Been coming here for years. Prices have gone way up for what you get. $30 for 2 sandwiches is ridiculous.

Kingsway Deli is a hole in the wall sandwich joint open for breakfast and lunch on Charleston…read moreStreet, Willingboro, just off Rt. 130 north. It seems to specialize in breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and has limited inventory for anything beyond those basics. There is a small grill in back where the lone proprietress holds down the fort from order taking, cooking, packing and cashiering. Impressed with her ability to handle it all by her lonesome. Although I was there for a bagel, I quickly learned that Kingsway doesn't bake its own breads, but gets supplies from local markets. My Onion Bagel came right out of a plastic sleeve, was mass produced, and had to be toasted to reanimate. I could have any flavor cream cheese, as long as it was plain white. It was a better than average supermarket bagel, but a far cry from what was available at nearby real bagel shops. Yeah. Fair to say I was disappointed, but I still spent my money there, because it was obvious this shoestring operation needed some help. Oh! And they didn't offer coffee with their breakfasts. Had to stop elsewhere for the java, but on Rt. 130 that is not a challenge. Still, how can you grade a place like this higher than 3 Stars, when they lack a staple like Columbian Supremo? 2.5 Stars Perhaps, they shouldn't call themselves a bagel place.

Great food...just not great enough to make up for the repulsive service…read more The Gaetano's on Penny Packer has perfected its food offerings, but the owners really need to take more care in the hiring of employees. In our most recent visit, there were two girls behind the counter, yet neither felt the need to acknowledge us or take our order. After a few minutes of waiting and listening to them argue about what ticket went where and whose food was whose, I asked if we could place our order. The blonde motioned to the brunette (short hair and glasses), but she was too busy texting to care - she couldn't even look up from her phone to acknowledge us. The ordering process was just as painful. We had to repeat each item several times, as the brunette's eyes drifted each time her cell phone dinged. When we ordered Panzerotti bites, she said "I don't know if we have those" and just stared off space with no inclination to follow up to see - the only reason we got an answer was because the grill chef overhead and confirmed that yes, they do carry them. After completing our order, I was immediately concerned that our order would not be accurate. Somehow the pizza and cheesesteaks were finished a good 15 minutes before the Panzerotti bites and waffle fries - I'm still not sure how, considering both of those items are simply thrown in a frier for a few minutes - but that caused our food to sit on the counter and get cold while we waited for the rest of our order. And I was right being concerned about the accuracy, as the cheese pizza somehow turned into a pepperoni pizza and the waffle fries were drenched in the wiz we had ordered on the side. We dealt with the pizza, but asked for a new order or waffle fries with the wiz on the side, which the grill chef took care of. As we paid for our $60 takeout, I mentioned to the brunette that being new and not knowing is ok, but customers do not appreciate being ignored for texting. She immediately became combative and insisted that she did her job perfectly and did not make errors. Unfortunately, errors are all we saw and no matter how good Gaetano's may be, $60 worth of cold takeout and the waste of an hour of our time to get it is just not acceptable. There are plenty of other local businesses that would be happy to have our business. Note: I worked in a local pizza shop in my teen years. I understand the specific job duties and related stresses, and can assure you the volume of orders did not have anything to do with the lacking service.

It's now open under new ownership, called Hartford Market & Italian Deli, with the same menu. Granted I've only been there once since it reopened, but the sandwiches are not the same. It's typical deli / convenience store in the vein of Wawa with an Italian focus (much like, say, Roman Pantry in Penns Grove). The kinda place that's got pickles, bins of rolls, prepared foods, coffee, taskycakes, and random dinner ingredients. Anyway, the sandwiches were great, almost busting apart from so much meat. Definitely worth a try. As for the convenience store half, it might be handy if you just need milk or a box of pasta on your way home. Otherwise I suspect most people will just drive into one of the worst parking lots ever only a mile down the street and run into ShopRite. UPDATE: Christina's has since minimized the store half of the establishment, focusing mostly on sandwich and side take outs. They still have an odd collection of overpriced Italian groceries (and Boost!, yeck), supplies appear to be dwindling. Hey, they had to give it a try... So now that the focus is on the food, I'm bumping their score.
