I decided to try this place out as I have passed it quite a few times on the way to Southern Spirits. The place is easy to find and has ample parking. the beer/wine side is large and well stocked, with a very good selection of craft beer at a very competitive price. I picked up a 4 pack of Backwoods Bastard, and a sixer of Westbrook IPA. There is also a bar with several taps and available growler fills. While I was there I had a pint of Founders Porter to drink while I shopped. The only drawback is the one beer per hour limit. The Liquor side is equally as impressive, with a large selection of all of your favorite spirits. I purchase some Makers Mark for myself, and some Parrot Bay Rum for my wife. The staff is courteous and helpful, making this trip an overall success and good experience. I will definitely find my way back here. read more

I didn't realize I had no review here! I came on allocated day by accident! I was out Thrifting and wanted to swing by. I saw a small line and decided to wait. Once inside I bought a bottle and secured it in my car. Then I bypassed the line and grabbed a cart. I perused the aisles and picked up a variety of things I wanted. While looking, I did hear the staff talking about the customers and to the customers. They were telling customers not to try and get more than 1 allocated bottle. "Never assume mics are off" so be careful! I know some may not care, but think about how your other customers in the store may feel hearing you talk about customers you're frustrated with. One thing that pushes my buttons are dirty and sticky bottles! I know some are sold super quickly, but have someone wipe your dusty bottles off! It makes for a more pleasant shopping experience. It comes across that you don't like to clean your store. Those two things made me stars off, but I put one back on because I was happy with my selection I left with. Staff here is super friendly they have even more variety than the other Stateline liquor store. This store is brand new and even bigger than the other one but it's super clean large and staff is just as nice and friendly. Whatever they don't have they will get for you. read more

After driving by this locations dozens of times, I finally popped in. The right side is for wine and beer. The left side is for liquor. They have a great assortment of products and variations of sizes. I find that their prices are very competitive. Speaking of pricing, one of the things that I like most about this place is that their products are all properly labeled with pricing. I come to Stateline elite a lot to do liquor demonstrations for customers. My experience is always pleasant Alan or Brenda, always takes care of me and help me to get set up and find a liquor that I will be giving out for the day although, sometimes they don't recognize me because I change my hair often! It's always pretty good sales here and a good abundance of the alcohol that anyone may be shopping for. Stateline is the place to go for all things alcohol. They have one side designated for hard liquor and the other side for beer and wine. I love that they are always giving out samples of something you've never heard of so you get to possibly find a new favorite without having to buy it to try it. Make sure you bring cash! Cash prices are cheaper than paying by debit or credit. Stateline is also cheaper than going to an ABC store in NC. It's a huge store with a massive selection of products. Everything is very organized and it's easy to find what you need. There's almost always a line to check out but it moves quickly. Yes it's in South Carolina but like the name says, it's right on the State line and is a short drive from Charlotte. The prices and selection are well worth the drive. My sister in law went to the car to get it, then he proceeded to check out two guys behind us and told them they didn't need to show ID. I called around to get prices on a specific cordial for my out-of-town Mother and Stateline had the best cash price, hands down! I'd say best prices on liquor in general. This beer, wine and liquor store is...wait for it......across the state line. It is most definitely cheaper than North Carolina liquor stores and sometimes cheaper than my slightly more favorite liquor store across the state line, Southern Spirits. Stateline has two sides, one is liquor and the other is beer and wine. They have a pretty good variety, at least on the liquor side. What they lack in my opinion is a more robust selection of rum. If you need a grab bag of a wide variety of mini bottles, this is your spot. They also have chilled various sizes of Fireball. On the beer and wine side they had taps so that you could try beer. I think the cost might've been 50 cents a try. read more

Not super friendly. They just don't seem to be happy people. That's ok. They are also not very knowledgeable about wine if you need a recommendation. When that happens They usually refer you to any of their wine vendors who may happen to be in the store at the time by chance. But The wine vendors are super rude. One time one of them just stood in front of me between me and the wine shelves as I was shopping and trying to decide between bottles. I had to step back. It was aggressive and rather scary. I was excited to see this building go up and finally open. Not even half a mile from Southern Spirits competition can be good for everyone. Located across from Bojangels, and the small shopping center on the right going towards Indian Land, the turn into Stateline can be tricky, as there is a left turning lane right before the left turning lane you want, and can cause you to do "not so safe" driving things. Stateline has all automatic doors, which I like but they are meant to lead you in a circle around the store for traffic. (Can you tell my sense of direction is not the best?) So if you're trying to go out the door you came in there will be no success. All of the employees there are very friendly and more than willing to help with suggestions. They also have quite a selection of mini bottles to try. More often than not I will just go an wander. See what strikes my fancy. This includes also going over to the beer side and checking out any new ciders. They have a bar on the beer side with many local brews on tap. However, I have yet to see a cider. Maybe I'm looking right past them, but maybe not. They seemed to be priced reasonably. My husband and I are sure to sit down and hang out if they ever have a cider or Red Oak. read more

