This is a picture of the text message that made me realize she was discriminating against my son and excluding him from the graduation.
    Cristal C.

I originally posted this review on June 20, 2025. However, a few days later the reviews I posted for this location and the Valley Village location, were somehow deleted. From what I understand via other business owners, having reviews deleted is a difficult process. So imagine the effort the Director had to make to have it removed. Almost a month later, now there's a response. Please note the tone of the response is very misleading. Please do yourself a favor and read the other negative reviews because my experience is not an isolated event. Beware! ORIGINAL POST: As a mental health professional, I feel compelled to share my experiences to inform and caution both current and prospective parents. Ms. Victoria, the Director, targeted our 5-year-old son's behavior, to the point that we felt it necessary to have him assessed for ADHD. Overtime, it became increasingly clear he was being discriminated against. Ms. Victoria told me our son said he didn't want to participate in Pre-K graduation. I told her we'd respect that. But soon after, our son began expressing, consistently and unprompted, that he wanted to be part of it. When I asked if he could still join, she responded with a list of behavioral conditions he would have to meet before she would "consider" including him. Ms. Victoria also completed the teacher portion of his ADHD assessment, so she was fully aware of the behaviors being evaluated. It felt like she was now weaponizing those behaviors to exclude him. When I later messaged her via the school's platform to ask about the graduation date, she never responded. This was the moment I realized she was the one who did not want him to participate. That week, we made the decision to withdraw our son from the school. We requested a refund for the prepaid month, but Ms. Victoria denied it, based on the 30 day notice requirement and claiming she never received the message as she had been out all week for a family emergency. We later confirmed she had been at the other school location. Furthermore, as Director and owner, maintaining communication and accountability is her responsibility. Her actions throughout this experience reflected a pattern of defensiveness, manipulation (gaslighting, dishonesty, and false narratives), and a refusal to take responsibility. While many families may never encounter this side of the school, if you do, trust your instincts and advocate for your child. I deeply regret not withdrawing our son sooner. No child should be made to feel like a problem.

We are so thankful for the wonderful experience our son had at A Mother Goose Academy. From the very first day, it was clear that this is a place filled with warmth, care, and genuine love for children. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to create a safe, joyful, and enriching environment. Our son felt truly seen and supported every step of the way -- and as parents, that means the world to us. He came home every day smiling, full of stories, and eager to go back the next morning. It's amazing to see how much he has grown -- socially, emotionally, and intellectually -- during his time here. We couldn't have asked for a better start to his learning journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do. We'll always remember this place with great affection and gratitude. Warm regards, Marina and Maxik

They were friendly, straightforward, and transparent about their infant program. As we entered the infant classroom, what stood out to us most wasn't the teachers--it was the children. They were calm and busy in the way only young children can be. Most importantly, they genuinely looked happy. The teachers were attentive and naturally engaged with the children. They didn't seem like they were simply clocking in for a job. They truly looked like they enjoyed caring for the children. After our tour, the staff encouraged us to visit our final school and come back if we were still interested. Funny enough, after finishing that last tour, we drove right back to Stoney Point Montessori. As a parent, it's incredibly hard to leave your child each day, especially when they're only six months old. Although I have to say, it becomes easier knowing he's in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. The entire staff is warm and caring, and Ms. Swarna has been absolutely amazing. She has never made me feel like my son is just another child in the classroom. Instead, she makes it clear that she genuinely cares about him and his well-being. Every staff member radiates kindness, and I feel incredibly fortunate that we were able to secure a spot in their infant program.

I think he's been there long enough for me to give an honest and thorough review. As a first-time mom without many local mom friends to ask for recommendations, I actually found Stoney Point through Yelp. I toured five or six different daycares, and from the very first visit, I had a feeling this was the one. Here's why: 1. Location: I didn't want a school located on a busy main street or in an area that felt questionable. Stoney Point is tucked away in a quiet location, which immediately gave me peace of mind. 2. Cleanliness: This was a huge priority for me. I wanted a school that felt clean, organized, and well cared for. Stoney Point was the clear winner in this category. 3. Safety & Quality of Care: The student-to-teacher ratio was extremely important to me because I wanted my son to receive the nurturing, attention, and care that toddlers need. Every teacher he's had has been wonderful. They are patient, kind, and genuinely invested in the children. I truly can't thank them enough. 4. Structure & Environment: I paid close attention to the behavior of the children and the overall atmosphere. I wanted a school that reflected the calm, respectful environment we try to create at home rather than one that felt chaotic. Stoney Point was by far the best fit. The classrooms are structured while still allowing kids to have fun, and it shows. 5. Learning, Growth & Activities: My son absolutely loves going to school. He gets excited every morning, has made wonderful friends, and is constantly showing new social, emotional, and academic growth. It's been amazing to watch his confidence and independence blossom. Choosing a daycare is one of the hardest decisions a parent makes, and I'm so grateful we found Stoney Point. Thank you to the incredible directors and teachers for creating such a safe, loving, and enriching environment for our son. We couldn't be happier with our experience. Five stars isn't enough. I'd give them 10 out of 10 without hesitation.

