I originally posted this review on June 20, 2025. However, a few days later the reviews I posted for this location and the Valley Village location, were somehow deleted. From what I understand via other business owners, having reviews deleted is a difficult process. So imagine the effort the Director had to make to have it removed. Almost a month later, now there's a response. Please note the tone of the response is very misleading. Please do yourself a favor and read the other negative reviews because my experience is not an isolated event. Beware! ORIGINAL POST: As a mental health professional, I feel compelled to share my experiences to inform and caution both current and prospective parents. Ms. Victoria, the Director, targeted our 5-year-old son's behavior, to the point that we felt it necessary to have him assessed for ADHD. Overtime, it became increasingly clear he was being discriminated against. Ms. Victoria told me our son said he didn't want to participate in Pre-K graduation. I told her we'd respect that. But soon after, our son began expressing, consistently and unprompted, that he wanted to be part of it. When I asked if he could still join, she responded with a list of behavioral conditions he would have to meet before she would "consider" including him. Ms. Victoria also completed the teacher portion of his ADHD assessment, so she was fully aware of the behaviors being evaluated. It felt like she was now weaponizing those behaviors to exclude him. When I later messaged her via the school's platform to ask about the graduation date, she never responded. This was the moment I realized she was the one who did not want him to participate. That week, we made the decision to withdraw our son from the school. We requested a refund for the prepaid month, but Ms. Victoria denied it, based on the 30 day notice requirement and claiming she never received the message as she had been out all week for a family emergency. We later confirmed she had been at the other school location. Furthermore, as Director and owner, maintaining communication and accountability is her responsibility. Her actions throughout this experience reflected a pattern of defensiveness, manipulation (gaslighting, dishonesty, and false narratives), and a refusal to take responsibility. While many families may never encounter this side of the school, if you do, trust your instincts and advocate for your child. I deeply regret not withdrawing our son sooner. No child should be made to feel like a problem. read more

A truly special school. Our family was in Santa Monica at fancy pre-schools that took me years on a waitlist to access. I was distraught leaving them and trying something new in Chatsworth... Miss Victoria welcomed our family with such kindness and candor. She was very clear and open about her philosophies which I appreciated. She is a big believer of meeting children where they are and supporting their own growth path. She encouraged us not to get hung up on milestones or outside in "rules" on development. In her care, our 4yr old and 3yr old FLOURISHED. Our 4yr old had been struggling a bit socially and learning her letters. Within 2 months at Mother Goose, her confidence had sky-rocketed. She was writing her name beautifully and also reading letters on signs unprompted. Best of all, she was excited to see friends from school at the park, running up and collaboratively engaging in new games. Our 3yr old is more of a born student. For her, we worry about not enough challenge. But a couple months in to Mother Goose and it was clear that they were keeping up with her needs. She learned all about continents and famous artists from each continent. She knew the information so well that she was applying it to new situations. For instance, her sister would talk about her ear hurting and out of nowhere my daughter would say, "You know, Van Gogh had a hurt ear." It really was remarkable to see how they grew academically, socially, and emotionally. I had so much ease leaving them at Mother Goose each day knowing they would be genuinely cared for. It may not be the fanciest looking school, but Miss Victoria and her team have hearts of gold. Of the four private preschools our family has had the privilege to be a part of, I would choose Mother Goose. Sadly, we now had to leave the state, so I won't be there to welcome new families who choose this special place. read more

Both of my sons have been going to Mother Goose Academy since they were 2 years old. We started at the Valley Village location. When we moved to Woodland Hills, we loved the staff (who at that time worked at both locations) and their program so much that we decided that we would stomach the commute from Woodland Hills to Chatsworth for our kids to continue their pre-school years with Mother Goose Chatsworth. They have a healthy daily menu, the teachers are so attentive to our kids and so responsive to us, they offer so many options for extracurricular activities (dance, karate, soccer, etc). Ms. Victoria, the owner is knowledgeable and is willing to help at all times. I read a review mentioning that there was a concern due to no land line phone for the school, but that never bothered me because Victoria was always reachable and responsive. I have seen tremendous gains from my kids socially and academically- and my husband and I see all the things they are learning as it is reflected in what they do at home. We cannot be happier with what our children have learned at Mother Goose. read more

