We arrived around 10am and there was already a bunch of people waiting for orders- so a very good sign is that this shop brings in customers. The menu was huge and up on the wall. I was surprised to see how inexpensive the sandwiches were and was happy to see they also sold a lot of the little Debbie snacks like nutty buddy that I grew up on. They had a nice selection of sodas, chocolate milk and orange juice to choose from and chips, even Rap chips- which I think are their version of Homies, or HomeGirls that were chips in the 90's. (Showing my age). So I ordered the French toast with ham for my daughter and got scrambled eggs, rye toast and sausage. Which also came with home fries. It wasn't too much of a wait although they were receiving a lot of orders on the phone and it was getting more crowded as I stood there waiting. It smelled heavenly in there and I couldn't wait to try my meal. I also got some chocolate milk and little debbies, and tasty kakes for me and my daughter. They also have Grandmas cookies which are the best! We got our food and headed to my sister in laws house to eat- the portions were huge and the boxes were heavy! It smelled so good and my mouth watered as soon as I opened the box.the eggs were golden and tasted so good, everything was cooked to perfection. My daughter also enjoyed her meal! The employees are personable and sweet, they know my order and always deliver exceptional service. The owner is so sweet and truly takes the time to make sure the customer is happy. I'm a few blocks from here and they see me on a (sometimes daily) but at least weekly basis. From the men in the kitchen to the cashiers I have never had a bad experience, and I've never been happier to give a company my money. They care about each individual person and it shows through their service. I manage a restaurant myself and I know what personable customer service looks like, and it's this place. No one mentioned you are not allowed in the store, how can you pick what you want if you can't go inside and look, he blocked the door like we were going to rob the place....I don't know if he did that because it's common practice or because we were people of color. There are four tables in the utilitarian dining room with half glass wall separating it from the kitchen, but most people just stop in for take out. I did likewise. I ordered a Sausage, Egg and Cheese on Kaiser to introduce myself to their abilities. Everyone was friendly, even though a Covid plexiglass panel separately me from the order taker. I watched as my breakfast was prepared on the grill. Two eggs (pancaked), two patties, two slices of American cheese, fresh roll, made for a heavily loaded piece of short order master cheffing. It was a work of culinary art when unwrapped at my desk. The morning sun through the window cast its light directly of it, making it glow, like I was in for a magical experience. And, I was. It was a big bite slicing through the layers of hot ingredients and a follow through explosion of flavors. Just an awesome sandwich. Almost every kitchen makes a sandwich with these elements, but precious few can knock your socks off. I happily ate barefoot. I am putting my socks and shoes back on now after enjoying one of the best of breed morning sammies of the year.

With insane specials, sometimes Lou's is better than the grocery store. Look for Logan on TikTok to find out what's on sale each week. Plenty of spring summer flowers to choose from on the spring and Christmas trees and grave items in the winter their outdoor area is just as fresh as their produce. While not everyone shares Logan's exuberance, everyone is friendly and welcoming. Weekends can be quite crowded but they really work efficiently to get you checked out.
