i am SO disappointed about the management change the drinks use to be so good but it's obvious there's either an ingredient quality change or a lack of training. i went a couple of weeks ago and ordered a mango green tea with popping boba and the tea tasted sour and gross from the start. i returned a couple of days ago and ordered a chocolate slush and it was incredible disgusting. it was basically chocolate milk with stale boba at the botttom. the claw machines were also exchanged for scammy ones that basically never give out rewards. i'm mainly just upset about the how nasty the drinks now are and how i'll have to find a new boba shop. read more

This was first time going to Kung Fu Tea and the experience was better than I imagined! It's definitely the cleanest establishment I've been to in regards to "fast" food! Clean enough to eat off the floors. The tea was delicious but I'm just not a fan of tapioca balls regardless. My sister in law said they were the best they've had and they drink boboa tea all the time. It was also nice to see that they use fresh ingredients instead of being so processed. We got the Oreo milk (lactaid) drink and my family got the oolong tea! Both were great! I'm not sure if we will come back but that's only due to the fact that we're not boboa tea people! Really excited for Kung Fu Tea to join Libertyville! The interior is fun with Kung Fu Tea branded wallpaper. There are plenty of tables to drink your milk tea & chat with friends. I got the classic black milk tea with 50% sugar and boba. (Yes, you can adjust your sugar and ice levels to your liking!) The tea is brewed well and very flavorful. This location is still working out the kinks so that is why it's two stars. I put in an order through the app, we arrived a few minutes before the estimated order completion time, we wait 10 minutes for someone to tell us they don't have the flavor we ordered, which means we now have to wait for the new drink to be made. This is our third visit and there has always been a line of people waiting for their drinks. The space is big with plenty of seating, and it's clean. They just need to get faster and more efficient at processing the orders. (Because I'm still waiting for a drink to be made while writing this review.) read more

We came here for the first time a little over a week ago and have been back a handful of times since. The first time we came the gentleman at the cash register seemed very confused and my drink was made as the princess peach oolong instead of just the oolong. I'm pretty sure he was in training, and thus took the first interaction with a grain of salt. Since our first visit we have been ordering on the APP, so much easier to see what they have and all the toppings. This place is extremely clean and overall has some classic flavors. My friends and I stopped by here. We ordered taro milk tea, yogurt grapefruit, honey oolong tea, and strawberry lemonade. Our favorite by far was the honey oolong milk tea, highly recommend! We ordered 2 of these with almond milk and unfortunately we really didn't enjoy it. The almond milk drink tastes kind of burnt and maybe just didn't mix well with this particular tea. Unfortunatley the only other dairy free option was lactaid. I do hope they add other dairy free milk options (oat, coconut, soy) in the future! The staff was kind enough to replace our almond milk drinks with lactaid milk at no cost since we really didn't enjoy the drinks containing almond milk. read more

I was in the area and decided to stop by to grab my go to drink. The customer service was fast and very friendly. Love the music and setup of the establishment crated a relaxing atmosphere. Establishment was very clean and and were very attentive on keeping it clean. Most importantly my King Fu Milk tea was the best I have ever had. I always ordered this drink at other Kung Fu Tea locations and is always good but this time around it was flat out delicious. I asked the people at the front counter if there ingredients are different from the other locations and they said no. This means it's all on the preparation of the drink and the attention to detail. Like I said before this drink has always been good to me at the others locations but the way they prepared the drink here I was flat out great. My favorite go-to boba place! I was so so so happy they open one close to home. I use to go to glenview or Evanston all the time but it was a hike to just go there for boba so I was really glad they open this location! I went for their soft opening at night and it wasn't too bad of a wait. There was a couple of people in front of us. My go-to drinks are peach oolong tea or mango green tea which are my all time favorite. I've also tried lychee punch, oolong milk tea, and mango slush and they're pretty good too. Staff were so friendly , the three worked with harmony, relaxed and having a good time joking around. The man and two girls were enjoying what they're doing. They're laughing while making drinks. I went the opening day, and it was so busy! So I knew it had to be good. I had been waiting for 3 months for this place to open and I was so exited! So I stopped by at about 3 and ordered. I got a mango slush and it was so good! I will definitely come back. The wait was very long, but they had music, fun interior and it was very interesting to watch how they made the drinks. Time flew by quickly. My sister ordered an OREO slush and she liked it so much! I saw so many people get there drinks and be so satisfied by there drinks; no matter what it was.
