Everything about this place was amazing. Our instructor, the drinks, the vibes. My bestie and I had so much fun doing the sip and paint. Even though our piece was on expert mode, our instructor made it easy for us to follow and we had so much fun!

It was my first time here at this studio. Took my mom as a holiday gift. I'm giving it 5 stars because I saw nothing wrong and had fun and my snoopy turned out good 1-the layout of the facility is open. Lots of seats. Had a walk up bar area for 21+ Fun for group to go- all ages 2- Clean- for having so many different kind of classes- it was really clean I thought. Of course the table cloths had dried paint , to be expected. Bathroom, floors, everything was clean 3- instructors were fun 4- music playing

So... My cousin recommended the family check out this paint and sip class after attending a class with Katie previously. 19 of us bought tickets in advance ranging from ages 15-70 (my father-in-law turned 70. He actually spends all of his spare time painting, so this was perfect). Boy did we have fun! My family is a complete handful, so I went ahead and brought the paint instructor a bottle of red wine because she was going to be in for a long night even if she didn't realize it ahead of time. My fiance, daughter and I rolled in a little late (I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL) after coming in from the Stockton Flavor fest (none of us lived local) after we were warned that the event started on time. My family has a lot of questions along with music requests and numerous requests to "turn it up louder." The price was worth way more than the experience we all had. My Dad was in town from GA and he already wants to check out another event before he returns home. Bottles of wine are only $20 and it Shane Doesn't taste cheap. Tip your instructor, don't be over critical of your painting and just enjoy the vibe with fun. We also had fun with the strangers who were on date nights and friends outings. I loved that the music was perfect for our group; but Katie also took into consideration that everyone may not enjoy the early 90s throwbacks. Katie took a few music requests so we also heard some country music mixed in with some Latin tunes

I was introduced to Starry Nite Studios through an event from an animal rescue I am affiliated with. The drag queen bingo event I attended was nothing short of AMAZING! I took my mother, sister, and 2 aunts. Needless to say, everyone had a blast, and the event was for my moms birthday. Not only was that event one to remember for life, they hold shows and events regularly as well as show you how to be your best artistic self. I've done paint and sips before, but the culture offered here is something that cannot be replicated. Not only do they know what they are doing, they know how to have a good time while you do it. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a fun time where they can be themselves.

If you want to have an awesome time painting, drinking, singing and laughing...this is the place to be! I've painted here 4 Times and I am always happy with the result. I'm not artistic in any way but, my paintings are always fantastic when I'm finished! The ladies at STARRY nite studios are great! I usually have Ally as my instructor and she's the BEST! I HIGHLY recommend Starry Night! They have amazing paint classes, kids art clubs, and the best drag show bingo you'll find anywhere around!! Ordered supplies this morning and an hour later they were delivered. Wow couldn't believe it. Also, hubby and I did date night a few weeks ago and picked up everything from the studio and they put it in our car. All the supplies, wine and food. Starry Nite Studion hosted a fundraiser for East Bay Animal Rescue and Refuge (EBARR) along with Kitty 911 today. We had a great time with a lot of laughs. We had several children with us and they were able to keep up and made a great painting as well. We want to thank the owners of Starry Nits Studios for making our fundraiser memorable. My husband and I came here for date night and had a blast! We were a bit nervous at first because it was our first time doing a Paint night, but the owner was so welcoming and she didn't take herself too seriously which made us feel much more relaxed. So much fun! We've come here several times just on a whim and a few times we planned it and brought some snacks and wine every time we have had an amazing experience. Amazing staff, relaxing atmosphere and just an all-around good time. We ended up doing my daughter's 11th birthday party and it was an absolute blast. My son and I absolutely love this place. My son has had numerous interactions with the owners and staff of this establishment, with school, private lessons and even summer camp. The owners and staff were kind enough to offer private lessons for my son to work on an art piece in order to enter it into a competition. Ms Diaz is an amazing person! My son adores her. We have also participated in paint night and we enjoyed it immensely. Such a wonderful, simple, fun family night out, or even a creative date night. We will do more art classes soon. read more

Best 9th birthday party ever! I had 6 girls at my daughter's paint party & it was awesome! We had it outside on the deck, no clean up or set up, except for our own decorations. It was a crowd pleaser for sure, super fun! Highly recommended! Ally is great with kids! It's creative & fun! read more

My soon-to-be mother in law and I recently went to one of our first classes here. We went to a pet portrait one not knowing they recommend a few classes before hand. We didn't expect our pictures to come out as good as they did! Everybody working was attentive and helpful and gave clear instructions that were easy to follow. I attended a private paint party at Starry Nite Studios last night. It was really fun. Brandy was our MC and instructor. ‍ She was very entertaining & patient with us. Canvas, easel, brushes, smock & of course paint palette provided and covered in the $39 fee. We had about 20 of us in attendance. A wide variety of music was played before and during the paint session at appropriate times. Brandy helped any individual that needed additional assistance but for the most part her class instruction was enough to keep us on point. Some of us were thinking it would be great to do a couples party with Pizza & Beer. read more

