I ordered the French Vietnamese Au Lait along with a sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant. I never thought I'd wish I lived in Smithtown until that moment. The coffee was absolutely divine, and the breakfast sandwich was perfectly made. If you're someone who isn't used to drinking coffee, do yourself a favor and don't order the quad version and then wonder why you're awake all night! It's delicious, but it's packed with caffeine and definitely lives up to its name. The café itself is clean, cozy, and inviting. It's the perfect place to study, catch up on work, or curl up with a good book. I ended up pulling out my Kindle and finishing my book club read while I waited for Hobby Lobby to open, and it couldn't have been a better way to spend the morning. There's a small parking lot, but I had no trouble finding a spot. The restroom was also incredibly clean, which I always appreciate. In this case I've been here before and the place was packed. Location is just across from Stony Brook University so I could understand but today there was minimal activity. A variety of coffees which I had no complaint with. Okay let's cut to the chase. The interior has an industrial look which is pretty common today, but at some point I looked up to see the exposed HVAC ducts which are painted a cream color. The problem, the tops of the ducts were caked with dust. Major turn off. When someone opens the door to come in or out I have to imagine the breeze, or today the wind, disturbs the dust/dirt which then has the potential to end up in my coffee or food.
