I have been going to Trilogy for over a decade. The doctors there are caring, and the social workers connected me with all kinds of benefits I did not know I qualified for, as a disabled person. A bus card, Pace, Taxi rides, or social workers taking me to doctor appointments. My health has improved dramatically with their help. read more

Unorganized mess of a place. Do not follow through and no accountability. No clear processes for anything.

I love Trilogy they helped me find an apartment that I still am living in so yeah I would recommend this building.

Even though I have been a client at Trilogy for many years, a few that have been excellent, this review covers the last two years. Trilogy today is a large organization that is only interested in billing out as many hours as possible, at the expense of the struggling clientele. The team that I am on that is supposed to be helping me with my very difficult life, could really care less about my plight. The "team leader is an inconsiderate bully who has seriously hurt me mentally and emotionally. She only cares about billing the state for services and is very stubborn, selfish and a bully. Maria the coordinator is amazingly horrible at her job whatever it is, dr.licthenfeld sucks as a psychiatrist I mean when I say she drops the ball she drops it she is not good at keeping a poker face when it comes to when you tell her something important and she doesn't consider it important she lets you know real quick this place sucks in general you have constant fights in the parking lot or breakdowns I predict someone is going to die from the consequences of these staff members not doing their damn job shame on you trilogy do better read more

Been going to trilogy seeing different therapists on and off since 2019. I had one therapist that was amazing up until the end. The front staff and crisis line workers staff got sick of my shit (i called a lot because my best friend was murdered and i didn't have a support system). It got to a point where when i called and the operators saw my number on caller ID, they wouldn't answer. I call private, they answer but don't even transfer me to the right department. Had to break up with my therapist because of how awful the rest of the staff at trilogy treated me. Told me hang up from a crisis line because i wasn't actively harming myself? Lol. I initially gave Trilogy two stars after exposing the truth about them, because my case managers were initially apologetic. They then had the nerve to hospitalize me, insist on higher level care, and initiated contacts to my cell phone without my consent. Since they seem to find it humorous to traumatize the mentally ill, I not only have nothing positive to say but also have blocked them from calling me. These case managers should have a restraining order placed on them. Rot in hell Trilogy. You may have the Chicago Police on your side, but you lack proper social skills and professionalism towards your clients. You'll probably face a class action lawsuit. Good luck paying your corporate attorney to bail you out of that one. read more

I give Trilogy zero stars. The turnover is horrendous. Once you get someone good they leave. Dr. Vivian Eisenberg is a wonderful and caring doctor who is always available. The case managers are the absolute worst. Due to the incompetence of Jean Winters I wound up in the hospital and nursing home for 12 days. She shouldn't be allowed to work there. She screwed with my medication and caused me to have severe vertigo. I had asked her not to do it but she took it upon herself to make changes. If I could sue the agency I would. I asked her to never contact me again but she continued to call and bother me. Very unprofessional. I hope no one experiences what I went through. As I said Dr. Eisenberg was the one saving grace. I could say a lot here, but Catherine covered many of my issues. I feel sparse warmth and compassion from staff- that is not to say that SOME of the staff are ok. I agree that the staff treats clients like inmates, providing them with basic humane care and in many cases nothing more. If you're looking to be healed and/or you're a trauma survivor and want to feel like you have a secure environment to work through the residual effects of that, I would not recommend Trilogy at all. Trilogy staff rotates in and out like a revolving door, so if you set out to spend time intensively correcting your issues with consistency, look elsewhere. I can only speak from my experience- I feel that Trilogy took my hope away when I was most vulnerable following a suicidal act (fall from the roof of a 4 story building). I have co-occurring substance abuse issues, which were triggered (along with acts of self mutilation) in the past year as a result of my failure to succeed at feeling supported at Trilogy. This was directly linked to the sudden loss of my therapist and the organization's multiple tries and inability to replace the quality of care I was receiving from this individual. I've had many experiences with other mental health services in my community and in a suburban community where I used to live. I didn't have the problems there that I do now. Trilogy's "team approach" to treatment, which includes several staff meeting and discussing your treatment, seemingly making decisions behind the scenes, feels highly invasive. It felt to me like a staff-playful environment with many young people, just starting their careers and interns, gaining experience at the expense of very sick people deserving and requiring more experienced care. I have referred several patients here, who live in the Rogers Park area. I stopped doing so, because the patients' feedback was mostly negative. Now I refer patients in Northeast Chicago, to 4Cs instead. My patients said there is a very high staff turnover @ Trilogy, and the staff seem shell-shocked from overwork. Patients said they believed staff were trying, but are so young, and inexperienced, that the social workers there, just couldn't cope with the pressure. I, gave them one star, because they almost made me homeless. I, got a housing voucher from, C.H.A., and my case management team did not help me find a place to live. I, was down to the last two weeks with my voucher when I found my new happy home all on my own on the internet. I, also didn't like how they cut me from all the services that I needed. They, made me feel so isolated, especially when I could not use there drop-in center. I, feel like they don't care about there clients and are just there for the paycheck. If, I advise you I would NOT go to, Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare, to get your services. There, are a lot of great options out there and, Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare, is NOT one of them. read more

