I've stopped here on at least two occasions, and it was perfect. The bathrooms have been clean when I've visited, which is always a plus. On my last visit, a particularly stormy, snowy, harrowing drive of a day, I needed to stop here as a place to get a cup of tea, use the rest room, and regroup before making the last leg of the journey back to Western NY. I was greeted by a particularly friendly young barista who made conversation and made me feel like I was important. As goofy as that may sound, it was nice. The bonus was that my students could go to subway and get their fave sub because it was so close. Win-win for all of us I guess! I would recommend this location as a great place to stop if you're in need of a recharging rest stop. and getting back onto the QEW is easy from this location too!!! Always a plus!

I noticed when I was parked in front of the eatery that there was a Starbucks drive-thru sign steps away from me. I looked over some more and there was a Starbucks at the corner of World Drive and Hurontario Street. I have stayed at the Fairfield and Residence Inn hotels nearby in the past. I never thought about finding the closest Starbucks cafe for a beverage. I now know that this one exists. On the Starbucks app, it has a polar bear cake pop on the menu. I decided to get one here. I placed my order and then took my time hitting the drive-thru. The drive-thru is one of the nicer ones out there. It is closest to the side of Firehouse Subs. It curves until you get to the order area. It then curves again to get to the pickup window. What's special is that the drive-thru lane is wide. Larger vehicles would be fine using it. The woman at the speaker area was nice. She went to look for my order, found it, and said that I could drive up to the window. At the window, I got a different woman who was friendly and handed me my cake pop in a paper bag and wished me a nice evening. I returned the same sentiment and left. I had my cake pop as I drove home. It had a bit of an indentation, which looked like the polar bear had a dimple. The polar bear's face was cute. This cake pop was on the sweeter side thanks to the icing. The vanilla cake was moist and yummy. It had buttercream mixed in, which was sweet, but not as bas as the icing. I'm glad that I dropped by.
