In addition to just regular ice cream, they offer crepes with or without ice cream and waffle boats and waffle yachts. A waffle boat is essentially 2 fresh made waffles with a scoop of ice cream and your choice of topping and a waffle yacht is 4 fresh made waffles with 2 scoops of ice cream. My husband and daughter got the waffle boat while I got the waffle yacht (because I am a Queen and demand the fanciest of items). I had vanilla ice cream with cookie butter sauce and crushed biscoff cookies on top and whipped cream. They use actual real whipped cream from the can not like cool whip or dairy topping and the waffles are made pretty much on demand. This combination was absolutely dynamite and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. The ice cream was rich and delicious and did not melt instantly even though it was next to freshly made waffles. The scoops were a great size and the toppings were premium. The waffles are very dense (almost like the density of a zeppole) and are like a log shape. Different that what I am used to but very, very delicious. My petty grievances: the waffles are so thick you really need to be able to cut them with a knife but there were only forks available. The packaging is a large plastic container regardless of if you are eating there or taking it to go and overall as a vessel it is too large for the product. Also, if you close the lid with fresh baked waffles, condensation is going to form and melt the ice cream quicker. I had the employee leave mine open for this reason but we also dined in. Last but not least, the waffle to ice cream ratio is off. For 4 waffles, you need more ice cream. It should be more like 2 waffles 2 scoops of ice cream in a boat and 4 waffles and 3-4 scoops of ice cream in a yacht for optimal ice cream to waffle ratio. Petty grievances aside, I will absolutely be back all summer long because the ice cream was great. They also have a coffee shop inside the same location so you can get caffeinated as well before or after your ice cream adventures.

She'd been asking me to come for years and a few months ago we finally made it. On her own she goes all the time. Now we go together whenever I'm off from work as a special new tradition. They have the coolest creative lattes and teas like a peanut butter & jelly one, lavender etc. I'm also obsessed with their soap! (The coffee one though. Def a matter of opinion but I wasn't crazy about the scent of the orange one. I had thought I liked it in the store, but it didn't smell good on my body. Maybe doesn't mix well with my body's natural scent or something. Or maybe just me bc I kept feeling like I smelled but no one else thought it smelled bad lol. I visited this cute Mattituck location back in late August and the results were pretty tasty. You see my wife and I were looking for some coffee and a place that's different than what we've often found on the North Fork and so MEB popped up as an option. Not a ton of reviews were posted, but from the ones on Yelp (and dare I say Google too) made it seem worthy of stopping. The worthiness is definitely there because Macchiato has a nice array of coffee options as well as pastries and more elaborate edibles (sandwiches, salads, etc.). You can find everything on their menus though you won't find too much else inside as the place is definitely small. A couple of tables, some fridge drinks and pre-maid foods, and an area of swag and other items is the entirety of the interior so don't expect any true cozy feels. But hey, you can't drink cozy (well maybe in the Fall/Winter), and so let's turn our attention back to the name of this place and focus on coffee. I went with an iced latte with vanilla while my wife tried the iced chocolate (as it was written on the menu). For me, I liked mine. Nothing negative to necessarily say about it as it had a good coffee kick, but when my wife felt like hers was a little too heavy in the bitter bang before the chocolate took over, I decided for us to switch drinks as I thought the iced chocolate was delightful (I do like my coffee a little stronger). Before finishing up, I do want to mention that we were a bit hungry and so one of the chocolate croissants in the display case made its way into our possession. The funny interaction my wife had with the friendly staff member ("Is that a chocolate croissant?" "You know it is!") added to our excitement and oh did it pay off as it tasted delicious. Overall, Macchiato Espresso Bar had a lot to like. Perhaps they're a little small, but they pack some good coffee and pastry/food choices in an area that really doesn't have a ton of options. I'd definitely return another time when out east and in search of my morning cup of joe along with a desire for a bite to eat.
