of details required to fill every order with so many options available. This Starbucks here in Reedley is a pretty good one. The barista who helped us gave us great suggestions on the coffee. I had the mocha frappe with a morning bun, which was delicious. The only reason I docked down the star is because they were out of scones for a day, but made up for it. If I every come back to Reedley, I'm definitely stopping back at this Starbucks. read more

If I could leave a negative star review, I would. The times I come here, my drink is made incorrectly and the bakery items are usually cold. Today, we waited 30 minutes in line when they were not even open. Starbucks is a big enough corporation to advertise appropriately that this location is now not open on Saturdays and Sundays. My husband and I were driving through town heading to the lake and we stopped so I could run in and get an ice tea. I ordered a venti black iced tea. There were 5 employees there however, it took them 10 min to make my drink. They were NOT busy working they were busy talking about a "cute" sheriff that was just there getting his drink. THE WORST customer service ever! I felt like I was inconveniencing the girl running the register by ordering a drink and some pastries. Not one word was spoken to me other than "can I help you?" The girl literally kept walking away as I ordered and was being so rude. I even had to grab my own receipt because she just walked away when I finished ordering. I normally keep my mouth shut in cases like this but I literally had to tell a fellow co worker of hers to get her off the register since she was so unpleasant and I'm sure everyone in line behind me felt her negativity. It's unfortunate the tiara she was wearing on her head didn't make her any more pleasant. If she hates her job so much, do us a favor and quit. I'm not a fan of customers who write picky and irritable reviews, but I'm becoming one of those for a moment, because I'm honestly frustrated with myself for paying for the drink I got this morning. Every day, I drink a green tea with no water, cool lime juice instead. I'm charged for a green tea, with "add flavor syrup", which bumps my price up an understandable .50¢... On the rare occasion I come to Reedley, we come to this location and face the long wait and messed up drinks. It's a Starbucks, who doesn't expect a wait time when there's a long line? And there's always the occasional barista error that leaves a drink tasting odd. BUT after today, I'll never ever come back here; apparently the managers have trained their baristas to charge the life force out of their customers. My typically $4.00 drink was turned into $8+, as I was charged for two separate drinks. Now, maybe you can logic it out and say "well, you asked for a green tea with cool lime, and those are components of two drinks so maybe that's how it's supposed to be!". No! Its not supposed to be that way, and I'd beg to see them try to explain their methods to their district manager. To make it worse, it tastes like mayyyybe a tablespoon of cool lime was added to a watered down green tea. I didn't ever particularly care about the Reedley Starbucks, even though I have heard several of MY guests complain about this location, but after being rubbed the wrong way I can definitely say I believe my guests about their service. read more

I can honestly say the service might be the problem. Drinks were good & well put together but the amount of waiting for just one drink is ridiculous. I understand it is at a busy location & right across the street from a college that attracts many busy college students. I sent a mobile order to the location when I was still in class & left with a 15 minute gap to get to the store, I walk in & see that my order still isn't ready!
