What a menu and what a chef! Ordering food is super easy. As you walk in there is a counter to order drinks and food. My 3rd visit in 2 months. All have been on a Friday night around 9pm after our pickleball league. Staff were welcoming and one even remembered us from a few weeks back! Ample spaced out seating, high ceilings, feels fresh and clean in the interior. I have enjoyed the beers I've ordered so far. My favorite is the pineapple kolsch done in collaboration with Stumblin Monkey Brewing. I've enjoyed the food. Although, I question why my chorizo mushroom plate was on the skimpy side compared to their Facebook photo?!? I will definitely frequent this establishment. read more

The business is in their first week of opening, no food yet. Limited beverages available. We had the Mexican lager and the sour and both were good. Plenty of parking and space inside. Tables, floors, chairs all are in great shape. Bar orders moved quickly and had severs coming around asking if we needed refills. Great experience. read more

Ambiance: it's a new build in an old building, which is very cool. The production room is available for viewing, which is always nice at a brewery. A mixture of high and low-tops. Plenty of bar seating (the bar itself is really nice looking). Food: Food is Spanish tapas influenced. There are some tapas type items on the menu, but mostly standard brewpub style offererings with a Spanish twist. No fries, instead they serve papas-bravas. They're good if you like homefries (I do). We have tried nearly everything on the menu, and our experience is that the Cubano sandwich is a winner. The Shrimp Bowl is hit or miss, literally, according to an employee. First time it was amazing, second time, it was inedible. Food comes out as it's finished. So be prepared for staggered dining. Appetizers, may not come out first, they arrive whenever they're ready. Service: Drinks are ordered at the bar, or via a QR code at the table. Food is ordered at the bar but they bring it to you. Yes, it can be confusing. Service is also hit or miss. We've been to DeWolf several times. Sometimes service is great, sometimes it's terrible. More often than not, we are simply 'forgotten' by employees. During one visit we had a question about our order. We asked an employee/server who acknowledged the question, then turned around, walked away...and ...that was it no other response. We had to find another employee. :/ It's a really weird vibe. Service can be great on a busy day and not great on a day when the place is pretty empty. All in all, the beer is pretty good, the atmosphere is getting there (it's a new build-out, it'll take time), both the food and service are inconsistent. We want this business to succeed, but they have some growing pains to overcome in the meantime. read more

They are in soft opening mode (no food) but they have beers and other drinks like wine. They really took care to make the environment exactly you want to go to grab a beer, a bite, or watch a game (yes they have a tv!). The beers we tried were also really good. I'm so happy to have this place in victor and can't wait to go back for beers, and hopefully food once they add that! read more

We've given this place several chances, but unfortunately the service has fallen short every time. Despite having multiple bartenders on staff, it consistently takes far too long to get served. On one particularly slow night, we sat at the bar with empty glasses while bartenders stood around or walked past without acknowledging us. At one point, we were asked how our food was, yet our drinks still went unrefilled. Later, our plates were cleared while our empty glasses were completely ignored. It's surprising, as you would expect bartenders to be attentive and keep drinks flowing--not only for customer satisfaction but also to increase their own tips. It's unclear what the priority is here, but it certainly doesn't seem to be customer service. DeWolf would benefit from reassessing its bartending staff and refocusing on service as a top priority. In the hospitality industry, attentive service should always come first. read more

Great new hot spot that Victor needed. It was very crowded when we arrived on a Saturday evening. Great to see a new business being supported by the community. Food was top notch and the pricing is fair. We tried several appetizers which were delicious! Main plates were all flavorful and fresh. My only comments are that it's very confusing walking in and with no signage or staff help with letting guests know you have to order at the counter. When we finally found a table, we sat there for a while not knowing they don't serve your table. Not a deal breaker but signage would help guests who are new. We decided to go on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and found this brewery to be a great spot. It's only been open 4 months so we both said we'd give a little pass on the food because newer places take awhile to get into a decent menu. We shouldn't have feared that because --wow! The food was top notch. Not sure why I was expecting German fare but it was actually Spanish and done so well. I had the wings with DeWolf's own sauce and they were larger and cooked perfectly. He had a Cuban and it was delicious. So much meat and the bread was also wonderful. The potatoes were cubed (I forget the name) and very tasty. The space is open like most breweries and there's huge windows into the brewing space. The outer windows overlook train tracks and since it was a sunny day, it was very pleasant. Staff were welcoming and greeted us right at the door. Usually you order from the counter but since it was lunch and not that busy, our bartender took our both food and drink orders. Beer selection was decent. Sampled 2 IPAs and one darker British ale. Good pours and you can even order 1/2 pours. I had a Surfside since I normally have seltzers. There was a cocktail menu if you like those. Prices are comparable to others in the area. We did get 1/2 off our first pour for downloading their app. Great spot and I can't wait to see it humming in the summer! read more

