Our son developed eczema from only a few months of age, we endured much pain & suffering (physically & mentally) as we struggled to get the eczema under control for our little baby, we felt so helpless at times as it would get so incredibly terrible. We had worked with multiple natural remedies/protocols, and a little over a year later, we finally started to make significant progress, but could never get the eczema fully healed visibly, with periodic flare ups and just general persistent redness/itchiness. We discovered Dr. Leibow when our son was about 1 1/2 years old (mid 2016), and with only a few sessions, bringing Dr. Leibow up to speed with our journey and goal to get the eczema completely under control... we finally accomplished what we were hoping for! With the very first treatment he prescribed, Dr. Leibow helped put the nail in the coffin to our son's eczema... within a month the eczema was gone, and we haven't had a single issue with eczema ever since! To this day my wife is still in shock and awe this was all that was needed to end our near 2 year nightmare! Beyond this point, we blindly hadn't found enough of a reason to really need Dr. Leibow's services. We kept in touch from time to time playing with the idea of enlisting Dr. Leibow for our family's overall well being, but then moved out of state in 2022 and never followed through. Fast forward to the present (late 2025-2026), we decided to reconnect again... the motivation primarily being our youngest son again, but this time to address his severe allergies to eggs/dairy/peanuts/cats/dust/etc. The first two being the primary focus as they're in almost EVERYTHING. We had been using the NAET Allergy Treatments, and not to say it doesn't work, but is prohibitively cost/time/labor/stress intensive. We had been doing this for most of 2025, by weekly appointments from January to October and $7,000 invested, and needing another $3000 to continue, and very little to show for it, we decided to table this approach. Granted, with NAET, we had completed the basic foundational treatments, and were told we would 'now' be ready to tackle the main things we wanted to begin with, but it was so incredibly discouraging to always hear yet another excuse for why nothing is happening and being shown we'll probably need another $6000 before we get close to our goal, and that's a very non convincing IF. So as we considered alternatives, it dawned on my wife that Dr. Leibow could possibly help?! Why didn't we think of this sooner?! A quick consult with Dr. Leibow and we're back in business, but not only for our son, but we've also decided to have him assist with the well being of our entire family for an entire year and all for significantly less than what we've spent on NAET! Now, to be fair, the verdict is still out regarding my son's allergies. We've only started to work with Dr. Leibow in this regard and ran into some unexpected delays... but with what very little we've tried with Dr. leibow's guidance, he's already starting to see progress! Perhaps the work with NAET the past year helped this along, but for the first time our son has been able to tolerate certain foods with significantly less to no reaction, he's never in his life been able to do this before. We definitely plan to revisit this review with an update on our allergy journey. But it is just as important to express the peace of mind we share, knowing we have an incredible resource that is not limited to only allergies... all things considered, we are beyond hopeful and encouraged we made the right decision to engage Dr. Leibow again!

I decided to see Dr. Shim instead on my own because I was very anxious about my symptoms and I didn't want to wait over 4 months to see a rheumatologist. I am so glad I followed my gut instinct. I developed severe headache recently and my internist was concerned that I may have an autoimmune condition called giant cell arteritis. I did Google search on my own and I couldn't sleep for days after finding out more about this horrible condition. I called his office and I was able to see him on the same day. First, his office staff was very efficient and friendly both over the phone and in person. Then, to my surprise Dr. Shim saw me right on time. At my age, I have seen hundreds of doctors. I honest cannot remember the last time I saw a physician on time without having to wait for at least half an hour. Dr. Shim knocked on the door and he walked in with a huge smile on his face. He greeted me with such warmth and empathy that I felt at ease right away. He has an excellent bedside manner and listened to all my symptoms and concerns attentively without any interruptions. He also asked many thoughtful questions of his own after I was done. Then, he proceeded to examining me after asking for my permission for at least 5 minutes. This was in stark contrast to my primary care doctor and endocrinologist, who finish the entire visit in less than 5 minutes and walk out of the room without even laying a single finger on my body. Dr. Shim looked inside my mouth, listened to my heart and lungs, examined all my joints and felt every pulse in the my body including over my temples. After he completed his examination, he informed me I likely do not have giant cell arteritis. However, to be certain, he ordered pertinent blood tests and even referred me to see an eye doctor urgently on the same day. He promptly called me back the next day with the results and reassured me that I do not have this scary autoimmune condition. I was so ecstatic that I cried out with joy upon hearing those words. He informed me my headache was likely due to my extremely high thyroid hormone level, which he had checked the day prior. Upon readjusting the dose of my thyroid hormone medication, viola, all my symptoms magically melted away in a couple of days. Now, I feel like myself and fantastic again! It is so refreshing to finally meet a doctor in this day and age who actually listens, examines, thinks and genuine cares for his patients. I will be forever indebted and grateful to Dr. Shim for his kindness, generosity, expertise and professionalism. I give Dr. Shim my highest recommendation without any reservation!
