Tips: - There are no seats inside to sit down and enjoy your drinks and food at this cafe. - There is no drive-thru. - It's suburbia, so there's lot of parking. I noticed this Starbucks cafe next to the Mr Sub where I had placed a takeout order last Saturday. I was debating whether I should check it out. I didn't really need anything from the place. My Mr Sub order had a canned drink after all. Well, after grabbing my takeout, I was curious and headed over to Starbucks. Both businesses are in a vast parking lot, so parking is not an issue. This cafe doesn't have a drive-thru. I didn't mind it. I don't think that one would work well given the design of the plaza with box stores. What surprised me was that this store did not have any places to sit down. It was weird. It's set up to grab your order and go. I looked at older photos posted on Yelp for this business listing. It did have chairs and seats years ago. I'm not sure what the rationale was behind getting rid of seating. I frankly wasn't going to sit down, but what if you needed to? There was one person ahead of me at the ordering area. It allowed me to figure out what I wanted. I spotted what looked like the last snowman sugar cookie left. I don't frequent Starbucks as much as I used to. However, I do make it a ritual to get a snowman cookie every year. I nabbed the last one. I got the nicest male barista at the counter. He was great. My order consisted of these items: - Grande iced peach green tea - Snowman sugar cookie I paid with my Starbucks card through the Starbucks app. Done! I waited over at the pickup area. It was busy with roughly four people waiting for their orders. My order was pretty straightforward. I was holding my cookie. The nice man who helped me with my order also made my drink. I thanked him and wished him a great evening. I got a straw and left the cafe to drive myself home. I sipped on my iced peach green tea. It was refreshing and delicious. I was glad that I did get a drink to keep me happy and hydrated driving home. I had my snowman sugar cookie for dessert. It was buttery and sweet. I loved it. I got my yearly fix. Staff are friendly and I loved my drink. It's a shame that you can't sit down here. However, if you are a grab-my-order-and-go person, this cafe is for you. (442) read more

This is now one of the closest Starbucks locations to me which is what compelled me to visit. I just needed to pick up two coffees to go, so I parked quickly (this plaza has sufficient parking but be careful of the many kids that walk around the area because of the school across the street) and run in. I went in to find a like of approximately 8 people in front of me, but I lines up anyways since I wanted to customize my drink to have "less ice" but this personalization was not available for the new Irish cream cold brews. The line was not moving at all, so I ended up mobile-ordering while in line, then stepped out, forfeiting my customization for the sake of time. I went over to the bar area to wait. I had ordered two trenta-sized Irish cream cold brews, so when the barista picked up my stickers, she looked up at me and said "Vonny? Wow, that's a lot of coffee!" in a joking manner, as a way to make conversation. She was very friendly. I watched her make my beverages, one at a time. I didn't appreciate that she used cold foam that was left as extra from a precious drink she had made... Since I didn't know how long that had been sitting on the counter, exposed without a lid/covering. Anyways, I didn't dwell on it, but I did notice that she didn't pump any syrup into the cup before pouring the cold brew and cold foam so I politely asked if the Irish cream syrup was already in the beverage when she handed me my first drink. She assured me that she has put it in, so I trusted her on that. I took my drinks and left. When I got home to enjoy the coffees with my mom, we knew from the first sip that our drinks weren't make correctly as we had ordered this beverage multiple times, from multiple locations. Hey I love Starbucks everyone knows that by now! And I love this Starbucks too. It's where I go when I feel like a quieter vibe. It shares its space with a few other stores in a plaza so the parking lot can be really busy but it's all good it's the 'burbs - lots of parking. The store can be busy too. There's a lot of in and out. They have fast staff and the line go fast!! Everyone who works here is really nice. It's the standard Starbucks fare. Fresh coffee, all the fancy stuff too. I've never had any order go wrong and everything has always tasted great! Free wifi two individual room bathrooms. They do not have a drive thru so you have to get out of your car. But... This is pretty nice Starbucks. They got a nice table in the middle and few comfy couches. There is also a nice patio if you prefer to sit outside. This place is great for work. Plenty of plugs and reliable WiFi. Slow music playing in the background. There was a short period where a massive wave of teenage kids flooded the store. Otherwise the place is pretty quiet. Staff are awesome. I was handed few samples of Pumpkin goodness. I'm a sucker for free handouts. read more

I got so excited as I thought I can just upload some photos and write some reviews... then GEE!! The WIFI is NOT working!!! :( Yes I know Internet collections may not be reliable.. but ......... TIPS: If a Starbucks is empty.. with no one... ask if the WIFI is working before you commit yourself to buy the coffee, set up your laptop and trying to be comfy.. Starbucks is Starbucks, this review is about their redesign. Sept. 2023, they recently finished renovations inside and personally I think it's a bad redesign as they removed all indoor seating and it's just a narrow walk-way with a wall lean bar. It feels like an "express" grab and go spot now opposed to a traditional cafe. I guess they don't want high schoolers lingering around indoors? The tables provided a comfortable work-spot in the winter. At least they kept the outdoor tables for the summer. read more

