When into our local store on Rush Ave. Five Barista's standing around, took 3 minutes to take my order and over 15 minutes to prepare my Latte. This location does get busy, but it was absolutely dead at this time; no one came into the store to order or to pickup. They apologized that the stickers machine was clogged so they didn't know there was an order. But, I ordered in store, only person waiting for an order in the store, and they didn't think to ask themselves where is this persons order after 15 minutes. This Starbucks is located in the nice subrural areas of NC. We were doing a retreat at a retreat center nearby and of course retreat means extreme tireness. Thank GOD that there was a Starbucks here... I came here every day during the retreat timeframe to get my coffee energy. The folks here are super kind and accommodated my request to have drinks in a shopping bag even though they don't do Uber Eats. I got my usual iced shaken espresso with sweet cream and an iced americano and they were able to make my order with no issues. Great service here -- but I will say, it looks like this is the only standalone Starbucks nearby (there is one inside Ingles but it doesn't have drive-thru) so it did take a little longer than usual on one of the days but hey -- they're working with what they've got and that's all that matters! read more

A fairly typical location. It was clean and nice. The coffee and food was very nice and typical for Starbucks locations. They might be victims of their own success at this location because it was slammed and slow as molasses. The service was still friendly, but those folks looked miserable. I go to Starbucks almost every morning when I am at home and had heard they had opened one in Waynesville so off I went. Nice store. Plenty of room inside to sit and drink your coffee. This Starbucks sucks. How can the ingles stores make drinks perfectly, but the actual Starbucks never gets anything right-- especially a mobile order. I mean all you have to do is read it? If you spend $26 on 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches the least they can do is give you the drink size that was ordered, not a smaller size. Spend the extra time to go into ingles or better yet, skip Starbucks all together. Customers shouldn't spend their hard earned money on overpriced coffee, just to get less than what they paid for. read more

It's Starbucks. Good coffee. However, if you are looking for a quiet place to read or do anything else including talking with friends, this is not the place. It is small, which is fine, except the coffee, etc., prep area is very, very, very loud. A lot of banging and clanging!