I loved MotherGoose Academy at one point. I am giving it a 2 star because of the following reasons: 1. There is NO landline NOR number to reach the school staff at either of the schools, my son attended the Valley Village school. The ONLY number you can call if you have questions or concerns is the owners "cell" phone number!? This should of been a red flag to me from day one. Weird. 2. Boys and Girls have no privacy when they use the restroom, some parents are completely fine with this, I was too until my son turned 4ish and now doesn't feel comfortable going number #2 in front of all his peers. 3. It's just a room, no door whatsoever, 5-6 small toilets, it's also next to a table where the students are in class as the others use the restroom. This cannot be sanitary? Gross! 4. When my son was 2, he was in the 2-3 yr old classroom, which they changed the toddlers diapers inside the classroom, which is fine, but they wouldn't even have the classroom windows open at times. When I would pick him up it smelled terribly in the classroom. 5. My daycare was terminated for reasons that have no logical explanation. 6. According to the owner, Ms. Victoria, as a parent we "cannot" speak to our MOM friends, should you make some, if let's say your kid and their kid express hey! blah blah did this and I got my feelings hurt. This was her reason for terminating my daycare, so odd. She said I violated some California Children Privacy Act? I did look up to see if there was such thing, the only law I could find is if a parent discloses a students data, such as DOB, first and last name etc. on a public platform, which I did not do, at all. 7. The Parent Handbook states a parent will get a 2 WEEKS notice if their services are terminated, Ms. Victoria did none of the above. I had to quit the jobs I had lined up for the next week. She blew up my cell phone, while I was at work. I couldn't answer it till I went on break. I called promptly when I got my break and she accused me of purposely not answering her calls? 8. My services got cancelled a week ago, and I am still waiting for my Enrollment Fee to be reimbursed as is stated in her Parent Contract that according to her I breached by contacting my Mom Friend "and" I did, I will admit, contact a staff member via their Social Media page. I did not see anything wrong with this because a) it was a question about school and b) we, as parents, have no other way to reach any staff member "unless" we call Ms. Victoria's cell phone, which it wasn't urgent to do so. And what I communicated with the staff member via Message or DM I think it's called via IG, I also communicated with Ms. Victoria. All I was asking for was a heads-up on the teacher that left, and confirmation that she truly wasn't his teacher and I brought up my son coming home with poop and if they could please have him use the restroom maybe when it's all boys. Apparently, this must of pissed off the owner, Ms. Victoria? For her to terminate my services. I do ask a lot of questions, if I am concerned about anything I do vocalize it, but I do so very PC (shrug of shoulders). I hear about most changes at MotherGoose from my 3 and now 4-year- old son OR other parents as we drop off or pick up our kids. I think if we would simply get updates from her then there would be no need to ask around to find out what's really going on. Despite the above, the staff from the cooks to the teachers are awesome! And that's why I kept my son at MotherGoose despite the red flags. And I guess, I was just very busy trying to stay afloat that I figured well, he has his friends here, I had made a great group of Mom friends. I loved his teachers. If as a parent, you're okay with the bathroom situation where the students do not have any privacy and it's next to other classrooms running simultaneously at times AND not getting a phone number to contact "any" staff member at the school, then MotherGoose might be a good school for you. And if you don't mind the high turn over of staff, where you as a parent get absolutely no notice of. They do have a great summer camp program that my son loved. The children (students) do arts and crafts and even the 2 year-olds get some academics already implemented in their day. They also offer soccer classes, which my son loved too and dance classes, hip hop and ballet. Possibly, shadow for a day or two, to see how they run their school AND I guess do not make any Mom friends and discuss anything your kid and their kid did while they are at school? I know this review seems odd, and trust me, I am still baffled by her lack of even a 2 week notice of my son's daycare/school termination. And that she even terminated my son's schooling based on heresay (gossip). Very petty. I advocated a lot for her staff and school (Valley Village) a lot! I would bring coffee to the staff, goodies, Xmas gifts and I honestly am not financially there to do so but I spent the last I had at times for them. read more

