Italian hoagie. Decent mix of Italian meats on a fresh roll. Not a bad sandwich.
    John L.

I ordered dinner from here to try a sampling of their offering. They have three different locations and I believe a fourth opening soon. I ordered ahead and was helped over the phone by a really nice guy. I ordered a plain pizza, two Italian hoagies and a Camila's chicken sandwich. The pizza had just come out of the oven when I arrived. It had a thicker crust, sweet sauce and an ok cheese. The Italian hoagies came on a decent roll and had your usual meats, no prosciutto sadly. Lastly, the Camila's Chicken sandwich had grinded chicken breast with spinach. Sadly this sandwich had three hard pieces of chicken joints/cartilage mixed in it. It was good other than that. The prices were fair and the service was good. Everything was decent and average. I would repeat if places closer to my house weren't better.

    Poppers

We stopped by Camila's this past Tuesday night for a quick dinner while in the area. I follow them on Facebook so we figured why not. We arrived around 8 pm, all of the chairs were up in the dining room except for one table. We were promptly directed to that table and our server greeted us. She was so sweet! Very nice lady. My only problem is she didn't write anything down, we had to repeat ourselves throughout. Placing the order and for refills. We went with a white pie and a regular pie, also had poppers and fries. The fries were meh. They lacked flavor and no seasoning at all. They were fully cooked either. The jalapeño poppers were your typical frozen ones but good. The plain pizza was good. The cheese to sauce ratio was spot on. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking. The wife and kids enjoyed it. I wanted the white pizza with sliced tomatoes and ricotta. We got the white pizza with diced tomatoes and hardly any ricotta. The pizza was good, not great. Overall it was an okay place to spot but I wouldn't go out of my. Solid 3 stars.

    "Hot Roast Beef Sandwich"

If I could give negative stars I would. I Just ordered a hot roast beef sandwich. 8 bucks for a sandwich I can't even eat because the meat is so disgusting. I don't understand how a place can be ok with delivering something so uneatable. I highly doubt they would eat it themselves. Food is way too expensive now a days to just be thrown away!

Camila's is the most recent discovery at the office, gaming some fame for its amazing dine in special, featuring 2 gourmet slices and a 20oz soda for $5 +Tax, do be advised however there IS a .35 charge to use credit or debit cards on any purchase under $10. Suffice to say i've heard a lot about Camila's over the last few weeks, and now most of the office has gotten to at least try it so this past saturday when a friend of mine said he was going to be swinging by on his lunch hour to pick up a couple slices i tossed him my card and said surprise me. The gourmet slices available on any given day varies so you never know what will be available, knowing this, I rolled the dice and he returned with a Sausage and Chicken parm slice respectably, MTN Dew for the drink, I've heard very good things about about there Steak slices being loaded up with meat, and their buffalo chicken slices being superb. The slices are reheated in the oven in typical pizzeria fashion, and lay on the stiffer side if the spectrum which i know some people will appreciate. Cheese to sauce ratio is excellent, little to no slippage, very little grease or oil while still maintaining a respectable but understated flavor profile. The sauce was nice, think seasoned, not sweet. (I prefer it this way but taste is subjective.) Most importantly Camila's cuts all of their slices into 6ths not 8ths, making for very large slices, which appeals to my appetite. The cubed breaded chicken on the parm was fantastic, a tiny bit of crunch to the breading, the sausage however was a tier below the parm, not bad by any means, but just not as flavorful as i'm used to. Usually i don't go for slices of pizza for lunch, i'm more of a pizza at parties kind of guy, but i couldn't turn down a chance to try it out, and i agree with the office- its quite good. Ome gripe i do have is the fountain drinks, it seem like the syrup mixture is a little on the low side, i've been drinking this stuff so long i can tell immediately if someone's below recommended. Plus, in an odd way this is an homage to one of my favorite yelpers, my very own" two slices and drink review only." I can't imagine how he'd feel about flavor, but I think he'd appreciate the texture behind Camilla's. So yeah, less than $6 for 1/3rd of a specialty pizza + 20oz, that's quite decent, especially since very good pizza around my work is very hard to find, While Camila's doesn't pack the flavor punch i'm a sucker for, they're now the local texture king. Flavor & Presentation 3.5/5 | Service & Speed 3.25/5 | Price & Proportion 4.5/5 Overall 3.75/5