My son who is 4 years old started here at the beginning of the school's summer session in late June 2020. I had wanted him to transition to this school from his previous preschool because Devonshire Preschool had such a strong academic program. When I had visited the year before and saw the work the 4 and 5 year olds were producing it was amazing. They were writing 5 letter words, such as "piece" perfectly and doing math and science. My son wanted to learn more and at his previous school there was just a little too much free play, where it felt like the kids were just being babysat and not stimulated with learning and fun activities. When he started I immediately saw a difference. Even during the summer session there was a fun subject theme each week. During Paleontology week they excavated dinosaurs and dinosaur bones out of sand and ice cubes and learned about fossils. During Pioneer week they churned fresh butter and sifted through dirt to find gold nuggets. During Impressionist Art Week they learned about Piet Mondrian, Robert Kree and Jackson Pollack and made amazing paintings that look just like the artists' paintings. When he came home and showed me the paintings he was so excited and he even taught me about the artists. I only knew about Jackson Pollack. During Health week they learned about the different organs in the body with a fun "Pin the organ" on the kids activity. Hel was loving his teachers, the kids and all the new activities. The academic school year started in late August and by the end of September he could write the alphabet by memory. He soon started to learn to write words and by early December he was reading words. He is now reading full stories, writing four letter words, can count to 100 and write all the numbers up to 100 and is doing math (basic addition and subtraction) which is his favorite subject. During the academic year there are still a lot of fun creative activities the kids do. Last week they built tee pees with sticks outside and did an experiment with eggs and the colors they turn when you put them in different drinks, so you can see how different drinks may effect the color of your teeth. The school is health conscious and doesn't allow the kids to bring snacks with more than 8 grams of sugar to school. And yes with all this the kids still get to play a ton! My son has made some wonderful friends in the 7 months he's been there and we have made friends with a lot of the parents too. We even have been setting up regular playdates at playgrounds with some of them during this COVID pandemic so the kids really get to have fun with each other and be kids during this tough time. The school has been really safe during COVID. There have been no outbreaks. The kids are really good about wearing their masks and honestly my son who usually got a runny nose at least once a month and a fever once every three months when going to day care has not had any since he started at Devonshire Preschool. He is healthier than ever. The ownership just recently changed, but the new owners are keeping everything the same and really seem like a lovely couple that really care about the school, the teachers, the parents and the kids. This school has really been a blessing. We are so thankful our son is lucky enough to go here and just hope that his future schools will live up to it

I toured over 20 schools before making a decision because I wanted to feel completely confident and comfortable with where we would leave our baby. The moment I walked into Oakridge, I fell in love! And somehow with every day that has passed, I have only loved it more. Our experience in the infant room with Ms. Esperanza and Ms. Virginia was truly incredible. They helped me navigate becoming a first-time mom with so much patience, kindness, and reassurance. They loved our son so genuinely and were incredibly attentive to his every need. They partnered with me through his first 18 months -- from introducing solids to every new milestone, transition, and stage along the way. I will forever be grateful for the care they gave him and the confidence they gave me as a mom. When he transitioned to the toddler room with Ms. Genesis and Ms. Jennifer, they somehow made an already wonderful experience even better. They have fostered such a genuine love of learning in our son. He has learned his ABCs, numbers to 20, countless songs, and has brought home the sweetest projects and keepsakes. Most importantly, they have made him excited to go to school every single day. Watching his personality, confidence, curiosity, and love of learning grow has been one of the greatest gifts. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Sonja and Michelle, the beauties behind Oakridge. They are so responsive, present, and genuinely involved in the school and the children. They make every day feel fun and special, and their school events are some of the sweetest and most creative things we have experienced. From the little details to the big celebrations, it is so evident that this is not simply a business to them. This is their passion! The love and pride they have for Oakridge shines through in everything they do, and it creates such a warm and welcoming community for both the children and their families. Oakridge gave me something I never took for granted which was the ability to leave my son each day feeling completely comfortable, knowing he was safe, loved, learning, and genuinely cared for. As an educator, I am incredibly particular about the environments I trust, and Oakridge exceeded every expectation I had. I owe so much to these incredible women who pour so much love, patience, energy, and care into our children every single day.
