I was "diagnosed" with a sciatic problem but with some prescription the pain could be eased. When the time to wrap up came she left and sent the Medical Assistant to inform me that a urine sample of was needed to discard a kidney infection, but I was not able to provide such sample at that moment, so I offered her to give me a recipient so I did not need to wait there all the time. The answer was that I needed to wait for a decision on that. After 20 minutes the Assistant physician came back and told me that my option was accepted. I asked if she had sent the prescription to my pharmacy but the answer was no. She needed to complete the visit once I came back with the sample. One hour later, I was able to produce the sample she asked for and her verdict was that no kidney infection was found in their lab. So I asked why she did not send the prescription before since the sciatic problem, I could have gotten the medication and taken it but in the meantime the my excruciating pain did not ease. To confirm, I asked if she was a Dr because I am not sure about what her title meant. She replied three times with the same question, that I asked to confirm that I had not been cared for by a physician. She got very upset and told me that a report was going to be filled with her physician and left the room.I left after her and asked what was going to happen with the prescription and the answer was that since I am leaving there is no prescription to be filled. The paperwork when you check in is full of repeated questions, even in the same page on one of the forms. That process cost me 20 minutes. The assessment performed for the diagnostic some other 20 minutes plus another 20 waiting for the approval of my plan to do not wait in the office. All that time, since 0930AM till noon and came back home with the same pain and threat to fill up a report just because that person probably realized that something was not done the right way. Won't be there and won't recommend this office.

I was feeling apprehensive as the tech seemed not to take great care in locating the vein in my arm for the contrast. Thank God they gave me a wire with a button that I could push to alert them if something was wrong. I have had MRI's with contrast before and never had any reaction. Soon after the tech inserted the IV, my arm grew heavy and extremely painful, and felt like it was on fire. I pushed the button and was literally crying as the pain became so bad so quickly. I later found out that what happened to me was called IV infiltration, where they mistakenly miss the vein and the fluid leaks into the surrounding tissue, rather than the bloodstream. Thank God they came back into the room and removed the IV, as the contrast agent is caustic and can cause necrosis (tissue death) and some very serious ill effects. I was lucky, but have never felt such medical incompetence in my life. Do yourself a favor, if you value your health and your life, avoid this place at all costs. This place should be shut down.

I ask her if I've done anything to offend her, even though I had just then met her, and she blames it on frustration with administration. She calms down and says, "So you're here for a prostate issue?" I have no idea what she's talking about. "No, I'm here for Erectile Dysfunction. Why does it say 'Prostate'"? She has more frustration with administration. She shakes my hand and more formally introduces herself as a sort of reset. No problem. So then she starts asking the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS I already painstakingly answered on the tablet! "Then why did I take all that time answering all these questions on the tablet in the waiting room?" Excuses for systems that won't talk to each other. BUT WAIT -- THERE'S MORE! If you act before midnight tonight, you get a FREE BONUS PRIZE of one pissed-off Urologist who tries to run through questions about my Old Fella like I'm a roll-your-eyes annoyance and the bane of his existence! The very first thing he starts talking about is medications like Viagra, etc. I remind him of the spreadsheet I gave him of the 22 medications I take, which includes Nitroglycerine, Gabapentin, Amlodipine, etc. He didn't even review the list before he saw me! If he had, he would likely focus on the Gabapentin and possibly one or more of the other medications I take as the root cause, or at least a contributing factor, of my John Thomas acting more like Salvador Dalì. (This next part I need to be discreet for the sake of Yelp and Yelpers alike, and not because I'm embarrassed -- obviously) He started pressuring me to answer a question that only my wife could answer accurately, so I told him I needed to call her. HE CRITICIZED ME FOR NOT KNOWING THE ANSWER MYSELF! He finally relents to letting me make the call, but by that time I was ready to say "See You Next Tuesday" and leave. I told him I was not comfortable with the way I'd been treated since I got there, so he starts stacking my forms in a huff and says "That's fine" and leaves in a second, new and improved huff. Now let's see if he charges me a New Patient Visit (he said he wouldn't). I'm a handicapped senior citizen with lots of medical problems who is trying to get back to Normal, and I'm scared that I can't. I'm really scared, and I'm trying my best to get this problem solved. I should not have been mistreated like this. There was no excuse for any of this. I got a different Urologist reference so I'm going to make an appointment with them today.
