It was a breezy autumn afternoon when we stopped in for a hot drink. The staff working were friendly and greeted us in between making drinks. There's seating on the ground floor as well as upstairs where you can overlook the seating below. There was an unfortunate incident one summer while sitting by the window upstairs. We got stung by a bee :( . Just as we were leaving there was a rush of high school students. Good thing we had gotten there earlier.

Super Busy Starbucks at Main Street Unionville. Hard to find a seat and even washroom. But I guess it 'a busy for a reason.

Starbucks in Old Unionville is the most cozy Starbucks I been to yet!! Plenty of seatings and those comfy armchairs of course my favourite to park myself there to write some yelp reviews and upload photos via there Free Wifi! One problem of this location is the acoustic of the space, it can get really noisy, I can hear every single conservations of people talking/arguing/flirting downstairs.. it is definitely not a quiet, serene environment for one to chill. BTW, there are now a bunch of Grown men yelling at each other having a great time! Wondering what shots the barista put in their coffees! Maybe I should I one of those too! Opens till 12:00 AM Friday and Saturday!

[LOCATION] - 5/5 This place is located at the beautiful Main Street Unionville, near Carlton Rd. Parking spots were available on the street & behind shops on Main Street. [SERVICE] - 3/5 Staff were friendly, but didn't stand out amongst baristas at other locations who were usually more energetic and upbeat. [DÉCOR] - 3/5 Classic, warm, and welcoming. There were 2 floors but every table was occupied when we went there on a Sunday afternoon. Not ideal if you want to relax at a quiet place. [QUALITY] - 4/5 Quality of food and beverages always above average. Their tea lattes tasted smooth and velvety as they used high-quality teas. [ORDER] - 3.5/5 - Rooibos Tea Latte (Grande Size): not sure why, but I tasted a hint of lychee in this one. I wasn't the biggest fan of that flavour but the texture was still very smooth and enjoyable. - Blossoming Rose Tea Latte (Grande Size): tasted like a bubble tea with a hint of rose. I really liked aromatic flavour and scent of this tea latte. I also like how I can drink this in the afternoon without feeling jittery from the caffeine! [OVERALL] - 3.5/5 Pretty standard Starbucks experience. The only perk is its location on Main Street Unionville, but the service and quality were just a-okay for a Starbucks.

Serious Starberry Frap is simply amazing!

Not so busy during evenings on weekdays. Nice cozy environment to get work done or to hang out. Love their summer drink menus!

This is my go-to Starbucks because it's literally down the street from where I live. As a writer, I do much of my writing at coffee shops. I like this Starbucks because there is ample of seatings upstairs as well as on the main floor. Also, plugs are easily found along the side of the walls and the distance from the table to a plug is reasonable. Moreover, the wifi works perfectly fine in the location but the speed does get slow when there's a lot of people on it. If you're wanting a place to do work and study, I recommend this location! Typically, I like to come during the week day because there's less people, which also means it's less boisterous. During the weekend, this Starbucks could get crazy crowded. The baristas at this store location are kind and friendly. For the volume of people that come here, they turn out drinks at a decent wait-time.

To mimic Taylor Swift's song 'Blank Space', "... to all those Starbucks lovers, they'll tell you I'm insane, I've got a blank space for you baby, and I'll write your name." Like my other Starbucks (Mackinaw) review, there's really nothing to review, it's Starbucks (you can't go wrong). But what sets this one apart from all the rest is that it in the quaint town of Unionville. This home-converted establishment is cozy, charismatic, and open on Christmas Day! So if you absolutely need a fix, and you're willing to make the trek, this is the only game in town in the GTA. I come every year to enjoy my cup and listen to the sounds of Neil & Sylvia. They're not a paid gig, just some nice locals who provide entertainment each year on Christmas. They take requests too! 5 stars for their store hours and the local crowd! BTW: the real line for Blank Space is: I've got a long list of ex-lovers, they'll tell you I'm insane, I've got a blank space for you Baby, and I'll write your name.

