Review for Tint World: A Lesson in Frustration…read more I feel compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Tint World, a company that has proven to be both unreliable and untrustworthy. My son generously gifted me a gift certificate worth over $870 to have my Ford Bronco tinted with what he was assured was the best film available. Unfortunately, what should have been a lovely experience turned into a frustrating ordeal that left us feeling cheated and angry. My son, who is quite knowledgeable about cars, made it clear to the manager that the Bronco had a soft top and that I wanted all the windows tinted. However, he was unaware of the issues we had previously encountered with this establishment when he decided to purchase the gift certificate. For context, last year, we had a sound system installed in my husband's truck by Tint World, and after the installation, we experienced a loud bass surge whenever we accelerated. We eventually had to take the truck to another shop for inspection, only to discover that Tint World had incorrectly installed the ground. We've also had several vehicles tinted at Tint World, including my husband's brand new $90k truck. When we got it back, we were horrified to find white, chalky chemical drips all over the leather trim and dash, along with two windows that had bubbles in them. We had to return for repairs just a week later. Fast forward to my attempt to redeem the gift certificate after Christmas. I called to schedule an appointment and was met with a frustrating runaround for four days about whether they could tint the soft top. Ultimately, they concluded that they couldn't, but instead of offering an appropriate solution, they suggested tinting my windshield! Are you kidding me? My son specifically asked if the soft top could be tinted, and Tint World happily took his money under false pretenses. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I was told that I could get a refund, by Jamie, since the service couldn't be performed. However, the story changed multiple times. First, it was a yes, then a no, then my son was called a liar, and shortly after, I was also labeled as such. This company has shown the absolute worst in customer service, failing to take responsibility for their misleading practices. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a business that refuses to own up to its mistakes. They need to do the right thing and refund the gift certificate. I urge anyone considering Tint World for their services to think twice. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I can't in good conscience recommend them to anyone. Save your time, money, and sanity and take your business elsewhere.

We request a refund and had them remove their tint. Their excuses was " We're allowed to have imperfections on our tints". Don't be fooled by there prices, pay extra somewhere else. Also when my daughter was picking her vehicle up the customer in front of her was getting a refund as well. They also left glue on her windows to where her windows are not even rolling down anymore.

I'm a little late at leaving this review as he tinted my windows on July 26 2024 but I wanted to make sure to give him a 5 star for the great job be did on my window tint. I did bug him for nearly a month trying to figure out a good time to get the job done with my busy work schedule. I was finally able to settle on a time to drop it off the night before so he could work on it the following day. When I came in to tell him what I wanted he stated he was coming in early to get started on my truck. I'm a super picky person and I changed my mind a few times before I settled on what I wanted. But of course, later that night, I had one last decision to make a change to what I previously thought I wanted. I messaged Ben that night and he returned my call first thing in the next morning to discuss what I wanted to change. Ben was very accommodating to my wants and needs and that was much appreciated! Ben recommended I do 25% over the rear factory stained glass to get to a close match to the 5% I got on the two front windows. I then had 50% put on the panoramic sunroof, and the front windshield. All tint installed is the LLumar CTX Ceramic tint. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably install a 15% or 5% on the back windows to make them super dark and may be a 25% or 15% on the panoramic sunroof and more like a 40% on the windshield. But in all, it turned out pretty good and matching just like he stated. So if anybody is in need of some good ceramic window tint Contact Ben at ShadowFilms Window Tinting. I highly recommend him and his family owned & LOCAL business and will definitely recommend him for tinting to everyone I know.

Wow. That's it. Wow…read more Here's the rest of the story We have 20 year Wayne Dalton garage doors that came with our house. In years past we've called another garage door company when the "Boom" happened. Not familiar with the "Boom". The "Boom" is when the cable snaps from spring While the "Boom" didn't happen last Saturday night the "boom" did meaning that one spring snapped instead of both cables. I called the company we've been calling and now they don't replace just the spring but have to replace the whole system. Needless to say I didn't know if I was getting a good deal or was i getting ripped off Enter A1. I booked online and explained everything. I received an email and text message about my technician Cody. Not only did it have a clear picture of him but also included a little bit of him and his family. By the way Cody loves to fish and NY Giants. Cody was so polite and up front. I provided the quote from the other and A1 matched the price for the repair but couldn't match the replacement panels of the door. So yeah, this door has some dents and doinks in the panels from the kids. So while I didn't go with A1 for the repair and replacement, their honesty, integrity, and professionalism is worthy of 5-Star. Special shoutout to Cody. My man. I'm not a fisherman but if you want to watch a NY Giants game with me, drinks are on me.

The same nice guy M.O. as most of these negative reviews…read more We had a squeaky and struggling garage door issue. The tech was a pleasant guy and nice enough. He started by reviewing some "garage maintenance and repair theory" before he even looked at the door. (That's sets the buyers expectation of what's to come.) He gave me a "deal" on "inspecting" the second door so I agreed to pay $60 before any work was done. He replaced 8 rollers on the main door but advised that I might want to consider a new spring and a cable. The spring was $1,000 but he offered an instant discount down to $700. A huge red flag. The cable, which is actually a belt, was an additional $200-$300. Plus they charge you for additional random parts. And let's not forget the visit fee. I called a local tech for a further evaluation. He looked at the work that the A1 tech performed and pionted out that he didn't notice, or bother with, all the hinges that support the rollers. They were all loose and one of the main reasons for the noisy door. The local tech also quoted me almost half the price for the same new spring which I didn't need to begin with. He tightened all hinges and lubed both doors and they are now quiet and run smoothly. He charged me $79. We paid $350 for a visit, some parts, and rollers that we didn't need. I'm glad we stopped there. The moral of the story, don't get lured down the rabbit hole by a coupon. Shop, ask questions, and go with your gut. Avoid the big box guys whenever you can. I guess someone needs to pay for those TV ads and that fleet of nice trucks.