My twin sons have been going here for more than a year now (since they're were two years old) and this truly is an amazing preschool with teachers who genuinely care about the kids, and staff who are friendly and always helpful. My boys have developed such great social and academic skills, they love all their teachers and they always come home happy! They dance, they sing, they make art, they play with friends, play outdoors in a very spacious and large playground like backyard, they eat freshly cooked food, need I say more? And even during COVID times, they remained as stellar as always. Ensuring health and safety amongst everyone, establishing proper guidelines for school attendance, and doing so with care and kindness. I can feel safe and secure knowing that my boys are in good hands everyday that they go to school. They have two locations in the Valley, so if you live near one of those two locations, be rest assured that your precious one will be well taken care of. Our daughter attended Mother Goose Academy, at the Chatsworth location from 2 years old through kindergarten. The owner (miss Victoria) is an amazing individual, she is very knowledgeable and passionate about children development and education, our daughter loves her so much and all of her teachers, the school is very neat and clean, lots of space both indoors and outdoors activities (soccer, dance). They have in house kitchen and they offers a lot of varied and healthy meals for the kids! all of the teachers and staff there are so kind and very professional, our daughter will miss all of them, they are all excellent and fantastic team working. I was really nervous when it came time to look for schools. My son is my only child! He's my pride and joy! My gift from God !! I have a very picky friend that referred me to this school. She's one of those that doesn't settle and seeks the best. I saw how smart her son was for his age. I was impressed. She suggested this school to me. She said they are excellent care takers. She was right! I make a 30-40 min drive there and back every day. It's so worth it. I wasn't as impressed with local schools in my area. My son has been going to A mother goose for the past 3 years. I'm so pleased with his academic growth. He enjoys being there! Often times I try to pick him up before school is over and he wants to stay longer. I tell him I miss him. He asks me if I can come back later he's having so much fun. So I'll go to the market near by and give him a hour xtra. Victoria , who runs the school is very sweet and easy to communicate with. She always seems to try her best to meet the parents & children's needs. So everyone is pleased. All the teachers are very nice and do a amazing job. My son started here when he just turned 2. Miss Victoria (school director) was very welcoming and even let him visit to ease the transition into a new school. It's affordable, meals are included and cooked on site, and there's a huge outdoor space which I think is important for toddlers. I've shopped around a lot of schools and I can truly say there isn't a director that is more "on it" than Miss Victoria to ensure that the school is a great environment and things are running well. This Preschool is truly a gem in our area. My son Luke attended this school for almost two years before starting kindergarten. He was a very happy little boy during that time. I am still thankful for the safe and caring environment Mother goose staff provided for my child. He continues to have great eating habits, because of all the fresh, daily cooked healthy food they serve the kids. He was well prepared to start kindergarten. Having my daughter at Mother Goose Academy was one of the best decisions I ever made! Prior to that, she was at another Preschool/Daycare which had more regulations than a military camp (no kidding). My daughter was very unhappy and so was I. I was hesitant to move her because I felt it was going to be difficult for her to start all over again. My fears turned out to be completely unfounded. From day one, my daughter absolutely loved the school! Every morning she would run in asking for Miss Victoria. There is so much warmth and care from the staff. The playtime and education is well balanced and my daughter grew leaps and bounds in the last year. One day I heard her saying the months of the year. I did a double take as she is only 3! That is just a testament to the quality of education she received. Her teacher Mrs Benaz, is such a wonderful person, so loving, patient and caring. Miss Victoria is really a wonderful person. Very understanding and actually takes time to listen to a parent's concern. She was so flexible as to allow my son who was in Kinder in a private school, come to Mother Goose during spring break and over the holidays. Even before I brought my daughter over, I got a really good vibe talking to her over the phone and I was not wrong. She is the best. We love Mother Goose academy! My 2.5 year old daughter started in the end of May. I am a SAHM and she was always with me. Because she was always with me she was very shy- even around some family! Since attending, she is no longer shy, kisses/ hugs grandpa and grandma, loves all sorts of different foods, and loves talking about her friends and school. They serve fresh hot