I was a Starbucks partner for a couple of years, so I sometimes have complicated drinks. That being said, I'm also very patient and understanding. I asked for a tall caramel Frappuccino with a shot of espresso INSTEAD of the Frappuccino roast that is normally used. I get my drink and tasted it, it looked dark to begin with and it tasted super strong, so I knew that they put both the Frappuccino roast and the espresso in the drink. I ask politely if my drink contains both of those things and the lady at the drive thru rudely snaps at me saying "yes, you asked for a shot so I gave you a shot, and a Frappuccino is made with frap roast." I then proceeded to tell her that I understand how a Frappuccino is made which is why I asked for a shot of espresso INSTEAD of Frappuccino roast. She scoffs and snatches the drink from my hand and clearly starts gossiping to her coworkers. Having worked at Starbucks, I know how important customer service is, and this lady was just so rude. On top of everything, I was waiting on my order for 10 minutes before she even gave me the wrong drink. Wouldn't be surprised if their timer is as bad as their customer service. I frequent many Starbucks across New England in my travels for work, and I have to say every bad experience I have ever had at a Starbucks has been at this particular location. This morning I ordered a Venti Mocha Light Frappuccino and added no whip after my order. Now hear me out, at other Starbucks, I have been asked if I want whip on my mocha light frappuccino. So to save the additional question, I state it upfront. I ordered through the drive thru and the young lady taking my order decided to correct me and said with a VERY NASTY tone"it doesn't come with whip that's why it's called mocha light." Unnecessary. Her attitude was uncalled for and rude. Her job is to take my order, be pleasant and deliver what I ordered without a side of sass. This isn't the first issue with team member's feeling it necessary to "correct" me and other customers at this location. Going forward I'll get my coffee from the Bruegger's Bagels down the road here, where they are always pleasant. Coach your team please Starbucks because you aren't the only game in town. read more

Really THE worst Starbucks in the New Haven area, and the worst one I have ever been to. They never get my order correct, they don't know how to make the drinks correctly and I frequently get double charged on my debit card. The only reason I sometimes come here is out of pure convenience because it's right off the merritt and it's a drive through. I usually have such good luck with Starbucks. read more

Well, things change, and I don't find this store to be as good as I used to. The usual culprit - service isn't what it used to be, with workers goofing around and not overly focused on customers. Always a long wait, not sure why since when I go there is no more than 2 cars in the drive-thru. I'm giving this one three stars because the drinks are always great, but I can't wrap my head around how the employees are always rude and sour. It's like they can't be bothered to make your coffee- hello, isn't that your job? I understand having a bad day every once and while, but it's every single time I go in there. There are a few redeeming employees who are so sweet, but I only encounter them once in a blue moon. I always have pleasant experiences at this particular Starbucks but today was worth noting. I had made a purchase a couple of days ago for the company I work for and they require receipts for every transaction. I misplaced the receipt and came back today to see if they could write one out for me. I was helped by a manager named Charles and a barista named Becca. Both assisted me and Becca even tried to look up the receipt on the computer. She eventually wrote out a receipt for me with Charles' assistance and Charles left his signature on it. They were both very accommodating and made it seem like I was of no inconvenience at all. Great people and great experience. read more

