Went in to have my vehicle appraised and to test drive an suv, had an appointment. When I got there, the car I was interested in was not there and I was told it was in storage (even though I had an appointment to test drive it). Ended up test driving a similar suv and negotiated with salesman, Matthew Andrade. I was asked for a deposit once we agreed to the terms and when I went to go give the deposit the terms had changed on the deal. Total bait and switch, do not buy here! Sometimes fate works in a funny way. On aStateline rainy Sunday, fourth of July weekend, my boyfriend suggested we go look at cars. Not many dealerships were open so we landed at Stateline in Somerset, MA. The warm reception we received from the time we walked through the door was exceptional. We sat with Tiffany Rezendes who couldn't have been any more accommodating and knowledgeable. I'd consider myself a hard sell but her due diligence and speedy no bullshit approach of running back and forth a half dozen times with the manager, completely won me over. She listened to what I needed and sealed the deal in record time; how refreshing! I would be remiss to not mention Marc Accelon the General Sales Manager as I know he is the wizard that makes it all come together. What a gentleman and an up front no nonsense manager. We felt we were heard during this transaction and our time was never wasted. We've wrapped up our sale! The financing with Ray Teixeira was seamless and pleasant! He took time to explain the process and was more than patient with my questions. Overall outstanding experience that made this transaction exciting and positive! So $360 later I am told that I need a new engine because they can't figure out the problem. If you can't figure out the problem why are you charging me $360 I mean really you didn't figure out anything except you don't have the knowledge to tell me what is wrong with my truck. Make sure you look very closely at what you are buying here. Worst decision I have ever made was buying a Jeep Gladiator from Stateline. I purchased a 2020 Gladiator with 26,xxx miles 3 months ago. This week a bubble in the paint along the bottom of the Jeep caught my eye. I touched the paint bubble and imagine my surprise when an eraser sized piece of what looks like Bondo came off and there was a crack in the Jeep. There should be three body seams along the left side, there is one. It looks like one that may have been covered and then painted and has now cracked. Brought approximately $7,000 dollar in equity on my trade in to buy this truck but after 3 months of owning this I went to trade it at another dealer, it is worth $6,000 less than I financed due to its condition and history. That's $13k gone in 3 months. Anyone want to hear about how it took over two months and threat of court to get the money owed from the payoff back to me? read more

Finance manager thinks he's slick adding warranties and services that doesn't cover my vehicle since it's older and the mileage is at the limit for coverage. My bank caught it and now the contract has to be rewritten saving me 3900 in extra charges. He kept swiping down to sign and wouldn't let me read what i was signing but would contradict what he is saying, "bumper to bumper warranty" when i said oh bumper to bumper 5 minutes later he said no this is just for the engine since it's a base model with no features. Be careful and don't let him rush to sign for you ! My salesman was amazing though, low pressure and not high strung like some salesman. read more

After a mechanic replace another one, he damaged my car door so much. So, I took a picture and showed those damages to a service coordinator his name is Justin. He should damages to their manager. They promised me to fix all.. and then told me , because my car is old, they couldn't order parts for the door... for 5 month I asked them to do do something, but Justin just lied to me, Saying we don't have a rental car and etc, even he made several appointments for me but every time I came there, he lied over and over.. It doesn't mean anything if my car is old, they damaged it, they must fix it. I just have no time to talk to a lower about this service. My husband is dying now... I don't like when people like when stuffs of this service consider their costumes are stupid and they can lie to them ... How quickly things can go south. Wow. Where do I begin? Brought my car in on 1/17 because I had the check engine light on and the codes said it was a cylinder misfire. They said it was the valve cover gasket and the spark plug seals causing an oil to leak. Spent over $700 it have it "fixed". Less than a month later, my change oil comes on 2000+ miles before its due. There's a place right next to my work so I bring it there so I don't have to change my work schedule. They tell me its still leaking oil. I go back to Stateline, and they find yeah, its still leaking oil and tell me is the vacuum pump, another $800 in repairs. So either the wrong thing was fixed the first time, or they didn't know what they were doing. Also get told, the timing belt needs to be replaced. Why that wasn't mentioned at the first visit I don't know. But whatever. So, I get the oil issue fixed, and make an appointment for the timing belt. I mad the appointment Wednesday for Saturday. I drop it off Friday afternoon. I get a call Saturday saying, "Yeah we have to order the part, it won't be in until Tuesday". Why they hell wouldn't you have ordered it Wednesday when I made the appointment knowing exactly what was needed? Or told me when I made the appointment you would need to order it? Tuesday comes and they call me and say "we didn't get all the parts". Well since there was only one part, you didn't get THE part. I call them Wednesday and I am told it will be ready that afternoon. I leave work early to get my car. Get up there, and they say, "we called you, there was a delay it won't be ready until tomorrow". Um, no. Nothing in my call log from you. Nice try. So I left work early for nothing. Finally, picked my car up the next day and supposedly its "fixed", but I have no confidence it is. read more

