She'll even take care of calling in a prescription while I'm sitting right there! The downside is that I have to allow at least an hour for an appointment, even though it's always scheduled as 30 minutes (that's why my review isn't 5 stars). And I might have to wait an extra 15 or so minutes for her to start the appointment. Jake is the R.N. who manages the patient portal for Dr. Houlberg and he's very reliable. Just allow a day or two for the response. I'm very happy with the treatment I get here.

i like my pcp but dislike everything else. it's impossible to add my own medical history or…read moreconditions to mychart because the menu is inaccessibly specific. stigmatizing, inaccurate, triggering diagnoses get added all the time without my consent. their way of asking about sexual activity is so cis and straight normative it was a barrier to me getting sti testing for years. People misgender you all the time. the drug screenings are so repetitive, patronizing, and oversimplified they make me want to drink and smoke more, especially when I just happen to do less of those things because of a period of lower stress and they congratulate me as if that would mean something. it feels manipulative and unhelpful to harp on something I've repeatedly stated is not a goal at this time. they need to be much more trauma informed with their billing processes - I made it clear I couldn't pay, filled out the hardship form, said deny any care that is not covered, got a noreply email titled "your bill" the next day, they had lost my hardship form and asked if I could resend it but i gave it to the receptionist and trusted them to do what they said they were going to so no i didn't have a copy. they spam you with reminders and meaningless updates so much it makes me so anxious i skip appointments. it operates more like a cold, uncaring business than a care clinic in a lot of ways
