He quickly diagnosed and addressed multiple issues with my older Lennox system within minutes and had it up and running in no time. He clearly explained why it wasn't working for both issues in a very understandable and pleasant way. He also charged an extremely fair fee for his efforts which was well under what I expected. If you are the kind of home owner who does not ask any questions before you commit to spend tens of thousands, prefer to be told what you need, and just sign the dotted line to write the checks, you'd be at a happy place with them. In my experience, George does not like to be asked questions and explain anything if you'd like to understand. Home owner is too stupid and beneath him to engage. I should not have wasted my time and send his way out when the first thing he said when he arrived was that he does not need money. I am guessing he is crawling in attics and basements because it is his hobby. Not getting follow ups to my request to make an appointment was the first sign but he then replied and showed up right away. After he left, he messaged me that he cannot meet my needs and had the arrogance to suggest me to choose another provider. So did I. He was #5 in my list anyhow. read more

My wife & i purchased a unit with stay cool heating & cooling on the 6th of December 2019 and till this day this unit continues to be a problem and stress for our family. In the days/weeks after we purchased the unit, The supposedly new unit had numerous problems and stay cool heating & cooling technicians came to our home try to resolve the problems. We received our first Georgia Power bill after installation of the unit and our bill had jumped from average $124/m to $503 in the month of January 2020. We immediately called Georgia Power to inquire about the outrageous bill and the call rep asked us what happened in our home on the 6th of December 2019 as our energy consumption went up by over 300%. Georgia Power sent their technicians to our home and they identify the problem was from the new unit stating the wiring was improperly installed and that it uses the emergency heat at the same time which is the reason for the high bill. We informed stay cool heating & cooling and they sent their technicians who tried to address the problems but nothing changed and we continued to receive outrageous Georgia Power bill the subsequent month as well. The manager of stay cool heating & cooling after numerous attempts told us they could not fix the problem and even urged us to try a third party. We have been notifying stay cool heating & cooling of our frustrations with this unit and desire to take up the warranty so they can return the faulty unit which is turned off and they continue to ignore the pains our family is going through with the extreme temperature and having a new born baby as the unit does not work in the winter & summer. The Finance Company (Syncrony Bank) is also aware of the problems we have been going through with the unit and also complained that they have reached out to Stay Cool Heating & Cooling and haven't received any response from them on this inquiry and are also of the opinion that it should not be this difficult to process a return for a product of over $4,500 that has warranty for months and it shows incompetence. Stay Cool Heating & Cooling is a company that does not care about its customers once the purchase is made in the way they conduct their business. They have and continue to cause our entire family emotional stress and hardship. Aire Serv, also known as Stay Cool Heating & Cooling, IS A SCAM! I WOULD NOT recommend Stay Cool Heating & Cooling LLC. I am a homeowner (sharing a home with my husband and infant) who trusted Stay Cool Heating & Cooling to install a heating unit on December 6, 2019. I have tried to resolve my dispute with Stay Cool Heating & Cooling since January 2020. I stopped using the system altogether in March to avoid high energy bills and further damage to my home. PLEASE COME GET YOUR UNIT! I've asked back in March 2020 for you all to remove the unit & I'm STILL waiting for Anthony Thompson to call me. No one wants to assume accountability for the damages inflicted upon the many families Stay Cool Heating & Cooling has made to suffer. Here's a brief list of my experience with Stay Cool Heating & Cooling: The wiring for the outdoor unit was improperly installed which led to an outstanding GA Power bill. We have received GA Power bills up to $503 for a 1,060 square foot home. GA Power completed an audit at our home and named the heating unit as the main source of the increase in energy. After several weeks of constant contact trying to speak to the manager, Anthony Thompson, he finally came to inspect the unit. Anthony admitted fault and promised to transfer money to cover the $503 the next day. It took multiple phone calls to remind Anthony to transfer the money. The inspection occurred on 2/13/2020 & the transfer was made on 2/21/2020. We are thankful Anthony would cover the one bill, however, we continued to receive elevated energy bills compared to last year with an older unit. Stay Cool Heating & Cooling's customer service is abysmal. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach the manager by phone and/or email. It takes weeks for a response to an email (after following up multiple times a week). I traveled to their office address listed online/marketing material on 2/10/2020 in hopes to physically speak to a supervisor. When I arrived, no one was present onsite. The office is used for training purposes ONLY. There is not a conglomerate to carry out the daily functions of an office. I am only aware of Angie (the receptionist), Anthony (the manager), and a few technicians on hand. There is not an Human Resource Department, Customer Care Department, Accounting Department, or any other business departments vital to a company present. You would not find out this tidbit of information unless you encounter an issue you need resolved and Stay Cool Heating & Cooling prolongs the process to PROPERLY/ PROFESSIONALLY handle the dispute. The last email I sent to the manager, Anthony Thompson, in March 2020 detailed 5 reasons I want to discontinue my service with Stay Cool Heating & Cooling and to remove their unit from my home. Anthony responded, this time on the same day, for me to address the finance company for assistance and to call another licensed company to inspect the unit. I contacted the finance company, filed a dispute twice (which takes 30 days to resolve; so now I waited 60 days for a response), & the finance company cannot legally remove the unit from my home. It is Stay Cool Heating & Cooling responsibility. I cannot receive a refund for any transactions until Stay Cool has removed the unit from my home & provides proof of the returned unit. I have called the company several times to speak to another manager/supervisor. Still waiting for Anthony to return my call months later. If I could give Stay Cool Heating & Cooling anything less than 1 star, that would be my choice. read more

