Safe haven for parking overnight. Weird parking though. Restroom only available when they are there. They do have a dumpster.

Gave me incorrect information. It was a completely different experience at the Centerville location as the people that work. There were extremely friendly very fast, very efficient and very accurate with the information on what I needed and got me through the process really quickly and painlessly. Absolute definite five star service

I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent interaction at your facility(CENTERVILLE BMV) My…read moreson was in the process of applying for his Temporary Permit, and we encountered a staff member whose conduct I found to be unprofessional and unhelpful. During the identification verification, we presented his USCIS-approved ID. This is currently in use while his Naturalization Certificate is being processed - a situation that often requires a bit more understanding and patience. When a second form of identification was requested, we offered a recent bank statement. Unfortunately, our attempt to have this document printed is (on their printer as she instructed)at the counter was unsuccessful. The staff member, a young lady with curly hair( her ID was flip-back),then informed us that my son would need to retrieve another address-bearing ID from home. While we fully comprehend and respect the need for proper identification, the manner in which this information was conveyed was notably abrupt and dismissive, creating an unnecessarily stressful atmosphere. Further concerns arose when my son attempted to clarify his preference regarding the organ donor question on his application. His initial query was met with an apparent lack of acknowledgment. When I politely reiterated his question, the staff member responded curtly with, "Let me just finish this!" This interaction, delivered without eye contact, felt very dismissive and demonstrated a clear unwillingness to assist with a simple, yet important, clarification. Adding to our disappointment, when I tried to ask a follow-up question concerning the identification requirements, I was interrupted mid-sentence. This repeated pattern of being cut off and disregarded made effective communication extremely difficult. It is particularly disheartening as this is not an isolated incident; we experienced similar rude and interruptive behavior from the same individual during a previous visit in May. The overall lack of courtesy and professional engagement displayed by this staff member was deeply disappointing. We believe that all individuals undertaking official processes deserve to be treated with respect and patience. I hope this detailed feedback will be utilized to review staff conduct and reinforce the importance of professional customer service, ensuring that future applicants have a more positive and respectful experience.

I received my auto plate renewal and needed new tags. You can do it by mail, kiosks around town, or in person. I decided to go in person and get it done now and out of the way. I checked in online and reserved a spot and when I arrived I confirmed on the phone I was here. Took about 20 mins and paid by check as there is an additional fee to pay by card. Pretty easy experience but the inside looks a little run down but serves its purpose. Make sure not to mix up the Ohio BMV License Agency with the title Franklin County Clerk of Courts Auto Title Office South. Both are located in the same plaza.

When I came earlier this week I actually left work to destress and get my mind off things and headed here instead. Yeah I know, I probably sound crazy saying that. However, it did do the trick. Pro tip - Come during non-rush hours. Like between the Hours of 10am-3PM. That will prevent you from having to wait in longer lines. Other than the establishment itself being really outdated, I have no complaints. Their website had a lot of information on it and when I called the main number before arriving, the gentleman that answered the phone was able to easily direct me to this location. The staff members were all amazing (Shout out to Jamie) as they were friendly and timely. As you can imagine they don't always get to work with the most pleasant of people and they were working their butts off while I was there. I got my car registration and a new ID for just under $100 and wasn't there for more than 40 minutes. This is nothing compared to my terrible experiences living in Chicago. In this particular case, the grass was definitely greener.

They refused my birth certificate because it was issued by the hospital, complete with my hands and feet prints, and said they could only accept a state issued certificate. $70 later, I had a new certificate. Now, 3 years later, I again arrive to the DMV with my birth certificate in hand. They accepted it, but I did not have proof of address as they did not ask for it last time! They provided a list of accepted items. One included a W-2 another was a tax return, either federal or state! As luck would have it, I had picked them up earlier at H&R Block. I left to go get them. I had to register again but luckily they still had my completed forms. Another 15 minute wait and I was called back up to the same clerk. She said she could not accept the W-2 as it was a copy. She said they scan the documents and can't scan copies. I said if you submit a scanned copy it is no longer an original. If the W-2 isn't good enough, feel free to chose with of the tax returns. Again she refused, even though they were on the list of accepted documents!!!! She said they were not the original forms. I file electronically, even if I hand wrote the forms, I would not have the originals as they would have been mailed to the irs! Again, I am turned away. I went home and picked up my W-2 and found in my mailbox a postcard from the BMV stating my licence had expired. Turns out a postcard from the BMV was also on their acceptable forms of it list. So off I go for the 3rd time in the day. I got a different agent this time. Took 5 minutes before she asked to verify why I was there today when I told her I wanted to renew my drivers license with the real id, she informed me the form, which had already been accepted twice so far today mind you, was not completed correctly and to redo it! It is now past 3 pm. I arrived the first time at 1. As soon as she saw the BMV postcard she immediately processed everything, accepted payment and took my picture then sent me on my way. I understand my part in this long drawn out day for not having the utility bill most often presented to the DMV, however, all my utilities are paid electronically and they said they needed an ORIGINAL bill not a copy. No matter what you do, you're screwed. I know they take a lot of crap from the public in general, but perhaps if they followed their own rules and accepted the proof of address on their own list the would far less unhappy customers who are getting frustrated and angry! Smiling at your customers would be an added bonus. Never again.

I went to the Hilliard BMV today and was given a number when I arrived. After waiting an hour and a half, the number immediately after mine was called, but mine never was. When I brought this to an employee's attention, I was told that I should have signed in online and that I would now have to start over at the bottom of the list and wait another hour and a half, or however much longer it took. It later became clear that the employee checking people in had done it incorrectly and should have instructed us to sign in online when we first arrived. Another customer was skipped for the exact same reason, yet he was allowed to get back in line without starting his entire wait over. I was not given the same consideration. Customers should not be penalized for an employee's mistake, especially after already waiting 90 minutes. The inconsistent treatment made the situation even more frustrating. Management needs to properly train employees on the check-in process and establish a fair way to correct mistakes when customers are skipped. Wasting someone's time and then expecting them to start over because of an internal error is completely unacceptable.
