It was my first pumpkin spice of the season which was delicious. 20 minutes for a pumpkin spice cold brew. The wait time said it would have been ready far before it actually was. Not a great job managing expectations. I understand finding help is difficult. That's ok, but give accurate wait times.

I could read the sign that lists roasts available today but the names don't say much about the product, so I asked the counter person what they have available, hoping it'd be obvious that I'm not familiar with their product. She answered by stepping aside so I could read the signs on the coffee pumps. Great! I asked what their lighter blend is. She replied "Lake Blend". So I ordered that. it wasn't until I got myself back on the Thruway that I took my first sip. I have never had a weaker cup of coffee outside of a diner or a hospital situation. Even (especially) a light blend, when brewed properly, should have a flavorful profile and provide a full coffee experience. That should be the expectation at a coffee roaster, right? If I had taken a sip before I pulled out, I think I would've brought it back and requested another flavor. The service was quite impersonal and businesslike and it was obvious the counter person wasn't really clued in. Do ya even drink this stuff? The one saving grace was the medium 16oz cup only cost $1.95. I might have paid twice that for a really good cup, though. I had hoped to add a scone or muffin to my coffee order but the selection was limited, didn't look appetizing, wrapped in plastic film--never a good sign. I will say that the experience is particularly disappointing to me especially because they do roast and wholesale coffee. Why bother roasting when the coffee is made so weak so that the flavor is imperceptible?

Chock Full of Nuts should be called Chock Full of Chicory. Who could possibly imagine good coffee in a mall? Let me tell you, Gloria Jean's coffee is my favorite coffee anywhere! In the fall their pumpkin spice cannot be beat. The pumpkin spice hotty toddy is a seasonal addiction. I buy mocha merrimint coffee around Christmas by the 5lb bag (whole bean). In the springtime, the chocolate macadamia is off the hook. Getting a drink there is worth it. Chetan and crew consistently make stellar hot drinks. Make sure you pick up a frequent sippers card or have them start a card when you buy a pound of coffee for discounts. Best chocolate covered espresso beans ANYWHERE (Andy's chocolate covered cappuccino beans are nasty in comparison). I even buy coffee beans to give to my employees, who get psyched when they smell their favorite beans. I don't particularly like shopping in malls. However, my wife can drag me to Eastview anytime as long as I can get a cup of fabulous coffee or a hot drink (like a Sleigh Ride or a Mocha Coconut). If I could give 6 stars I would!
