I can only speak from a man point of view that desperately needed a haircut today. From looking at the reviews that definitely appeared to be a chicks place. But why not see if they can do a dude cut this morning. The salon is located in the Winn Dixie shopping center. There will be more than adequate parking. In front of the store I found no debris on the sidewalk and an attractive sign advertising their highlight special. I called them up to get an appointment when they opened at 9 AM. I asked if they cut men's hair and if they could do now. Without being put on hold the woman yelled across the room, can you do a man's haircut... pretty classic. The woman said that if I come in an hour there is someone who could do it. So upon returning in an hour I checked in and waited for a short bit in their comfy waiting area. I found the front area to be clean. The product area is underwhelming. They have Kendar products which I am not familiar with, but that means little. The place is decent size for a salon. I counted eight chairs and six women working. Everything about the place was clean, so great start. The woman who cut my hair was friendly and talkative which I like. She did a cut and wash for $18 which is a good price in my book. I was happy with the service and will return in next few days to throw them another curve... a kids cut. read more

I needed a new hairchopping venue, and I found Statik through a bit of good old fashioned internet searching. The salon's owner Jennifer answered all of my e-mails promptly and cheerfully, so I checked the joint out for the first time last year. A shampoo and cut with her set me back $20, and for the amount of care that went into the snipping (the whole shebang lasted nearly an hour), I was impressed. A true steal. I went back for a haircut again recently, and this time, it ended up being a dry haircut with Amber. Maybe you have to specifically state that you want a shampoo? Anyway, it was $18. A trim was all I needed, and I certainly left with what I wanted in about 20 minutes. Amber was also very nice. Statik isn't the most frou frou hair salon in the Auburn/Opelika area (women's cuts are definitely getting more and more $$$$$ here) but if you're after a fab deal from friendly stylists, check these ladies out. They accept walk-ins and appointments. You can also visit their Facebook page for updates and info (StatikAuburn). And this shopping center has to be the most random one in Auburn. Got my hair cut here and it was not what I asked for at all. Hannah McDonald was not great I would not reccomend her at all, she chopped of way more thne I asked and did not do a good job in the slightest. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO TRY BEING BALD!!!! read more

Wendi is the best! I got balayage in December that had grown out and wanted to touch it up. She was able to cut, bleach, and tone my hair in just 2 hours. It's hard to bleach dark hair, but my hair feels extremely healthy too. Love this place and I'll definitely be back! read more

Went to Hannah Sharp at Statik, asked for a balayage, touch up on roots and layers. She proceeded to use a delightner on my hair rather than bleach highlights without discussing with me. After she did her work on me i looked exactly the same as i did when i came in, and she told me that i would have to come back again a few times for the delightner to work on my hair. So, my one visit for $150 to look the EXACT same, turned into me having to go in again and pay ANOTHER $150. I've had balayage, coloring and cut done in one visit before. She's dishonest and ripped me off big time. Below are the photos i showed her of what i wanted and my before and after pictures. Also my mom had to go back and fix the simple haircut she decided to give me as the front pieces were longer than the back...never going back and you shouldn't go either. read more

I was referred to this salon from a friend. The usual salon I go to was a bit pricy and I was low on money and had to get something done fast. I wanted a fringe and some layers added as well. I called and asked if I could go in that same day and they were able to help me in 25 minutes! :) I asked for Kim she was very friendly and consulted with me regarding what I wanted. I initially wanted some silver in my hair and she was very honest. It was going to be a long process and hard to maintain and eventually damage my hair extensively. So I decided to just do a simple cut and she was able to cut it exactly how so wanted it! So many people have given me compliments, I love it! I will definitely come back again! It was $27 dollars for my haircut and so definitely left a tip. The place is very clean and everyone there is so welcoming. DEFINITELY recommend! read more

Showed the girl who cut my hair a picture and even said to leave it longer than the guy's hair in the picture. She proceeds to cut 4 inches off my hair without even asking if it was too short. Haircut turned out too short and uneven. Hair stylist seemed in a rush and clearly lacked skill and experience. Half a year's worth of hair growth wasted. Someone clearly doesn't understand what the word "long" means and should read their elementary school vocab book again. Will not be returning. read more

Not the worst cut I've had, that came from Great Clips, but this was a close second. Once she finished the first attempt, I asked if she could try again but the damage had been done. My first visit in this hair salon with Ryan. Ryan has been taking care of my hair since he was working in another location. He is one of the best hair stylists I had, he always listens and gives fabulous advise, my hair has never looked better! The hair salon is very roomy, quiet and clean, it looks very well-organized and professional. Also, there is plenty of parking space. I came here with my 3 year old son and he was happy hanging out in one of the sofas. I love this place, if you are looking for a new hair salon I would definitely give Statik salon a try. read more

I desperately needed a haircut today. I was so unhappy with my haircut. My previous hair stylist just did a trim on the last haircut when I asked for a long bob. Leaving disappointed, I just threw it up in a pony tail for the time being. I've been on a hunt for a new hair stylist and I have finally found her! KIMMI KIM! I called and I was able to make an appointment the same day. I was so nervous I was sweating during the haircut! Idk if she noticed lol. My hair is very thick and difficult to cut if you don't know what you are doing. BUT...She cut my hair exactly how I wanted! Gave me a long bob with long layers. It was $27 and I tipped her. The salon was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. As soon as I came in, she was ready for me. I hate coming to an appointment and having to wait. I'm absolutely in love with it!
