I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel like people should know about my experience with Tint…read moreWorld in Boise. I took my 2022 Chevy Silverado in to have the front windshield tinted with a brow and paid extra for their premium heat-shield film. At first, everything looked great. However, after a few days I noticed there was a piece of fabric trapped between the windshield and the tint, directly in my line of sight where my heads-up display projects. Because that's where you're looking every time you drive, it is impossible to ignore. When the sun hits it, it looks like a white air bubble and is extremely distracting. I called the shop, and to their credit they initially told me to bring it back. When I arrived, one of their employees immediately acknowledged that it wasn't right and scheduled another appointment to redo the windshield. I had to take time off work a second time to drop my truck off, only to receive a phone call two hours later saying there was nothing they could do because the piece of fabric was within their "allowed 5% debris tolerance." That response was completely unacceptable. There was no apology for the poor installation, no concern for the inconvenience of making me take additional time off work, and no effort to make the situation right. The attitude I got was essentially, "It is what it is." I've had six different vehicles professionally tinted over the years and have never experienced anything like this. A visible contaminant directly in the driver's line of sight should never be considered acceptable, especially when a customer pays for a premium product. Based on both the quality of the installation and the way this issue was handled, I cannot recommend Tint World in Boise. If you value quality workmanship and customer service that stands behind its work, I would look elsewhere.

Review for Tint World: A Lesson in Frustration…read more I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Tint World, a company that has proven to be both unreliable and untrustworthy. My son generously gifted me a gift certificate worth over $870 to have my Ford Bronco tinted with what he was assured was the best film available. Unfortunately, what should have been a lovely experience turned into a frustrating ordeal that left us feeling cheated and angry. My son, who is quite knowledgeable about cars, made it clear to the manager that the Bronco had a soft top and that I wanted all the windows tinted. However, he was unaware of the issues we had previously encountered with this establishment when he decided to purchase the gift certificate. For context, last year, we had a sound system installed in my husband's truck by Tint World, and after the installation, we experienced a loud bass surge whenever we accelerated. We eventually had to take the truck to another shop for inspection, only to discover that Tint World had incorrectly installed the ground. We've also had several vehicles tinted at Tint World, including my husband's brand new $90k truck. When we got it back, we were horrified to find white, chalky chemical drips all over the leather trim and dash, along with two windows that had bubbles in them. We had to return for repairs just a week later. Fast forward to my attempt to redeem the gift certificate after Christmas. I called to schedule an appointment and was met with a frustrating runaround for four days about whether they could tint the soft top. Ultimately, they concluded that they couldn't, but instead of offering an appropriate solution, they suggested tinting my windshield! Are you kidding me? My son specifically asked if the soft top could be tinted, and Tint World happily took his money under false pretenses. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I was told that I could get a refund, by Jamie, since the service couldn't be performed. However, the story changed multiple times. First, it was a yes, then a no, then my son was called a liar, and shortly after, I was also labeled as such. This company has shown the absolute worst in customer service, failing to take responsibility for their misleading practices. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a business that refuses to own up to its mistakes. They need to do the right thing and refund the gift certificate. I urge anyone considering Tint World for their services to think twice. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I can't in good conscience recommend them to anyone. Save your time, money, and sanity and take your business elsewhere.