I wish this would be a positive experience but it is far from it. It started with the test drive of the vehicle where salesman Robert Campellone allowed the vehicle to be tested with a flat tire (15 PSI) which is a safety issue. The vehicle presented power steering concerns during this time and was expressed through email which is all documented. It was brought to the attention by myself to Robert that the tires were worn and needed to be replaced along with an inspection sticker since the vehicle didn't not present one at all. As well as the question of quality of the vehicle, dealership, mechanical issues and dents and scratches, Robert expressed the vehicle would be repaired, detailed and inspected with purchase. Vehicle was purchased 12/28/18. Was back for service 1/05/19 as that was the soonest available appointment I was told I could have. The vehicle was to be repaired with the power steering issue along with an engine tap. I have documentation and recorded videos of stated issues which I as well presented to Shawn Sturdevant the Service Advisor and he as well agreed something was wrong with the vehicle and would be repaired. He suspected the engine noise to be a lifter tap or noise coming from one of the cams. The appointment was to also install the promised tires onto the vehicle, detail, VIN check, inspection and spare key if one was available. I was told by Shawn I would have my vehicle back by Tuesday the 9th. Monday January 7th, 2019 Robert had contacted me and stated 4 brand new tires would be put on the vehicle Tuesday the 8th. This conversation is documented. Tuesday the 8th I was told by Shawn that the techs at Stateline couldn't verify exactly what was causing the issues that are present and he wanted to send it to a GMC dealer to get addressed as he didn't want to return a broken vehicle to me I just purchased and was sold to in that condition. He stated the 4 tires WERE installed and VIN check was performed already. He stated I could also pick up the vehicle and bring it to a GMC dealer of my choice and Stateline would cover all costs to repair as yet again the vehicle was sold to me in such condition. I agreed to allow the vehicle to be brought to Boch of Norwood MA by Stateline as they work on GMC vehicles. Thursday the 10th my vehicle was brought to stated Dealer where then I was contacted by Brian Nadu staring there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and it is normal operating noises. I expressed I was well aware such conditions are not normal and shared that even the Service Advisor at Stateline was aware it needed repair. Brian also expressed the "customers issue complaints" on the paperwork and even those were relayed incorrectly. He ignored such information and had my vehicle brought back to Stateline. I arrived to pick up my vehicle Thursday the 10th and discovered 4 new tires were NOT put on my vehicle only 2, inspection sticker was not obtainable, vehicle was not repaired nor detailed, gas tank was empty and also new scratches were present on my vehicle as well as almost 200 additional miles added on the odometer. I am beyond words for such treatment from a dealership and am considering contacting BBB. I had removed my 5 star review online and corrected it to this horrible experience. Currently waiting to get a reply from the General Manager to properly resolve this. read more

I went in to get an inspection sticker. We talked with Mark about the inspection sticker issue. As of yesterday the machine was giving out February stickers in March which was a statewide problem. I asked if it was fixed yet and he told me he did not do an inspection today, so he did not know if it was fixed. I sat in the waiting room for one hour. I heard someone tell Mark that the door won't open at the suburu dept. He then came out and told me, he cannot do the inspection sticker due to the machine still giving out February stickers. I told him, that according to the ma inspection website, I can have it fixed, so I do not mind having the February sticker. He then told me, the garage door is broke so he can't do it. I said, thank you for making me wait an hour to let me know you can't do it. He gave me my keys and I left. I went to Norwest Auto down the street. He took the car right in, did the inspection and put a March sticker on the car! Needless to say, my time was wasted, I was lied to and their service is awful. When I went in I asked about scheduling an oil change for another date and about car detailing. Neither of them were scheduled or talked about again. I also said that since my last oil change there, my car shakes when I am on the highway switching lanes. He told me he didn't have time to deal with that today. I'll avoid going there for services on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler from now on. read more

3 hours agoNEW They push expensive aftermarket bumper to bumper warranties that they tell you cover everything but actually have many exclusions. One of those exclusions was my weather stripping and hardtop seals on my 2016 wrangler. Water coming into the vehicle is a major problem. I have had the top off once with a blanket for support as to not damage seals. Never shown paperwork for warranty or told about exclusions. Yet they want to charge 900 to replace the seals. I think they could afford to eat the cost after lying to my face telling me there were no exclusions and not giving me a copy of the warranty to look over before or after the sale aside from documents on a flash drive when I dont own a computer to plug it into. read more