meals (made in their kitchen!!) They have amazing activities for the children. When I found Mother Goose I was in a desperate state of mind. My mom had been watching my daughter and had been diagnosed with breast cancer. My daughter was comfortable with the director Ms Victoria right away. We were there for 3 years and I watched my daughter grow in a loving and educational environment. It was such a comfort knowing that I could drop off my daughter and go to work without a worry. Even on the days that my daughter was having a hard morning they would scoop her up, hug her, and hold her until she was ready to start her day. My son Dillon has been attending Mother Goose Academy, North Hollywood, since July 2016, when he was 2.5yrs old, and finding this center was the best thing that could have happened for us. Dillon is extremely high energy, ADHD and ODD symptoms have become more prevalent and they have been outstanding in helping us deal with his symptoms and finding ways to encourage and continue his learning. When Dillon started he was not speaking full sentences well and he still had a hard time communicating what he wanted. Since attending Mother Goose Academy he has learned his alphabet, he knows his colors, shapes, he can count to 50, he can write and read his first and last name and he is already recognizing words when we read. He absolutely loves books because of going here, where they encourage reading all the time. He also loves doing art and their play time, their outdoor play area is great. He has made some life long friends, he knows every child's name and every teacher's name. He is excited to see Ms. Liz and Ms. Suzy everyday and they adore him as well. Its a true family environment. The bad ratings listed here, which are few, I would evaluate that they aren't from people who attended this school for a long period of time. Ms. Victoria, the center director has been nothing but spectacular and professional with me. Being a single mother whose handling the daily tasks of raising my kids, I struggled with normal stresses such as daycare costs, running late from downtown LA, Dillon acting up and not paying attention when he should but both Ms. Victoria and Ms. Liz have been amazing and so helpful. This is my (only) son's first school experience and i am so thankful that i found this school! My son was enrolled part time in feb 2018 at the age of 3 1/2. I had so much anxiety and guilt about sending him to school but after having a couple visits ("playdates") i noticed the director Ms. Victoria was extremely intuitive and was able to really feel my son's personality. She gave me so much upfront info about what to expect and i loved knowing they would comfort my son during this tough transition. His teacher Ms Maria is amazing! We visited this daycare and liked it although Victoria was a bit rough around the edges we decided to move forward as the placed looked clean and pretty inviting and my son seemed to like it. However the week my son was supposed to start she called and abruptly told us that her assistant had left and didn't have room for my son anymore. We had a friend call later that day and was told they had room and availability right away. My son has been going to Mother Goose for 2 years already and he just loves it. He has been to 3 different preschools before and this is the best place to be! He loves his teachers and you can see his excitement every morning. All the teachers are so approachable and you can see that they really care for the kids plus the classrooms are really clean and the food is great too! A Mother Goose Academy preschool has been a wonderful experience for both of my children. My son who is 3 1/2 yrs has been attending for approximately 4 months has grown so much developmentally with the help of the wonderful teachers and guidance of the director Mrs Victoria. The school prepares nutritious meals daily and the entire school grounds are clean and inviting. The curriculum is educational as well as fun. I don't know who the woman is posting a bad review below. I don't know any mom with her name whose kids attend Mother Goose Academy. I've been taking my kids to Victoria for the last 3 years and there's a reason why I'm still there. Victoria and all the other teachers are so caring and nurturing. They take care of my kids like I would. My kids are so excited to be there every single day because they learn, laugh, and play everyday! My kids love Victoria and all their teachers. Victoria is the sweetest and most caring human being who could run a daycare. read more

I am a bit surprised by reading the negative review down below. It sure sounds like someone who has a personal ax to grind with this school. It's the second year that my daughter is going to the Mother Goose Academy. Prior to that, my son went to this schools (different location) for several years. Ms. Maria is a wonderful teacher. How do I know? When I bring my daughter to school in the morning she jumps off from me the second she sees Ms. Maria and runs to her. When I pick her up at night, she doesn't want to leave. It might be possible to lie to parents, but you can't fool kids that are there all day. Kids know if someone is mean to them or doesn't treat them right. read more