DeWolf Beer Geeks Destination! In a region full of breweries that often feel the need to have so many IPA's. Justin & his wife Mari DeWolf have refreshingly confident, quieter approach--letting quality and intention do the talking. While there, I had the Melted Gold Pale Lager--wow. A truly unique, malty lager with a subtle pine aroma and a gentle pine finish that adds complexity without overpowering the base beer. The real surprise, though, was the Kentucky Common. Do yourself a favor and just try it--it was hands down the best of the lineup and a rare treat to see this style brewed so well. I'll Have Another Festbier (Munich Oktoberfest) was exactly what you want from the style: lighter in color but full-bodied, with rich malt character, a crisp hop balance, and a clean, snappy finish. Incredibly drinkable and very well executed. Justin and Mari DeWolf bring deep brewing credibility to the project. Justin, was a respected homebrewer in Spain before returning to New York. They've also assembled a strong professional team, including head brewer Zack Haggerty, whose experience spans both coasts. Zack began his brewing journey in Oregon at the legendary Pelican Brewing and ultimately made his way back east, with time in Vermont--experience that clearly shows in the balance and precision of the beers. The space itself is equally impressive. The 8,500-square-foot building features multiple distinct seating areas and a large central bar. The heart of the brewery resembles a gabled beer garden, complete with large communal tables that also make it ideal for private events. There's even room for outdoor seating, further enhancing the welcoming, social atmosphere. Together, the people, the beer, and the thoughtfully designed space make DeWolf feel less like a trend-chasing brewery and more like a place built to last. The only negative is the heavy use of high-top seating. It can be quite uncomfortable because unless you bend your legs back to reach the chair footrests, your legs just dangle. Food is good, i dont care for the potatoes that come with entrees. Beer is decent. But in a party of 6, they served 1 entree 15 minutes after everyone else. They said it was because it takes longer to make that entree but the right thing to do is time the other entrees so all come out at once. A little awkward starting a meal when everyone else in your party is finishing. The manager said it was because they serve tapas style, but we didnt order tapas, we ordered entrees. Lost an opportunity to make a customer have a better experience. We'll be going to NYBP from now on. Never had a bad experience there. It's too bad, would have liked to see DeWolf succeed, but I dont think they will be around in another year. read more

Great beer, atmosphere and service. The bartenders are efficient and attentive, food came to the table fast and hot, and servers were always active taking away unnecessary plates / glassware, keeping the dining area clean and guests attended to. Ordering drinks at the table and paying the tab right there is a great idea. Some puzzling choices that I'm sure will be rectified. There are kids everywhere (like most breweries) and they have a kids menu, (and even blocks to play with) but the menu isn't in print? Not even a hint of it on the website. Maybe they just didn't print any today, but if you were wondering if you your kids will be content? They definitely will! There is also no water station. Which is odd. For an establishment this big, a water station would greatly help ease the pressure on the bartenders, wait time for guests and possibly ease the stress on glassware (if a plastic tumbler is used). But they handled it all with a smile and my wait was minimal, so just an operational note. read more

As someone originally from Spain, I'm always a bit cautious when trying Spanish food abroad. I'm happy to say this place truly impressed me. I'm vegan, and I was so grateful of how accommodating the chef and staff were. The pan con tomate and patatas braves without alioli were delicious! My husband is not vegan and absolutely loved his meal as well. He's traveled to Spain several times with me and knows what good Spanish food should taste like, and he was genuinely impressed. On top of that, the place itself is just cool, great atmosphere, fun brewery, and a space that makes you want to linger. Pairing that vibe with excellent Spanish-inspired food is no small feat, and they've done it beautifully. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot. read more

We were excited to try DeWolf but upon arriving we sat at the bar and were completely ignored. At the door there's a sign stating to place drink and food orders at the counter and to seat yourself but you can order at the bar. I asked the girls next to us if they'll take our orders at the bar and they said yes. One of the bartenders told us she'd be right with us and then continued helping others. Another girl walked around with a miserable look collecting empty glasses. We didn't even get to try the beer or food and after waiting for 15 minutes we got up and left. read more