By far the best sip-n-paint place I've been to. Susan was our teacher and she was so awesome. She was very patient, personable, and an all around joy to talk to. They allowed us to bring snacks, which was a plus, and didn't charge us a corkage fee for our wine. I definitely recommend this place and will be back for couples painting. I went for my moms and I had a lot of fun but the only thing is.. is that many of the paintings didn't look like the one posted online even the instructors painting didn't look anything like the original. Fun experience but probably wouldn't spend my money there again. read more

I am not artistic in any way, so I was a bit reluctant to try........soooooo glad we went, I had a blast and I painted a barn! It was fun, Ally was fantastic, music was great, and nice and cool during that heat wave! Gave me so much confidence I already have plans to return. We are open for in person paint classes as well as VIRUAL and online classes! Brentwoods very first and only "Paint & Sip"art studio centrally located in the Streets of Brentwood shopping center. We offer public events Thursdays-Sundays as well as private events, fundraisers, kids art camps and corporate/team building events! We even do birthday parties! We can come to you for private in-home parties OR you can use our 3,000 square foot studio for your get together! Only $39 per painter!

History

Established in 2016.

Two local stay at home moms launched Starry Nite Studios in 2016 after having a very popular after school art program at a local elementary school. We love teaching artistic expression to all levels (and ages) of painters!

Ally and Susan co-own and operate the business. They are two local stay at home moms with a passion for teaching art to kids and adults!

What is included with the price of the ticket?

You get a 16x20 canvas, all the paint supplies, brushes and apron and 2-2.5 hours of step by step instruction included in your $39 ticket. You can bring your own wine beer and food into our studio too.

Our paint parties are for ages 8 and up but your child can participate in “open studio” which is any time we are open! $20 and they get the canvas and paint to paint what they want without step by step instruction

It's always kept clean and organized…read more There are many options for glazing, and different options of clay that are held at the studio for purchase. I appreciate this place being more of a class setting than those one-time activities for date night or to hang with friends, because ceramics takes awhile to get a good handle on. Plus there is a process of the bisque and glaze fire which cannot be done in a day. My recommendation is to take the 8-week class and show up to every class. At the end of the course, I'm sure you will have a better understanding of pottery.

I am writing this review to provide a warning to others before they sign up for any of her classes. This woman is dotty/senile at best, and downright dishonest at worst. Based on my one interaction with her, I'm not sure how much of her bad behavior is due to a bad moral character or just senility. A friend saw an article in the local paper regarding this woman's painting classes at Hobby Lobby. We called to get more information, and she told us that we could show up for one class (at $25 per person) and she would provide the supplies we needed at no charge, and if we wanted to continue coming to her classes we would then need to bring our own supplies thereafter. We arrived early for class with our $25 and no supplies. She pointed to her half-used tubes of paint and said she didn't have enough to share with us, then took us out into the store area to purchase some paints. Not finding the colors we needed, she returned us to the classroom and said for an extra $5 she could supply us with paints and boards to paint on. She produced several large tubes of new paint. This was odd, because she previously told us she had very little paint to share. So, senile or dishonest? Hard to say, though I am leaning towards dishonest. Also, why is she changing her mind on charging us for supplies, when she told us on the phone she'd provide them at no additional cost? Another thing: Several other students, who came in after us, needed paints as well. The teacher shared hers with them but did not charge them for it. Why were my friend and I charged $5 each but the other students were not charged at all? Another thing: Both with just myself and my friend prior to class, and again with the room full of students during class, when asking what types and colors of paints to buy, she recommended MANY times that we go to Michael's rather than Hobby Lobby, saying that Michael's had much better prices. I found this fairly unethical since it was Hobby Lobby who was providing her the space, free of charge, to conduct her classes. By the way, the class itself was pretty bad. She handed us a piece of paper with a color wheel on it (printed with a printer that was clearly running out of toner, so the colors on the wheel were pretty drab), but didn't explain a word about how to use it. The instructions she gave during class were unclear, and there was very little demonstration (she painted her own painting in her seat with her painting faced towards her). And she criticized, with a very annoyed tone in her voice, the brush strokes one of the students was using on her background. Just to add icing to the cake, I have to mention her business card that she passed out to everyone. It says "Visit the website gallery" and references a website, www.MAEPetPortaits.com. No, I did not make a typo, the URL on her business card says "portaits" instead of "portraits". www.MAEPetPortaits.com does not exist. www.MAEPetPortraits.com takes you to a GoDaddy website saying that this URL is reserved. So, she reserves a website name but doesn't actually create the website, then passes out business cards touting her custom oil painting and pet portrait services, but is unaware that her URL has a typo in it (never mind that the website, if correctly spelled, doesn't lead one to a "gallery" as stated on her business card). So, hmmmm, now I'm back to thinking the woman is just dotty and senile. Whether she's dotty or dishonest, the bottom line is to stay away from her.