Honestly this is the best Starbucks location that I have been. Yes, when they are busy they can messed up your drink but its normal anyways. I have been to this location for 3 years now so pretty much almost all the staff knew me. I love when I walked into the store and got a beautiful welcome. "Good morning Kaya". I feel very special knowing that I am a regular customers to them. The only problem is that this location when they get very busy your drink takes forever cause they are always short of staff on the weekends or they have staff on weekends that are not fast enough with 50 drinks and only 2 barista. So I had about 18 minutes to kill before my bus comes. Looking across from the bus stop, I see a Starbucks. Seeing how it was a cold day that day (and I did not bring my gloves), I figure a Starbucks run would be in order. Despite only 2 people in line including mine, it took 5 minutes for them to take my order. Seeing how I was in a rush, I ordered a simple tall hot chocolate with whipped cream. Unlike the other Starbucks I went to (and reviewed), this place actually did everything correctly. Wifi was not working. Instant one star gone. At the end, the order took about 15 minutes, and after I received my drink I ran out just as the bus arrived. Whew. I didn't manage to use the washroom though (and I really needed a #1). The drink itself? It wasn't even hot! Okay I like it when it's not boiling hot, but I was surprised when I drank it at first it was only lukewarm. I managed to finish it in about 4 minutes, a record for me for hot drinks. Will I ever visit a Starbucks place that actually satisfies me? That's 0 for 2 now since I've kept track. read more

I've been to dozens of Starbucks around the city and this one has by far been the worst I've encountered from a service perspective. 3 days in a row, 3 separate issues. A simple Americano made incorrectly 2/3 of those times and 20+ minutes to prepare a mobile order on the other. The staff seem incompetent at best at their roles and require boat loads of training to get them to the level of other locations. My daughter was randomly assaulted just outside of the Starbucks. I went in and asked if they had security footage. The barista couldn't help me but he did offer her a drink and was super helpful and concerned. I believe it was Matt and kudos to him for being a kind and considerate person. This location is great!! It was my first time here and I tried to order my drink online with the app and have it sent to the closest location but when I went into the store I realized the starbucks app chose the wrong location (it chose one a few mins down the road). I was a bit disappointed but I still wanted my drink so I told the barista I would just order and pay for a new one but he was so nice he just made it for me free of charge. Man, this Starbucks is one of the better ones. One block over, the small store at Yonge and Centre is ALWAYS busy as bees so I don't know why I don't just come here. This store can get very busy though after school hours, so that would be the one time I'd try to avoid. There is a good number of seats here with a nice little patio, so seating is definitely not limited, but the store space itself can get a bit cramped at the busier times. However, the baristas here are quite friendly. A couple don't seem to want to be around, but one of the managers (I believe) is definitely the best! Always has a smile and tries to get to know his customers! All in all, good baristas here cause really, the one thing I look for in a Starbucks is their efficiency and speed! Parking is definitely easy to find here as well, as it is in a full plaza. This definitely helps my grab and go routine be a little easier and quicker. When it comes to a coffee shop, you look for a few things such as the quality of the coffee and treats, the atmosphere, the service, and the general amenities. While I wouldn't shout for joy at this location, I don't see it as in any way below par. The staff are friendly and the coffee - well, Starbucks is Starbucks - my only complaint was that the parking was behind the plaza and I had to walk in the very cold weather. I was not too impressed. I wanted to sample the pumpkin-spice latte but I was refused. We only give out sample once in a while for customers to try out. I said to him this is a perfect time to allow people to sample as I want to make sure I am not spending 5 bucks on a coffee that I do not like. I live in the downtown area, and the local Starbucks there always offers samples to me for a new product I would like to taste. That is just the norm to taste test especially if it is a new product. Unfortunately this employee did not understand the way a true coffee shop should run. I simply left this location in a rush. It's a busy location though, it can be tough to get a seat if you're looking to settle in. During the nicer weather, there is an outdoor patio that's a popular spot as well. Great staff and store. However, as of mid-January 2017, the wifi at this location will automatically kick customers off after being connected for 20 minutes. To reconnect, at least on an IOS device, you need to turn off wifi and then turn it back on. I dont think it is a router bug because the router keeps working and does not boot off all devices at the same time, but rather does this on a device by device basis. I hope this isnt a test of something Starbucks intends to implement at all stores. read more

NOT recommended and not the level of friendly Customer Service offered at other Starbucks locations! Using the online app, I ordered a coffee and a donut. Typically if something is sold out/unavailable the app show that it is 'not available at this location' and you can pick another. My teenage son picked up the order for me since he was passing by there anyway. They did not have the donut I ordered and they 'offered' him a cookie instead. For some reason a cookie is almost 50 cents more than the donut. He didn't have money on him but he scrounged what he could from his car and was 5 cents short and they wouldn't give it to him! He didn't 'pick' something extravagant, the cookie is what they had. Eventually, they were 'kind' enough to just give it to him. A friend of mine heard what happened and said something similar happened to them at the Dufferin/Steeles location and they didn't even ask for the difference, they just gave them the replacement and apologized for not having what was ordered. Do yourself a favour and choose one of the many other locations in the neighbourhood that actually value their customers. read more
