The staff at this location are very friendly and helpful. We found a nice table outside, and one of the employees offered to change the direction of the umbrella, so we would have more shade. There were about six people waiting for their drinks, but it took 10-15 minutes for our frappuccinos. We normally order them half sweet, but just went with regular sweetness this time. I'm not sure if it was an off day, but our drinks tasted very watered down, with little flavor. It was nice to sit outside though, despite the hot, humid weather.

[LOCATION] - 4/5 This place is located on Hwy 7 and Markham Rd. Parking spaces were available in the direct vicinity. [SERVICE] - 5/5 Staff were very friendly & efficient. [DÉCOR] - 3/5 Clean but small with minimal seating. Try to avoid on weekends if you want a seat in the dining area. [QUALITY] - 3.5/5 Veggies in the salad were fresh, but chicken was slightly dry. [ORDER] - 3.5/5 Chicken & Quinoa Salad with Chile Vinaigrette: tasted like a Mexican salad bowl with the chile vinaigrette, black beans, and corn. [OVERALL] - 4/5 Staff were friendly and enthusiastic at this location. The only drawback was that the chicken breast was slightly dry. Nonetheless, a convenient location to grab a drink or food on the go.

Went on a Happy hour Thursday for a little treat. Got two different amount of drink.Took forever to get my order and people who came after me got their order before me. Then I found out they accidentally gave my order to the wrong person. It was extremely disorganized and a bit chaotic. I felt like the baristas didn't know what they were doing. I understand it was 2 for 1, but I expected more. This wasn't my first time experiencing this at this location. They really need to evaluate who is working on happy hour days.

Amazing customer service at this location, from the moment you step in to the moment you receive your order and when you leave. It was also very steady, with at least one or two customers in line pretty much the whole three hours I was there. I tried a grande cinnamon almond macchiato, half-sweet, for the first time, and it satisfied my cinnamon craving. It was still good and drinkable even when it was cold!

Three things always brighten me up in the morning: 1."Good Morning" 2. A smile 3. A good cup of Joe Guess what? This Starbuck has all three ingredients to make your morning [noon or night] a delightful one. Good to know: Only a few sips away from a bus stop [ RT 1 to Richmond Hill Centre, RT 522 Markham Community Bus-Westbound and RT 603 Purple to York University].

What made me write about this Starbucks? It's its ambience. This Starbucks has a relaxing ambience and yet it's upbeat and full of energy. What made this Starbucks that upbeat? It's its baristas. They are cheerful, friendly, and they seems to know many of the customers. They greeted them by names and did a bit of chit chat. Just love the ambience here : ) **Addicted to their cinnamon brioche lately. It's soft, flaky and ,buttery. It has just the right amount of sweetness, and cinnamon. ** Worth to try!

Well, it's a Starbucks so what's the point of writing about the coffee? Here are a few things that are spacific to this store: The music is not too loud (I've lost the count of how many times, while at other stores, I couldn't talk to the other person or answer the phone because the background music). The inside is painted in some some lighter hue of green. Feels different. The community board seems to be very active, with a bunch of local events being promoted. The parking outside is adequate. There are two electrical plugs, one in each wing of of the store. Which means there are four table that can make use of them. There is not a lot of seating here. The store is not very big. I was surprised I was able to get a good table so easily. I suppose it's not always this way.

I arrived right at opening time on a Saturday, and they had all their food items out, and were just placing the description cards on the display. Another family had entered just before me, but otherwise the place was empty. The interior of the store is minimal and clean, very nice quiet spot to enjoy some of their goodies. I ended up getting 3 pastries in addition to the mini-cakes since the staff reminded me that any order of 6 items would be tax-free, and the selection was so appealing that day that I couldn't resist! Flavour, quality, and presentation was amazing, just as I expected based on the birthday cake I had tried from here. I loved everything! Such a spot for great pick me up treat. Prices tend to run pretty standard for the GTA, $6-10 per item. Staff told me their night baker had made all items the same day, so no wonder their quality is top notch.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

The interior is surprisingly spacious, with trendy décor and a clean, modern vibe that makes it easy to settle in and relax. It's the kind of spot that feels thoughtfully designed rather than just another mall coffee stop. Service is consistently friendly and welcoming, which adds to the charm. On this visit, I tried the Ube Latte and the Matcha Banana Latte, and both were standouts. The ube latte was smooth, fragrant, and beautifully balanced -- not overly sweet, with that signature earthy ube flavour shining through. The matcha banana latte was equally impressive: creamy, well-crafted, and surprisingly harmonious, with the banana adding a gentle sweetness that complemented the matcha instead of overpowering it. Everything tasted intentional and well made, which isn't something you can say about every mall café. Whether you're grabbing a quick drink or taking a moment to recharge, A Ok Cafe is the perfect pit stop inside Markville Mall. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.
