I went here before one of the events - which ... to my dismay was a little bit unorganized at the end. They told everyone attending they would dismiss the audience for signings - well half of the people ran out to line up for signing despite direction . So maybe a little more pre- planning would be helpful so that doesn't happen because sadly I had to leave since people didn't follow instruction. Aside from that - this is an awesome store and they seem to put on events pretty frequently. Love the various displays throughout!

ME: Well I've purchased it here before, not specifically this store, but Wyomissing location. "Oh, well, we clean up our magazines, they don't do their job there." A simple, "Iooks like we don't have it" will suffice. I kinda wanna say (but don't) you have a lot of attitude for a store that has a broke-azz escalator & none of the magazines I want. It's unnecessary to run down another location & the point is wasted, cause if Wyo "not doing their job" means a broader selection of magazines to choose from, guess where I'm heading next time! At the register I'm asked if I want to use my rewards which are greater than the purchase I'm making. I reply sorta rhetorically, sure so long as I won't lose the difference. They have an extensive Pennsylvania section which includes biographies about many of of the small colleges dotting the southeast part of the state, and a large amount of genealogical books as well. I was strapped for time and didn't get a chance to explore the entire store, but the sections I perused left me with a great feeling about the place. The lady who helped me check out was extremely friendly as well. Have already recommended this store to a couple friends and family, and I will personally be making the trip back out as soon as next week. Highly recommend!

The owners of THIS store have been in the book business for a while. Both put in years at a large chain bookstore. They've used that experience to create a store people WANT to shop. They are extremely knowledgeable on many topics, and very friendly. The store, like many used bookstores, is a work in progress. The difference is the people, and the staff are amazing!

If you pull in, you do end up backing onto a busy road so leave with caution. As I said, they have a great selection. There are four rooms of boons, each section is clearly labeled and occasional thematic decor. There are also occasional benches so you can sit and debate which books you want to "adopt". They're used, but gently and each has a price lower then the face value written inside. They also have the largest selection of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys I've ever seen. Its all very impressive.