This store is the sister store for the original Stateline Beverages south of Pineville. The new store is large, with one side devoted to liquor/spirits and the other side devoted to beer & wine. The beer/wine side of the store has a nice selection of imports, craft beers, and wines. They also have a bar with several beers on draft. So far on my visits, I have found exactly what I was looking for, and the employees were friendly and helpful. Nice selection for the most part - but their prices have risen over competitors in the last year. They started out being high volume and thus, were always lower on wine and spirits. In the last year, however, other places nearby ends up being priced better. Advice - do you research on pricing. Just bought a bottle in their store - paid $60 as it was new. My fault for not checking online before buying as you can get the same bottle for 38.99 on flavor and $46 on Caskers - which is usually high (Yellowstone).. Great store for liquor and normal wine. Their finer wines need to be taken care of better. Usually get my finer wines at Total Wine and More but I figured I would give this place a shot. Wines out in open not cooled and being handled constantly. Tried a 2017 Cakebread and was very acidic even after being opened and decanted for 1 hour. I have had this wine dozens of times and has never failed. They way they keep their fine wines is not proper. I will shop here for liquor and every day wines but not for their finer wines. read more

Wow... what a great physical plant and inventory. However, the customer service is terrible. I purchase a bottle a week of a single batch bourbon. I bounce between Stateline and Southern, so this is a rating based on more than a couple dozen visits. I have purchased their special pick Woodford Reserve the last time they had participated. I called a few weeks back and was told they would have a new one in Jan. 2020. On Saturday I was in Southern, they had already gotten in their barrel pick. I decided to go in and check to see if Stateline had gotten the one they purchased. I inquired at the checkout area, and was told very rudely to go to the specialty counter. She actually yelled across the store to a woman there. This older woman then proceeded to give me the third degree of where I heard they had this product, that someone was telling lies, and that this shit better stop. I was flabbergasted that someone was cussing at me for wanting to buy their expensive product. She then told me that they did not participate in this event this time and that all they would have was the one from the prior year. I explained that it was not palatable in my opinion, and I was told from someone at this location that there was a new one on order. She again flipped out about people spreading rumors. What a mean and rude old BAT. I will never step foot in this building again. read more

Up until today, I have had pleasant experiences with Gina, Roberta & the rest of the staff at Stateline in Indianland, SC. Today, however, was egregious to the point that I WILL NOT be returning. I was in the process of purchasing 2 bottles (one of which was Himiki 12 year). Upon checking out, the price in the system was approximately $25 more than the stickered price on the shelf. I was VERY SURPRISED to learn that even after admitting it was their oversight, I would need to pay the increased amount. I am in the service industry. If I make a pricing mistake, I honor it. I learn from my mistake and correct the issue for future transactions. It seems that Stateline sees it differently. It is very short-sighted to let a $25 pricing error cost you a customer (as well as increased negative word of mouth). I will be taking my business elsewhere and HEAVILY ENCOURAGE anyone reading this review to do the same. read more

I have purchased my last 8 or so kegs from Total Wine off of Providence Rd and thought I would try Stateline Elite since I had to order what I wanted anyway. Much to my chagrin, my experience was not the best. I ordered my keg 2 weeks earlier than I needed it and was told I would get a call in 2 days to confirm because the Sam Adams rep would be in the store. After 4 days, I stopped in and the same person who put my order in the book, had no clue. She called the rep and said that he didn't see it in the book, but could have it in the store by Tuesday and would call me when it was available...OK, that was still 9 days before NYE, so that worked for me. That Wednesday, still no word, so I stopped in yet again. Nothing in the back cooler for me so the same lady called the rep again and this time said, we don't have any of that. It's been out of stock for a coupe of weeks...WTF! She tried selling me a similar style beer that was twice the price. Uh, no thanks! I think they are fine for everyday beer, wine, liquor, etc but if you are ordering a keg, I'd go to Total Wine. read more
