We stopped in to this Starbucks on Saturday morning (6/21/25 around 9:45am) mainly to pick up the Illinois "Been There" Discovery Series mug to add to our collection, since we were right near the state line. We also placed a mobile order for a coffee through the Starbucks app while we were there. The store itself appeared fairly new--clean, bright, and modern. There were no other customers inside during our visit, which made the lack of engagement from the staff even more noticeable. Not once were we greeted or acknowledged by any of the employees--not when we walked in, not while we waited. After selecting our merchandise, we stood at the counter for a good 5-ish minutes watching staff wondering who will help us before anyone came over to help. When someone finally did, the interaction was very transactional--no hello, no thank you, just a quick ring-up and that was it. My mobile order was ready and correct, and we appreciated the clean, quiet environment. But overall, the experience felt cold and impersonal. Customer service really goes a long way, and unfortunately, it was really missing here. Will I be back? Nope! I'll give a local coffee shop my business instead. read more

Contrary to what many others have written, I had a positive experience comparable and consistent with other Starbucks. And, it actually was probably a little more positive than average. I go there with my computer and order a regular coffee on the mobile app, so where people say they mess up the drinks, I admit it should not be too difficult to press a button and put a lid on the cup properly. When I picked up my cup, I had to ask for a sleeve and a stopper. They gave me the sleeve and they said they have no stoppers. I am not sure if this store was out or will not be using them. All the stores seem to be conserving these and not keeping them out with easy access. This is a newer Starbucks and the first time at this location. I am a 2-3 time per week customer of the brand and have been for 20 years. I happen to like the tables in this one as so many have gone to the small round and it is really challenging for me to work at and part of the reason I spend more time at Panera now. One of the staff was opening the windows and asked if that was ok or was the sun bothering me so that was nice. The store was clean and so was the bathroom I used. There is also a very nice patio on the side which I think was enclosed with a fence. I would think at least 30 people could be accommodated out there although I did not count the seats. Also, this place was busy. Many were regulars as staff were acknowledging them by name. So, it is obvious that the proportion of negatives is kind of high. read more

Ordered a latte and they made it with a quad of espresso, which I didn't order. (About 3 dollars of an up charge ) I went back for them to fix my drink and they were rude and got even more upset when I asked them if they would give me back the price difference. The second drink they made me was definitely not the same one I had ordered originally, it was a different color and taste. At this point I just wanted a refund and to go to a different Starbucks. I dont usually leave any sort of review but after giving this starbucks multiple tries, i have to say its pretty bad. First of rude servuce at the drive thru, they are always so rude every single time no matter how nice you talk to them. The drink are never right , they are always off. Staff could definitely be more customer friendly. It would be nice to have them call your name so you know when your order is ready. Why was this discontinued in the first place. Having a garbage container outside would be nice when sitting outdoors. Everyone just leaves their trash. The tables inside are always dirty as well. The bathroom should be checked more often as well. read more