Camilla's has been a favored lunch spot for some time now. They offer a nice selection of lunch specials although I usually opt for the 2 slice soecial. They offer 2 generous slices and a soda for $5 plus tax. The selection is always changing from as well with new choices being added all the time. The staff are friendly and the interior is comfortable and inviting. A good place to unwind midday. There is a generous seating area seperate from the msin counter where you can watch tv while enjoying lunxh. The pizza is nice and crisp as they always throw it in the oven for a reheat. The cheese and quality of toppings is very good as well. They do make a good cheesesteak also. If you happen to work nearby or are passing thru it's worth coming in for a nice lunch or even dinner.

Good pizza, fast delivery and friendly staff. The prices were very reasonable. One of the better pizza places in Bensalem. You can't go wrong

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich - This was the biggest disappointment. The chicken breast was extremely thick and had a grainy texture that made me wonder if it was chicken breast with rib meat. If that's the case, it gives the impression that quality isn't a priority. The breading also fell off with almost every bite, and the sandwich wasn't well proportioned (one oversized tomato slice that wasn't cut evenly). Most importantly, it didn't taste like Nashville hot at all -- more like "Nashville not." Shrimp Po' Boy - Below average. The shrimp had a slightly fishy taste, and the bread didn't resemble proper po' boy bread. The greens were a spring mix, which felt like an odd choice. Traditional shredded lettuce would have worked much better. I've had po' boys in Louisiana, and while I wasn't expecting complete authenticity, I was expecting something closer to the spirit of the dish. This version missed the mark. Smash Burger - Probably the best of the three mains we ordered, but still just average. I've honestly had better smash burgers at chains like Shake Shack. Sides: The fries were great. We ordered the beer cheese sauce, which was fine but not necessary. The onion rings were the standout -- perfectly crispy with a clean bite. The homemade ranch served with them was excellent. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more, but the food didn't deliver enough for me to return.

I understand the owner is a local food veteran so this isn't his first foray in sammich construction. I've seen him working away on the few trips I've made so far. The inside kept the same basic footprint of the subway, but the walls are now decorated with large iconic pictures of our beloved sports teams and a few booths were removed to make room for deli takeout equipment. A large deli meat case now sits smack in the middle where the fixins/sandwich prep area of the Subway used to be and a classic pickle barrel is seated to the side of it. Their front window and menu advertise that they roast their own beef, pork and turkey. Their seeded and non seeded rolls are made by Corropolese. So far I've tried three of their offerings: Hot Roast Pork - slow roasted to perfection with gravy (long hots extra). I had it with sharp provolone. They toast the roll and all in all it was a good sandwich that wasn't too sloppy. Hot Turkey - slow roasted (we roast our own) choice of american, provolone, swiss or cooper sharp cheese. Had it on a seeded roll, not bad, but I was expecting thicker cuts of turkey. To me it just came off like deli meat slow roasted with gravy on top. Old Italian Hoagie - sharp provolone, Genoa salami, capicola, pepperoni, roasted peppers, topped w/ peppered ham. Seeded roll. The roll was fresh, the meats were each double layered and the roasted peppers were a nice touch. I would pay extra (and I hope they push it more or make a new variant) to add the extra sharp provolone. The cheese needs a bit more of a bite/presence to make this sandwich shine. Don't get me wrong it's a decent hoagie, but I need more bite. The peppered ham is a welcome addition and provides some punch. Examining their hoagie menu I see no prosciutto. Maybe it'll come in the future (hint hint) :) .... I'd be a huge fan of a mix of meats that included some along with extra sharp provo. The portions are fair as are the prices. Small for most Hoagies are $7.50 large between $8.75-$9.75. The specialty sandwiches will run you a buck or two more than the large hoagies. They also have "farm to table" fresh salads that I'll be trying as well as wraps. I wish these guys luck in Penndel (unfortunately they have it spelled as Pendell) and hope they grow into a staple sandwich maker in the area. They have a good product and the people working there are very kind and friendly so it's easy to root for them to succeed!