Finally. A healthy lunch to grab on the go thats satisfying and tastes good. The Zesty Chicken Black Bean Salad from Starbucks is less than 400 calories and packs 19 grams of protein. It comes with a mild tomatoey vinaigrette dressing that I suspect contains most of the meal's 13gm of fat and 13 gm of sugar. I would get this again but sub some chunky hot salsa for the vinaigrette to make it even zestier and healthier. With 690 mg of sodium, it's not recommended if you're trying to cut back on your salt. Me, I'm a salt lover and found no need, as I usually do, to add any. The price seems a little steep at first glance but this ain't just lettuce. There is a lot of chicken, black beans, quinoa, plus delicious roasted corn and feta cheese. Worth the $10.

    Winter afternoon.

We initially asked for a table at the back, but were informed there was a reservation coming in, so we were offered a table for two by the door instead. Thankfully, it wasn't too chilly, and since foot traffic was minimal, the door stayed closed for most of our visit. When we arrived, there was only one other table of two enjoying coffee. The space itself is quite small, which isn't what you'd typically expect from an Italian spot. They do have patio seating, but it's not really suitable for this time of year. That said, the service was excellent. We were promptly offered drinks, given menus, and had our order taken within a reasonable timeframe. The server also introduced us to the daily specials, kept our waters topped up, and cleared tables as needed. Our waitress was very friendly, and what appeared to be the manager also stopped by to thank us for coming. For food, we shared the sausage pizza. It's meant to be personal-sized, but we were pretty hungry. The flavors were solid, and the pizza wasn't too heavy. The crust was nicely crispy yet chewy, and the toppings were well balanced, not too much, not too little. We also noticed their pastry display; the apple muffin in particular looked tempting, though we didn't try it this time. Definitely something to come back for. All in all, a pleasant experience and a nice spot to stop by if you're in the area.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

I bought a couple of buns as a customer since then and I'm hooked! Bun Appetit is located at Commerce Gate. It's located closer to Highway 7. It's around the corner from Kinton Ramen, which I have been to a handful of times during the pandemic to pick up good eats. I found a parking spot steps away from Bun Appetit on a Wednesday evening at around 6:15 pm and backed in to it. It's easier to find parking when it's a weekday, in the afternoon. Bun Appetit's breads are naturally fermented for 168 hours. I liked that all buns and breads are gut-friendly and low on the glycemic index. I'm always interested in lower sugar options. I have sampled these items: - Baguette - Whole wheat walnut vegan bun - Lychee bun - Raisin earl grey bun - Oreo chocolate delight bun - Matcha pistachio pretzel - Whole wheat German pretzel - Yeast loaf with Nutella They were all delicious. They were soft and airy. My favourites were the whole wheat walnut vegan bun and the Oreo chocolate delight bun (also known as the messy hands bun). The former had whole walnuts that were so crunchy and fresh. The bread was chewy and soft. The messy hands bun used dark chocolate. It was also fluffy and soft. It lived up to its name. I had messy fingers just eating a morsel! It has 9 g of sugar, which is practically nothing being fermented. I liked how unique the flavours were. I loved the smell of the lychee bun. I wish it had lychee pieces in it. Instead, it was wine-infused and that flavour overpowered everything. I loved the yeast loaf with Nutella as a dessert option. I nearly picked up a loaf after this event was over! As a parting snack, I got the truffle mushroom one. It was the last one. I love mushrooms. It was super delicious with truffle oil, enoki mushrooms, spinach, garlic, and melted cheeses on top. The bun was soft and perfect. It was such a gourmet bun. I have since returned to get more buns: - Strawberry beetroot - Chocolate arancia The strawberry beetroot bun was fluffy. I decided to cut it in half. To my surprise and joy, it had whole strawberries in it. Wow and yay! I love fruit, but I wasn't expecting so much of it in this bun. I loved it. It was naturally sweet from the strawberries. The beetroot wasn't noticeable in flavour. I feel it added colour to the triangular bun more than anything. The chocolate arancia was equally as unique slicing it in half. This bun had candied orange bits in it. It tasted so good with the chocolate morsels on top and the subtle chocolate flavour in the bun itself. It was delicious. I need to return for more. I have found the buns of my dreams, which sounds odd and funny. It's all true! I paid with a credit card. You can register your phone number to collect points towards goodies. I'll be back. (185)
