Wow.. Harsh reviews. My friend and I stayed one night in cabin 11 and thought it was amazing. Just what we needed to get away from the grind. We unplugged, no internet or phone service and it was fantastic. We had our own little fire pit, and all the cabins come with mini fridge and microwave. We went walking around and there was no live music on Friday, but the band came out to practice for about and hour all acoustic. Walked to the water and meditated throwing a few rocks. Amazing. There is a train that goes through around 3am, so watch for that and we did have a chipmunk visitor steal a protein bar. Will be back.

Best lodging out on the Colorado river upper sea! Doesn't get any cheaper and they have fiber optic internet.

The fridge has mold and hair and food inside . The microwave is FILTHY with old crusty food. The entire floor is DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY. It looks like it hasn't been mopped or swept in MONTHS. Luckily we brought our own bedding and we used their bedding to cover the floors so we could walk on them. Urine on and around the toilet. Luckily we had our own toilet and I cleaned it well enough for us to use because the two small community bathrooms are DISGUSTING and moldy . Unfortunate we didn't have a choice to stay anywhere else as it was last minute. We left as soon as we could in the morning simply because we wanted to get out of that filthy place. There's a difference between vintage/old/ unique and downright dirty and u kept.

My husband booked the John Denver suite for two nights and for two reasons; it looked like a cool room to spend a few nights in and because it was the ONLY room with a king size bed and PRIVATE bathroom. My husband spoke with the manager ON THE PHONE two weeks before our arrival and before he booked the room on Airbnb. He confirmed the accommodations and paid for the room. When we arrived there was a small empty lobby that wasn't quite clean but not filthy either. A nice young lady greeted us and said she would show us to our room. She took us upstairs through a labyrinth of small, dark, strange hallways. Some doors had room names and some doors were just open with workers walking in and out of them. There was remodeling everywhere. She opened the door to a room and we told her it was not the room we booked. It had a small bed AND NO PRIVATE BATHROOM. The bathroom was SOMEWHERE down one of the halls. I told my husband I could not stay there...it DIDNT FEEL SAFE. The idea of SHOWERING or walking down one of those hallways with workers going in and out all about to use the bathroom was not an option. She proceeded to tell us the John Denver suite was being remodeled. We asked for any other room with a private bath and king bed. They had NONE. We asked for a refund. She said she understood our situation and it would t be a problem. She said she would speak to the manager to get it taken care of. We had to leave so we could find other accommodations. The manager then sent us a message telling us that a a few days before we were scheduled to arrive he EMAILED us to let us know the room was unavailable and he REBOOKED US FOR THE SAME PRICE IN THE OTHER ROOM. We again said not acceptable and asked for a refund. He refused. We explained we were traveling and had not seen the email and that HE COULD HAVE CALLED US...HE HAD OUR PHONE NUMBER and he still refused offering us $75 begrudgingly. We took the issue to Airbnb who gave us a FULL REFUND AND APOLOGIZED for the unfortunate situation. The manager then proceeded to leave us a bad review. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM IN THIS "HOTEL". The only thing scarier than the idea of a shared bathroom in a small dark hallway is dealing with a manager who is completely unscrupulous. VACATIONERS BEWARE!!!!!

Carbdondale is 14 miles away and 20-25 minutes. It is a beautiful drive between the two and was great exploring another mountain town. The Distillery Inn is a breath of fresh air. They offer five rooms. One is downstairs adjacent to the distillery and tasting room. It is handicap accessible. The other four are just up a few sets of stairs and have their own balconies. The room we stayed in Ginger is gorgeous. It is modern and offers a ton of space. The bathroom is large with a closet with safe, large counter with oversized sink, bathroom with sliding door and walk in shower with rain and handheld heads. The bed was very comfortable with high quality sheets. There is a gas fireplace and coffee machine and mini fridge. They do offer a minibar and their own spirits to buy. The room had a couch and desk as well as a patio with two chairs to relax in. On the second floor is an outdoor patio with several tables to sit at. We took advantage of unseasonably warm weather in November to eat meals at. The patio has a beautiful view of Carbondale. They provide daily newspapers and in the hallway for the rooms are additional coffee pods, plates and silverware for eating in your room. The owner Connie was extremely helpful going above and beyond to surprise my wife with flowers. She gave me different options and the vase and flowers were in the room when we checked in. She answered questions we had and helped us troubleshoot a small problem with some of the technology. The tasting room is gorgeous. We didn't spend much time there but enjoued live music from the patio (with fireplace) just outside. They have reserved parking for Inn guests behind the building in the alley. They do have free charging for electric vehicles which is very uncommon. We did buy a few bottles of their Moonlight Espresso and Whiskey and they are both delicious and oh so drinkable. The downtown of Carbondale was quiet but filled with lots of restaurants, shops and mountain hospitality. Looking forward to returning to the Distillery Inn on future visits.

Walking distance to everything, including Main St shops and restaurants, hiking trails and a working farm w/ animals to visit. Five rooms total were perfect for gathering family while each having our own rooms. A rooftop area extended shared areas. Best of all, they distill their own brand of vodka and whisky and serve creative mixed drinks downstairs. You could never find this at a name brand chain hotel. GREAT mattress, a gas fireplace, high end bathroom finishes, stocked mini fridge and in case you need them, snacks for purchase. Bags of ice are steps from each door, along with a little coffee/tea/newspaper area for the floor. No front desk. No office. But the ladies who run the Inn are friendly and efficient, communicating via email and phone. You get a keyed entry code prior to arrival. Small town hospitality without the awkward B&B interactions. We all loved it and will be back again.

Based on that information, we felt comfortable doing so during our stay. By our third day, she began putting up signs and continued to harass us, stating, "This is the last time I will tell you," even though we had already explained that we were acting based on guidance from the front desk. What made this especially uncomfortable was that we felt singled out, and the repeated confrontations came across as targeted and discriminatory, raising serious concerns about possible racial bias. Clear communication between staff and respectful treatment of guests are essential. Unfortunately, this ongoing behavior overshadowed our experience and reflects poorly on the hotel's customer service standards. I hope management addresses both the inconsistency in policy communication and the lack of professionalism shown.