As a Starbucks partner myself, I hate to give anyone a bad rating, however this location got three strikes in one visit. I gave my boyfriend the order written down and he said it perfectly the first time. While he was ordering the women on speaker interrupted him and then gave us a snarky attitude both before and after I requested using my partner discount. When I got to the window the person on the window abruptly asked what store I worked at which isn't relevant, didn't ask for the numbers he needed, didn't apply the discount and the drink was totally incorrect at the end. This Starbucks should probably hire some more people who know how to make coffee and know how to not have an attitude. EVERY SINGLE TIME IVE EVER CAME HERE, something has gone wrong. This one lady specifically at the drive thru has such an attitude for no reason and every time she takes my order something comes out wrong with my coffee. Also, compared to the Hamden Starbucks and the other ones I've been too this one takes SO LONG I've literally waited in the drive thru behind 2 cars for 20 minutes and going inside doesn't decrease the waiting time by much. It's literally not that hard to make a iced coffee with caramel and cream yet it gets screwed up every time because this Starbucks hires people who don't know how to make a coffee. Stay away fom this Starbucks in Woodbridge, CT. I am lactose intolerant. I always ask for my drinks with SOY milk. They have given me milk instead of soy more than once. They did it again yesterday and made my smoothie with milk. How do I know even though the tag on the drink said soy? I suffered the classic symptoms of lactose intolerance starting about 1 hour after drinking the smoothie. It made me so sick all night that I had to stay home from work today. My husband reminded me that this has happened before when I have gotten drinks from this Starbucks although with less severe symptoms because the drinks had less milk in them. I went to the drive up so I could not watch them make the drink. I have also noticed that the employees at this store do not pay attention to what they are doing and goof off alot. Went to This Starbucks location to place a drink order. It seems I got there during shift change. The barista left and the women that was doing the trash started taking orders. She did not wash her hands! She went from trash, to cashier, then making drinks. This is not the only encounter I had with her. Last time she was on trash duty and she wanted to take my order and I told her she didn't wash her hands. With a straight face she informed me she did. I had been in the slow short line waiting and watching. Then she washed her hands. The manager was there that night. When you work around food hygiene is very important. Not sure what is going on with this Starbucks. It seems like the management or owner changed about a year or so ago. I have been going there for years and they used to have the friendliest, most helpful staff. Ever since there was a renovation a little while ago, the new workers are slow and unfriendly and the store is always running out of food early. read more

I love Starbucks but not this location. Service is slow inside and at drive thru, drink orders are often completely wrong or just not prepared to Starbucks standard, and most disappointing, the staff is less than pleasant. I am surprised that the problems have been allowed to continue. read more

Typical Starbucks fare but really slow service. Since I drive right by on my way to work I often stop by for coffee but the waits can be really long both inside and using the drive thru. It can take 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee. If your looking for a quick cup of java go elsewhere. read more

I am a regular customer of many years and usually visit Starbucks daily. I visited this store yesterday afternoon and had a very upsetting experience. I am not as upset by the problem that occurred (these things happen) as by the rude and dismissive way I was treated, not the Starbucks experience I treasure! I approached the counter to add money ($100) to my SBX card as I was planning to buy a gift. The trainee added the money to my card and rang up my purchase with a pleasant and efficient manner, However, the printer was not working at her machine and she could not give me a receipt for my purchases. A more experienced team member came over and tried to assist her. He was also peasant and helpful but was unable to get that machine to print a receipt. His solution was to move to the next register and attempt to pull up my order and print from there. It would not work an after a few minutes of trying, he called the manager out of the back and to the register to assist. The manager, who did not identify himself or speak to me, worked at that computer for around 10 minutes. Eventually the team member told me that the only solution was to credit the $100 back to my account and to redo the transaction on that new register. I complied and did what was asked, inserting my card several times as requested during the process. After this, they were able to give me the receipt for the $100 to my card and my purchases but still not for the $100 credited back. The manager gave me $4 courtesy card and left as I was expressing concern about this. I sat down and pulled up my bank website and found that I had been charges twice for the $100 to my card (only one of which was on the card!) and no money had been credited back. I shared this with the young woman at the register who went and told the manager who said (via this team member, not coming out) I needed to "refresh" my app and the money would be there. I sat at the restaurant for another 15 minutes, opening and closing this website and calling my bank. The money was never credited. I again asked to speak to the manager who came out around 5 minutes later, obviously annoyed and told me the money would "be there" at some point. I told him the bank disagreed and I needed the $100. he remained dismissive and I told him I needed to have the $100 re-credited or we would need to call the police to resolve the issue. He was obviously exasperated and said only store credit was possible. I told him to load a card with the $100 and that would be fine. He loaded a new card with that amount and told me (three times) to bring it back when the other funds were credited to the account as he was sure they would be. Again, I am not concerned about the problems with the register or the printing. I am very upset at having been held up well over a half hour and treated like an annoyance and a thief by your manager. His behavior was rude and unprofessional. The team members appeared embarrassed and the whole interaction was humiliating. The money still has not been credited to my account so I transferred the funds from the gift card he gave me to my existing card. I feel like this young man does not exemplify the company I know. I do not pan to return to this location unless an apology and an explanation can be offered as to my treatment. I wonder if I were someone different (not a white, middle-aged, middle-class disabled woman) if he would have called the police on me given the mistrust, entitlement and rudeness with which I was treated. read more
