JJ (the owner and barista) is awesome. She has a wealth of coffee knowledge and loves to talk about her craft. We can't wait to go back!

So of course, since I'm in the area on vacation, I'm going there are much as possible! The place is quiet and unassuming- looks like a warehouse... Until you step inside and that smell of deliciousness hits you right in the face, soooo good!! In the past week, I have tried all of the specialty drinks on the menu- the Hot Tamale was especially surprisingly delightful- not too much spice, just a nice warmth. The Cold Mountain was also amazing, to me, it was the perfect iced coffee. The special this week was the Iced Coconut- it actually really tasted like coconut! My husband tried the drip and pour over- he's a black coffee drinker and loved them both- he loved that you can select different beans to try. I also purchased a 5 pound bag of my favorite bean- the Parkway Pick Me Up. Also love the Squirrely Blend. We also got the smaller 12oz bags to try a few different flavors when we get home. This place is the best. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

Hands down, the best coffee (you know when a coffee is good if it tastes great black) and excellent customer service. My mother and I are well satisfied with our experience at Morning Social last month. We wanted a…read morebrunch-style meal before a hike in the Pisgah Forest. I found Morning Social through a "featured restaurants in Brevard" newsletter and chose to give them a try. I called to check for a wait time before departing our hotel. There was no wait for a weekday at 10am. We sat at their covered outdoor dining area. They have an expansive indoor dining area too. Our server was prompt, friendly, and attentive. I appreciate her "premier" service that got our day started on a positive note.

The missing "star" was the service. We could not get our server for 30 minutes. We tried to flag her down a few times, but I think that she forgot about us. She only came to us once she was told that another couple sat down in her section. We spent in total from check-in to leave about two hours and 15 minutes, for refrence we only waited 20 minutes for a table, the rest of the time it was on the kitchen and server to turn our table. The flow of customers was interesting as well as it felt like there was a line for the bar and people were just staring at us while eating our food and asking us if where they were standing was a line for the bar to get drinks. It was our first time so I couldn't really help anyone else unfortunately. But I feel like there did need to be clearer signage if there was an option to go up to the bar and grab drinks while you wait for your table. Or a floor manager that can better control the traffic.

We came here for lunch and managed to find a parking spot. I overheard an employee say the…read moreapartment complex behind them will tow you if you park there so beware! I love, love, love that you can pick half sandwiches and half salads of everything. I got the half turkey avocado sandwich and a half Bakery salad. They were both phenomenal and I'm drooling just thinking about them. My husband got the Margherita pizza and my 7 year old got a cheese. The pizzas are good size- 13 inches. My husband demolished his and my daughter ate all but one or two pieces (which my husband and I helped finish off). They both loved their pizzas. Even though we were stuffed, we had to have a dessert so we got a slice of carrot cake. Carrot cakes can really go wrong if the icing is too sweet but this icing was perfect. I didn't feel like I was going to go into sugar shock after eating it. The employees were all really nice. The bathroom was clean. I will absolutely be back next time I'm in the Asheville/Brevard area. If you're hiking, it wasn't far at all between DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. We did waterfall hikes at DuPont starting around 8:30 am and then had lunch here before heading down the road to others at PNF.

Unfortunately this place tends to be a miss for me…read more My experience with service is consistently that they are unfriendly. When you pay $6 for a small pastry, it feels a little bad when they don't say "thank you" or "how can I help you" or "what would you like" ... more than once I've been here and had the experience that I'm bothering the employee just by being there. Bought a cardamom bun today and while I love cardamom this was still an overly strong flavor. Lovely texture, though. I had a specialty croissant a while back when I was in the area and left with it. It was uncooked in the middle so I called to let them know (thinking they would want to pull the remaining ones). Whoever I spoke with was appropriately apologetic and told me next time I was there to tell the clerk that so and so wanted me to have a replacement on the house. A few months later I was in the area again and was met with such hostility and skepticism when I mentioned the "freebie" that I wished I'd never bothered. As for the bakes? Everything really does look good. The lunch menu looks great although I've never had anything. The coffee is nice and strong. Prices are high, but that's everywhere.