He took over and remade a former Subway, bringing full delicatessen sensibility and local color to a commercial zone that really needed a bright coat of paint. Johnny was on hand to take my order yesterday and introduced himself. I got the short story version of his colorful restaurant history, and I realized that I had eaten in his former place on Brownsville Road a few times and enjoyed it tremendously. My expectations rose accordingly. The large front window sign proclaimed the roast beef, turkey and pork were all roasted on site. Good enough suggestion to order a large Roast Beef Hoagie (w provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, hot pepper hash and sweets) on a handsome sesame seeded long torpedo roll. Wrapped tight in white, and our conversation concluded (after sampling the tortellini salad), I drove home to open it up on the kitchen table. First glance at the stuffed sub and my salivaries exploded. It was visually compelling. First bite confirmed that it all worked together perfectly to tantalize my tastebuds. It was a tremendous chomp and chew. Excellent crustiness, followed by folded layers of pink roast beef, provolone and all the rest. This was a mouth party to beat the band. Texture and flavor combined to have me close my eyes and savor the moment. I managed to eat about a third of it, and rolled up the remainder for later enjoyment and family sharing. Deli Fresh is the real deal for Italian style deli delights. They even have a pickle barrel for those who love cukes soured in brine. Its time is now.

I never watched Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones because every last loser on earth was all about it. The Beatles fucking suck and Bruce Springsteen can go shit in his hat. Pumpkin spice is for pumpkin pie and that's it, no matter what these dizzy suburban women say. So the decision to visit Johnny Longhots today was based entirely on poor reviews. The guy who ordered a sandwich to the hospital and found a cheesesteak to be "greasy" deserves to contract MRSA during his stay. The dope who complained his fries were soggy ordered his shit off Door Dash. He's lucky the driver didn't eat all of his fries. I already know who you vote for. Onto the food - the menu is huge. There are a ton of choices with something for just about everyone. There's even gluten free options for those fucking people. There were four or five sandwiches in the running, but it was the Gritty Cheesesteak that ultimately won out on my first visit. And that's a strange decision for me because the Flyers stink and their fans are even worse. They're the worst organization in hockey. Maybe I just wanted fries on my sandwich. Yea - that's it. So the Gritty is a good amount of beef, fries tossed in Old Bay and topped with white cheddar cheese sauce atop a seeded roll. I added fried onions. The sandwich scores higher than the Flyers. I was a fan of the seeded roll which was super fresh. The cheese sauce was tasty and complemented the fries really well. They were super crispy, well seasoned and plentiful. The beef wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was tender and cooked well. All-in-all a good sandwich. The gals up front were attentive and friendly. They took my order quickly. Hats off to the kitchen for getting my food out promptly among the online orders. The place was pretty clean and had a ton of Philly Sports pics on the wall. The music on the radio was some throwback stuff - thank God it wasn't any of that mumble rap shit most kids play these days. Johnny's has a bunch of lunch specials that look worthwhile and a decent value. Locally owned spot worth giving your business to. The menu is a bit bigger for a Pizza shop because they make several staple Italian pasta dishes and include some optional crustaceans additions. My sons always enjoy their spaghetti with meatball meal. In a pinch during a hectic day it's an easy takeout option and yields leftovers. The meatballs are large and rather tasty! I found their Italian hoagie to be just ok. It contained more ham than anything and although it was a decent portion was bland and OK. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was expensive and had a bland dough. The hot sauce was blazing and overpowered the bleu cheese and chicken. The seafood tomato soup contained two mussels, two small clams and lots of small chunks of seafood. It was a bit thin and watery, but mixed well on top of spaghetti if you don't eat it all. I find their regular cheese pizza to be OK with a tad too much grease. There are better options pizza wise to be found. Overall the staff is nice and it is a place to sit down and eat (options in Penndel for this are limited) so I'd give them a 3.5, but since Yelp only gives whole stars I'll give them a 4/good based on the fact the inside is kept clean.