We knew the day had come that we needed a new air conditioner replacement. I called Stay Cool because they were a local company and reading the reviews, I was impressed. The owner, George Touloumis Jr. returned my call within minutes and came over to give me an estimate. While in my home, he took photos of my existing system in my attic, including showing me the mess my existing vents were in. While lowering the hall ladder that leads into my attic, he was careful to protect my newly finished hardwood floors. He explained in detail what he would do and how quickly he would start the project and when it would be done. I felt confident in George from the start. As George and his assistant Evan were working, my home was always kept neat. When they were done, not a speck of dust or dirt was left behind. When George left my home, he said he would return when it was hot enough for the air conditioner to be running, to check the unit making sure all was working as it should. With the temperatures expected to rise later in the week, I'm sure George will stop by to check everything. It's a pleasure to see someone have pride in their work. BUYER BEWARE! BUYERS REMORSE! I hired George and Stay Cool Heating & Cooling as I was looking for an honest & reliable contractor who I could count on for years to come. After installing my replacement HVAC equipment last summer, he and his team were nowhere to be found. George had promised to assist me in claiming my state-funded rebates and even insisted that he'd take care of it due to the amount of paperwork they ask to submit. Upon the months following my install, I could not get a call back from George or his team via his direct cell phone or calling the main number to the office trying to follow up on the rebates. Voicemails and messages were left unanswered. Only 5 months after the installation did George return my call and offered to send me a check for the unfiled claims with the state (you have 180 days to file from install). Still nothing was sent to me. One year later, I spoke with George again after leaving a very frustrated voicemail and he repeated the same, that he would send me a check. Two months after this phone call, still nothing was received. I see a lot of positive reviews here so I'm not sure if you all have received your rebates with George's help and this is just some form of discrimination against me. This is an easily resolvable situation but has ended up with much frustration. I would not recommend George and his team to anyone. read more

We had an LG mini-split system installed by Bill Leary about 7 years ago. It was a total disaster. We needed service every year when the air conditioning would not work. We discovered it was the installation that caused the problem. The Bill Leary technicians installed the system with open metal gutters. We had birds nesting in the gutters, and my son had a bird's nest in his mini-split in his bedroom! We called George as he is a Mitsubishi Diamond contractor. George and Evan are simply THE BEST at what they do. We have 7 mini-splits in our rooms and two external units. George and Evan installed them last summer. The air conditioning and heating are fantastic! We also had our least expensive winter heating bills by using these as heat pumps. The Stay Cool team are true professionals - they are clean, they come when they say they will come, and install the product as if it was their own house. We would be happy to serve as a reference and show our system to anyone who is interested. Their work is so well done and the Mitsubishi system works perfectly. We also got a heat pump system to provide heat and air conditioning to our garage, which we use as an office/art studio. The Stay Cool group is fantastic. When I asked for references, George actually drove me around to meet with people who he had worked with. He was so proud of his work, and it shows. George designed and revised the PERFECT AC plan to suit my 80 yr. old home. His ideas were creative yet realistic; he even used a paper replica of the exact size and shape of an AC "head" to show EXACTLY how the units would fit in the chosen locations. He further took the initiative to explore the codes/requirements in my town which enabled him to explain my project specifically rather than in generalities. The professionalism and attention to detail of this team are extraordinary. Right up to installation day, they reviewed, discussed and revised the details of the plan. During the work process, George and Evan respected my home as their own and left it as they found it...no mess at all. Their teamwork is impressive. Excellent experience. I would recommend Stay Cool (George and Evan) to my relatives and closet friends. Very comfortable in working with George and Evan, they are both honest and reliable. They always arrived on time and were very neat. Installed 2 HVAC systems (2 A/Cs and 2 furnaces). I narrowed my choice to Stay Cool after researching numerous vendors, including reviewing all the A rated companies in Angie's List. Set up appointments with 4 different vendors. Stay Cool was selected. George stated he and Evan would perform the job like it was his own home and he was right! George and Evan worked exceptionally hard to meet and then surpass my expectations. They went out of their way to make a very difficult positioning of the furnace in the attic exceptionally easy to access; eliminating any need to navigate multiple beams and trusses in accessing the filter. They explained the work that needed to be done, as well as took the time to explain the new thermostats and other equipment. Stay Cool for the price, as compared with the other companies I interviewed, offered the highest quality equipment for the price. Their price point for the equipment and installation was excellent.
