I am sorry to say that I need to give Dr. Khagi one star and I'm only giving that because there is…read moreno option for 0 stars. I did a lot of research to find a hematologist for a second opinion and found Dr. Khagi. I had to wait 3 weeks to get in to see him. On the day of my appointment, his office called me while I was on my way... to cancel my appointment which made me extremely upset. I told the staff that I was still coming. I had given Dr. Khagi, medical records to review when I got there. Staff was very nice. When Dr. Khagi came into the room to meet me for the first time, he didn't want to get to know me or my history. He just started talking about the records I provided.. I was there to find out if his professional opinion was that I wouldn't get another DVT, PEs or both in the future and if I needed to go back on blood thinners as another doctor had wanted me to. He told me he didn't think I needed to be on blood thinners anymore and that was it. I did ask him a question and he made me feel stupid for even asking it. He disagreed with the previous doctor. He was with me for all of 10 minutes and that was it. I was extremely disappointed. After my visit the office sent me a survey about my visit and I was very honest and said just what I am saying here and the girl just wanted to make excuses for him and tried to get me to change my opinion. This made me even more upset. If you don't want people to be honest, don't send them a survey. When I went back and read Dr. Khagi's notes from my office visit, I noticed that he had written things that didn't occur in the office visit. He also said he was with me for 50 minutes which was absolutely not true. He was with me for 10.. 15 at the most. So, I wrote him and disagreed with him. I didn't expect any response but he did write me several times.. he actually spent more time responding to me in messages than he did in person. I thought he would run his own tests just to compare apples to apples with my other doctor but he said they weren't necessary but for a second opinion, I did expect he would want to be as completely thorough as possible given my dilemma. I won't be going back to Dr. Khagi. I've read all of these other nice reviews about Dr. Khagi like how he has a great bedside manner and how he took time with other patients but I just can't honestly say that given his attitude towards me in the office, the lack of time spent with me and in his responses to me in the portal.

While Wallner comes across as quite professional, she lacks one iota of caring. I was referred to…read moreher after hospitalization for kidney failure following a knee replacement. The testing done in her office seem un-extra ordinary although the ridiculousness of feet dangling on a commode that pinched my ass/thigh in a meat-locker cold bathroom, I was expected to empty my bladder. The outcome was not as I'd hoped, but being the good soldier, another foley catheter was placed. Two more weeks, testing by nurses, doctor only poking in her head to give doom and gloom reports, I finally was catheter-free on a Friday. On Tuesday I wrote in portal that I was having discomfort and wanted to know if was just normal healing. After two more posts since there was no response, I finally called, but first had to get past a receptionist that was trying to blow me off... then to a nurse... at 5:30 Friday night the doctor called me back... advising to take antibiotics I had left over from knee surgery without a test - and to come in on Monday for testing. Two weeks on Keflex antibiotics, no change in symptoms. Finally a urine culture. Three bacteria's growing. But this is how I found out... I happened to check email on Saturday to discover test results in portal. Not knowing what I was looking at with the red exclamation points attached to the bacteria's I was quite concerned. Texts from CVS now made sense... a new prescription of CIPRO was waiting for me. I began - but fortunately having read the paperwork that accompanied that informed me of dangers with other drug interactions as well as dietary concerns with the medication, and of tendon ruptures taking CIPRO (!) especially that I was in PT from knee replacement. Now PT would not do many of the modalities once they were aware of the CIPRO. Note to all: Read those damn things when they're given to you! On Monday I called Wallner's and once again, getting past the receptionist to a nurse, I'd finally said my piece about how things were being handled. Wallner called me back - and this time, patient blaming me (symptoms still not relieved) that I was not emptying my bladder or drinking enough water. I'd had enough. I stopped her and set her straight. What does she do? Adds another five days of CIPRO! Still no relief of symptoms, she wants to add more CIPRO... and something for my pain. States in portal that maybe condition isn't bacteria related after all - come in for more testing. I ask in portal what she's thinking... declined both meds... Radio silence again. I am now in the hands of a new team who are genuinely curious and concerned for me and my condition. While Wallner may be good (fair?) for some, she's not someone I would ever recommend. In fact I'd say, run the other way. If you are someone who believes that throwing antibiotics at something - even when they're not working or having been tested beforehand, then she's your gal. If you want to be ignored for days, then that's troubling. If you want to see nurses with the doctor poking her head in to deliver cryptic news, then she's your person. Personally, I want someone who shows their concern, carves out time and is curious to get to the bottom of things. Wallner, in my case was surely not that doctor. Good luck with whatever is going on with you... you will need it with Wallner.

This is the only place where we felt like we were treated like people and not cattle. My father previously had a procedure at at another place and got botched and had tons of pain after. He never lost his cool even though it required multiple calls to my doctor's office. He was helpful, efficient, and thorough. And everyone who works here that I've encountered has been friendly. One of the ladies at the front desk of radiology was wonderfully proactive in checking when a technician could come and see me. Much appreciated. Biggest down side is if you park in the lot to the right of the hospital (near Renaissance Imaging), you have to walk a ways to get to the hospital entrance. And if you want validation, you may get a bit of a run around. To get my ticket validated, security referred me to Admin's front desk. While I'm grateful for the medical treatment itself, the way I was treated by portions of the nursing staff was unacceptable. Throughout my stay, I felt ignored, talked down to, and treated with a complete lack of compassion and respect. Instead of feeling cared for during a vulnerable moment, I felt like I was an inconvenience. I also personally observed a member of the nursing staff asleep at the nurses' station while I was still a patient, which raised concerns about attentiveness and patient care. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, professionalism, and empathy. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I have filed or am filing formal complaints with the appropriate hospital departments and regulatory agencies so these concerns can be investigated. I sincerely hope the hospital takes these concerns seriously and works to improve how patients are treated.