Before her very first trial class, I was afraid she would have trouble focusing and following directions. (Let's just say that in dance class she had mostly made faces at herself in the mirror or freestyled it unless I expended 200% of my energy making her practice her routines at home.) She went into her first art class wanting to draw a peacock chasing a cat, with no idea how. After an hour, her teacher had modeled a drawing for her, and she had paid attention beautifully, following his directions carefully. The teachers who work there have, from what I understand, been trained to teach art by building skills in sequential stages, helping students accomplish one skill and one project before moving on to the next. I believe this works well for all types of kids, not only for self-guided, serious kids, but especially for the playful ones, who need direction for their ideas. The staff knows how to be serious, but they are also wonderful at relating to some of my daughter's interests and talking to her in ways that I can't. She takes both pottery and the regular two-hour art lessons. Miss Molly and Miss Anissa are her teachers now, and she truly values their instruction and her time with them. OAM Studios continues to teach my daughter the importance of patience, perseverance, and attention to detail, values not only important to artistic growth but also in life. It takes a village to raise a kid, and OAM Studios has been a valuable part of our village.

With our visit occurring during opening weekend, picking the cherries wasn't too bad. There was plenty of reachable fruit for ya girl who is a whopping 5'5. The darker, sweeter options located at the tip top of the trees were only accessible if you had a fruit picker. No ladders were available or seen. 5/5 stars for the memorable family fun. Our party left with 3 [small] buckets of firm, crisp, semi tart, & juicy cherries. I'd come back in a heartbeat but would recommend patrons to use the restroom prior to the trip out- the porta potties provided were horrendously disgusting.

Attended my first rodeo this past weekend, and the entertainment value was high, well trained bulls…read moreand horses keeping the crowd engaged... along with the humans running the show of course. Parking and event entry was quick and easy (though it cost $20 at Cow Palace). And there were several concession stands available serving typical snacks and treats like hot dogs, nachos, and even frozen beverages. The show started at 7:30pm, and various acts occurred for a little over two hours (before the main attraction). This included award presentations, an opportunity for moms from the crowd to enter the arena and race for a prize wearing only one shoe, corny jokes by the rodeo clown, saddle bronc riding (wild bucking horse trying to throw off the rider... similar to bull riding), horse barrel racing (female riders getting their horses to zoom around 3 barrels in the arena at the highest speed), and tie-down roping (cowboys wielding a lasso on the bull, competing for quickest time). I liked how the announcer explained the rules and animal ethics to the audience as some participants were disqualified during the roping challenge. The bull riding started around 9:45pm, and those spinning, twisting bulls were crazy! This 15-minute highlight of the event, with about 5 different bulls/riders, was followed by a bull jumper/stuntman performing acrobatics, dodging and doing flips in the air while being charged by a bull. The show ultimately ended around 10:15pm, and quickly turned into a country concert, opening up the arena to all, for live music entertainment. I enjoyed the event overall, and felt that Section 19 offered an ideal view of all the different acts. I do recommend coming a little early if sitting in the dress circle though, since it's "first come, first served" stadium seating and was pretty crowded. There's a ton of people who enjoy this sort of thing, so we parked far and walked. As we entered we were greeted at the door and thrown into the chaos. It's an adult circus complete with clowns, rings and lights. The animals do most of the performing. We wakes the whole arena. Saw the horses in the back on the dirt ground, looked at the food options and viewed the merch that was being sold. We found our seats and listened to the dj intro, watched all the events and left. Not my favorite but glad I experienced it once.

This place is strange, not in a good way. Based on their website and any other advertising they do, you can tell they use their customers(not sure if they are aware their photos are the main marketing) as well as the paintings they do to promote and build their business. I don't know how legal this is. The whole business is very questionable and plus they are barely ever open. I would take my business to a different art studio that does it all! What an absolute fun time had by me and all my friends! Painting, singing, good conversation and a little wine! Starry Nite Studios did an amazing job at the event I attended, they were very friendly and helpful! I would not hesitate to attend another one of their fabulous nights! Went here today for the 1:00 with my mom and two of my kids (11 & 6). Ally was our instructor and she was great! Had a really fun time. Super relaxing atmosphere, able to bring food in for the kiddos and was a great time for a Sunday afternoon. They even travel...looking forward to having a baseball fundraiser! read more