Horrible agency, we call to complain about a participant and dont receive a call back, they never come by building to see the people they bring. These are seriously mentally disturbed people they are putting into apartments in Rogers Park, they cannot live alone as evidenced by Trilogy not even coming to see them. How horrible it is of an agency to say that they help these people and dont even come to see them, SHAME ON YOU. Shame on you, for leaving these poor vulnerable people alone in apartments they shouldn't be in, the first place. read more

Trilogy has wonderful services but high turn over. I worked there for 2 years and was not paid what I was first told.the health clinic is very unorganized and lacks communication. Only a few of the medical staff knows what they are doing. The front office is rude and the clinic is dirty. The psych team is outstanding and the lab lady is very attentive. The wait time to see the providers is awful and my client would get very anxious because of the wait. I would recommend this place for certain services but a definitive NO for work. read more

I find these reviews interesting. Particularly Ida's....This isnt a company, it is a non for profit which acts for the betterment of society. I dont think anyone does this work because it's profitable. This is difficult work, done by people that give way more of themselves than they get back. If they were simply looking for a higher paying job that would be easy to find... I for one have had a fantastic experience. My brother spent the better part of 15 years in and out facilities, he now has had a stable, supported job for 9 years, lives independently and gets support from Trilogy on a daily basis. I thought trilogy was great when first got there then I started noticing two sided rules staff still using they deal with mental patients you one thing to a team member they don't like they stop doing for you I was threatened by a staff member to have me jumped on because she lives near me but because she was friends with the supervisor of my team they hang out talking I got barred the staff at the beacon are supposed to hand out gift cards they pick and choose favourites you as a client are not supposed to be buying or selling cigarettes but staff buys the cigarettes man staff in beacon sit at tables and talk about other clients mental issues which is supposed to be confidential I even see a beacon staff member suck their thump take it out her mouth and serve you food no hand washing no sanitizing or anything and they say that her coping mechanism place going down read more

Therapy gone awry. I have some concerns regarding the quality of treatment available at Trilogy. It seems the staff has a tendency to not treat the "clients' in a respectful manner. I do know the "clients" can be somewhat unruly at times, but none-the-less they still need to be treated with care and compassion. My wife is a "client" of Trilogy and has gotten quite far with her therapist and speaks very highly of this individual. The problem seems to come from the caseworkers/teachers/interns, who seem (to me from what I hear) to be very authoritarian and disrespectful to others with no concern for some ones feelings. Remember, these are people who in some cases are fragile and are trying to pull their lives together. It appears these staff members are somewhat young and inexperienced and need some place to get the experience to be a good therapist. They are also in great need of mentoring, by experienced people, in compassion and tolerance or they will just become abusive therapists who hurt more than help. A husband. read more

It's September 2013 and I'm still getting services at Trilogy. I still love it here. Is it the best mental health center ever? No. But I think it's the best mental health center in this area. Every place needs improvements and from what I understand staff are open to feedback and suggestions pritty regularly. I like the team approach to case management where if your primary caseworker isn't available you can work with the others on the team which makes it so that clients have relationships with several different stafff. To addresss the concerns raised about interns, yes students need to work here for internships in order to get their master's degrees. However they recieve group and individual supervission weekly, as well as a variety of trainings. In adition to this they recieve supervission by professors at school who work or have worked in the field. I'm sorry that your wife has had bad experiences with the interns and case workers there. There are so many staff available and everyone is different. In my experience I haven't seen anyone be abusive or disrespectful to clients. And I feel that the licensed therapists that supervise are qualified and compassionate people. I do respect that this is your experience and I'm sorry she feels this way. I still wish there were more young adults here as it would be cool to have a group of people here that are closer to my age. I also enjoy that they have a healthcare clinic where the nurses and doctors are very nice. I like that we can attend groups for as long as we need to and also have ongoing case management. So many mental health places try to rush you through treatment here I feel like there's a community of staff and peers for support. It's always good to hear feedback from others. read more
