I've never done any form of OT/PT and didn't know what to expect, so imagine my surprise when I came away feeling like I had a FUN and healing time. Every instruction for home care was demonstrated so well with correctional feedback when needed, and all stretches and massages were performed with attention to my pain tolerance. He's extremely knowledgeable, kind and personable - sincerely interested in his patient's health and wellbeing. He gives me exercises to do in between sessions and is never in a rush. I saw him for a separate foot issue and he has been so helpful with that as well! Also, he sees one patient at a time giving each person focused guidance and care, which is a huge difference from other PT operations. He's extremely flexible in scheduling. Heather is terrific with insurance and receipts. I recommend Keith wholeheartedly and am grateful to him for my progress and healing!

The office Manager Mr. K (Kanal) is the best!!! Always addresses you by your name, comes over while doing therapy to greet you and ask you how you are feeling. Mr.K is very helpful, when negating your insurance or any other questions you might have. During my time at Active Care, there was a death in my family. They have quite an arsenal at their fingertips from TENS electrical stimulation as a pain reliever, stretching, intense deep tissue massages, suction, heat, or exercises. Within a few weeks of seeing them, I made an amazing recovery from debilitating back pain. Just a note for those on a tight time deadline....make sure to ask if there will be a wait as the times I picked to come, there is often a long wait. They are understaffed for the quality of service that they provide.

I wasn't going to write more, because Lloyd have asked me if I could take down this review, but I…read moresaid no, because that's doing other people like me a disservice and I want to be clear and honest with my experiences. I said I won't write more as a favour for him, but I mentioned I have a lot more to say on this matter, but due to the character count limits, my review was shorten. But now, I will have to write more because this is to respond to Emily's feedback. First of all, I found the person who could help me at Spears, no one at Spears help me to find the right person for my issue. I have to go with Spears, since it would be hard to go outside of them, if I cannot figure out the material that was used for my splints. The miscommunication that Emily is pointing out, didn't involve me, it was an internal miscommunication due to lack of clarity amongst the staff. Since I flagged it from the start and it was confirmed by the staff they could do what was requested. No one asked the right questions when the call center contacted NoHo - it was more like, yes, I can modify splints and that was it. No one did their due diligence to actually look to figure out if they could help me. I get OT has their preferences in materials, but to want to just charge me for an evaluation that served me no purpose is baffling to me. And for Lexi to tell me if she couldn't help me, I would have to pay AGAIN for another evaluation. Or if they can't fix my splint, they will make me another splint with the materials they have and charge me for another splint. I have 3 pairs of splints and I like my splints, because they are for daily use, not the hard plastic ones that aren't as comfortable as the material that was used on mine. I don't mind paying for actual work, but I am not going to pay for someone to look at my hands to just type in notes, because that is not the purpose of why I am trekking all the way to NoHo and bringing all of my splints. There was no accountability except saying "not our fault!". Or I don't feel comfortable with helping you until you pay and then my comfort level will be good and no longer be worried about my license. Emily called me on 12/16 was to tell me she read my review, but asked me to tell her what happened. Do Lexi and her both like to waste people's time? She read my review, so why am I repeating myself and telling her exactly what I wrote on my review? But the purpose of her calling me besides wasting my time, was for her to tell me she didn't "appreciate my review" and she said, "Lexi was the best!". I don't know what her definition of the "best" mean, because her standards would be severely on the low end of the spectrum. If the below is Lexi's job description for the OT here, then yeah, I would say, she excelled in meeting the below. -Responsibilities include giving up at the first sign of difficulty and avoiding any form of problem solving or growth. -When clients raise concerns, confidently deflect responsibility by reminding them it's not your fault. -Deliver care in the most transactional way possible with no interest in empathy, outcomes, or follow through. -Prioritize billing above all else by nickeling and diming every interaction, service, and minute regardless of value. -Consistently meet expectations by doing just enough to technically qualify as help without actually being helpful. But yes, this is the end of this whole negative fiasco. I, now know not to come to this particular location for my OT needs. Again, want to point out that Spears is all connected, so it doesn't make sense when Lexi told me she can charge me for an evaluation even though I wasn't there for that reason, and once I go to another location to seek someone to help me to fix my splint, they will also charge me for an evaluation. It was never like if I cannot fix your splint, I will find another location that can and YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED BECAUSE I DID NOTHING TO HELP YOU. I want to be crystal clear regarding this place - not one single person helped me here or even remotely tried to help me in any way. Not one. That's the whole problem and this place doesn't understand that and that is the real issue.

I've been to physical therapy before and usually…read morelose steam quickly because I don't see results, but my experience at the NoHo-Broadway Spear has been completely different, thanks to Beth Kines. She's a miracle worker. Beth is attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. From day one, she took the time to explain not just what exercises I was doing, but why they mattered and how they were helping me heal. That made a huge difference. I'm not someone who enjoys exercise, but Beth kept me motivated and on track, always checking in on my progress and adjusting as needed. It felt like she was as invested in my recovery as I was. Sometimes even more. One thing I really appreciate about this Spear location is that even though there are plenty of serious athletes there, there are also lots of people like me, older people, or just people looking for basic recovery and care. No matter who you are, everyone there treats you like your PT matters. The whole vibe of the place is positive and supportive. Oh, and the reception and billing staff are also on top of it and super friendly. At a recent birthday party, a few of us started talking about how much we loved our PT places and it turned out we all are going to different Spear locations across Manhattan and Brooklyn. Spear clearly knows how to hire great people. I ended up at NoHo-Broadway because two coworkers raved about their experiences there, and now I'm the one telling everyone to go. If you're looking for the best physical therapy experience, make the appointment. Don't wait. And if you can get on Beth's schedule, even better. She rocks.

City PT on Baxter St. somehow it got me through it. I have Daniel to thank for bringing me back to mobility after my knee operations (and I continue to make progress.) After avoiding knee surgery for as long as I could, I was very very trepidatious about doing it. Daniel talked me into having a little faith in the process and he really put me back on my feet. Yulim helped me expertly through my shoulder issues after surgery and that was also a great experience. Shaina was wonderful as well, helping me in the long prep for my shoulder repair. City PT was recommended to me by a visiting nurse/PT. How lucky was I that they are just around the corner from my apartment?