I'm old school and us old schoolers know "if your warranty is up don't service at a dealership. They are much more expensive". Myth Buster!!!! Today was my second trip to service my 2017 Pacifica. These guys are competitive and efficient. It couldn't be easier to schedule an appointment and with coupons provided by the dealership it was actually not only competitive but ended up being cheaper than a local independent garage and a national oil service chain. we went here to have a 'service shifter' alert diagnosed and fixed. They charged us $500 to diagnose it and fix a frayed ground wire. Then 1 day later the 'service shifter' light came back on. We went back to them and they proceeded to try and charge us over $900 to replace a shifter bezel and wire harness. Not a hard job. I asked to talk to the manager and they immediately discounted the price to $525. So they knew they were price gouging right off the bat. Very dispicable way to do business and i demanded to not be charged and took our Jeep cherokee out of there. I found the 2 parts from another dealership for $150 and did the repair myself after watching a 5 minute Youtube video. Will never go back there again and will tell anyone who will listen to never go there for anything. read more

Not a very pleasant shopping experience. Before we could open the car door the saleswoman was waiting for us. We know we would like to buy a jeep we did not know the model and every time we test drove we were asked if this was the one you wanted and how soon we wanted to buy. The dealership needs to implement better sales practices to offer a better shopping experience for their potential future customers. Called the service department to have them check out a check engine light on my truck. Scheduled an appointment for a Friday at 2 PM. Brought my truck in, and Justin at the service desk told me it would be $150 just to perform diagnosis. When I mentioned a coupon on their website for free check engine light inspection, he insisted that this diagnostic service was much more in depth and "complicated" than what the coupon covered. Left the truck there and didn't hear back. Finally called the following Tuesday to check on the status of the truck. Spoke to Justin again, who told me that his "foreman" was looking at the truck, but like he mentioned before, the diagnostic work was just so complicated and in-depth he probably wouldn't have any info until the next day. This all obviously sounded like total BS so I decided to swing by the dealership and unsurprising found the truck sitting exactly where I left it 4 days ago. Walked in, called Justin out on his lies, had him bring me my key and will not be doing business with Stateline again. I recommend finding an honest, trustworthy business that doesn't waste your time and your money. read more

Homegirl is writing this review with 15% battery on her tele so you know she's not playin'. Homegirls check engine light came on and what she feared most was not her car shutting down, but the trip to the dealership. Yo girl does not have the patience. Every stressor turns into one of those below surface pimples on homegirls clear complexion. She be puttin' on her foundation lookin' like the Appalachian Trail. NOT GOOD. Homegirl was dreading it so much that she called another dealership, but unfortunately, only the place of purchase is able to honor her cars warranty. Homegirl dropped off her vehicle at Stateline and wet across the street to get a day pass for the gym. Her skinny doesn't come to a hault just because her car does. She did her dips and tricks and then straight waisted time waiting for a call. Surely they couldn't forget these opal eyes! Homegirl had not received that call but decided to check up on her HUV...Homegirl Utility Vehicle. Upon arrival they gave her the diagnosis. Homegirl was just a little irked that she never got a call although her HUV had already been checked. She got the news that her car would be in the shop for 3-5 days, and be given a rental. Well long story shorter, it took two weeks, and they ran out of their own rentals! Stateline said they could drive her to enterprise in Fall River since they ran out....yo girl had to unpack her car of strollers and car seats, pack them into Stateliness vehicle that then drove her to Fall River. And then unpack it into an enterprise rental! Homegirl literally wasted an entire day because of Stateline. Oh, and enterprise ran out of cars...and Homegirl was given a pick up truck! First off, yo girl is a taken woman and she don't have no "pickin' up" to do. It was a real fun 2 weeks packing everything including her two month old into a very tight cab. Homegirl called frequently to check on her car. She was extremely frustrated with the over the phone service. She was hung up on, forwarded to sales employees' voicemails, left messages and never received a call back. She also has the screen shots for proof! One day it took her 8 calls before she could get in touch with someone. Homegirl ain't Ocho Cinco. The number 8 means nothing to her. You give the run around to and ex, not a customer as cute as HG! Even if you the hunchback of Notre Dame you should not be treated as such. And the wait time! 3-5 days turned into a week. A week turned into 3 more days. Then they say it will be tomorrow! Then, it's going to be 3 more days. Listen, Homegirl doesn't care why it's taking more than double the estimated time, she's loadin' diaper boxes and groceries into a small truck cab that already has a slew of bulky baby gear to finagle. 3-5 days Homegirl behind. Stateline should be sellin handbags in Time Square, cuz they straight phony! They even wanted Homegirl to drive back to return her enterprise rental in exchange for one of Statelines'. Why? Because they cheeper than a half off sale at the dollar store. Homegirl surely did not have the time or patience to make Statelines life easier. Once Homegirls warranty has elapsed, she will not return to Stateline. She also will not chose to buy a vehicle from them if it means she has to continually deal with them. Don't go here. I hate to write this because most of the sales guys are great but the owners son is the manager and he is rude and makes the whole atmosphere uncomfortable. If you step one foot on the lot he will freak out until you are harassed by multiple salesmen. They will do everything they can to get you to buy a car that day including giving it to you at "cost" The invoice they show you to prove that is not accurate or truthful. The manufacturer inflates the invoice by thousands of dollars for that purpose then give the dealership a big check at the end of the month for every vehicle they sell.
