Kevin was able to schedule an appointment the same day. He did a great job on my son's haircut.Great attitude, very down to earth.

I went there for the first time with my two kids (6 & 10 yrs old). They loved the place as it is cozy, warm and comfortable. As per the hair cut, it went amazing for my picky kids and they loved their new styles. The barber was kind, patient and humble. As per pricing, you got to call to get an estimate. Lastly, its location may be hidden to those who are unfamiliar with Hayward. I would make sure I know exactly where is the shop before I make an appointment; as far as I know, there are no walk-ins. read more

Kevin is the best barber I've had, he's a real one. Gave me probably the best haircut in my life, no lie. Very professional and no non-sense. My Asian hair is hard to fade in my opinion, but he made it look great. He's appointment only so just a heads up, but he was willing to see me on short notice. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Dude did a great job on our initial encounter. I called to schedule an appointment with him not knowing there's two other barbershops in the same little building (who does that?) When I found that out I tried to reschedule with him and his next availability was at 5:10 which was fine but then he said he's going to charge $50 instead of the $35 he originally charges. I told him for that price I could've just got my hair cut next door, I'm not trying to spend $50 for a regular haircut, I tried to reschedule for the following morning and punk told me to lose his number. I wouldn't go to him if I were you, he's NOT about customer service or trying to get this money. read more

Called this place to ask when they have an opening and the response was, "our prices start at 40." That's not what i asked but ok. I ask how much for a scissor cut. "Depends on how long your hair is". What? What kind of place doesn't have set prices. What is it, a price per inch? I ask "do I need to make a reservation". His response is "well I'm on the phone with you now". I don't know if this dude was drunk or what. Just terrible customer service. Skip this place. read more

This was my first real haircut and I couldn't have chose better, the barber was really nice and hella funny and gave me the best haircut of my life. If you want a real quality haircut at an affordable price I would 1000% recommend this place. read more

Just took my 15 yr old son to get a cut by Kev for the first time and he is awesome! Very friendly, asked my son exactly what he wanted and gave recommendations. By appointment only so there was no waiting at all, took his time with the cut and made sure my son was satisfied with the end result. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you for the great service. read more

I had a problem and they solved it here. I literally called 5 different Barber shops in Hayward and surrounding areas for a low-maintenance quick haircut and the Man Kev made it happen. I called and he was straight to the point no funny business like alot of these other places. Kev Cut My hair and was solid with the clippers for sure. Quick fast and I didn't even have to wear my hat for the rest of the day. I definitely am comming back as I was looking for a New Barber as well! I recommend this place 100% you wont be disappointed read more

It's been over 20 years since I allowed someone to cut my hair because I was doing it myself. But this year I wanted a change and I just wished that I could find someone I could trust to cut my hair. God works in mysterious ways! A few weeks ago I was in Walmart and received Kev's business card. So I took a chance and let him cut my hair today and he did a great job! I really enjoyed the overall experience along with his professionalism and joking demeanor. Kev, Thanks again! Will be back in a few weeks! Diane read more

Kevin has been cutting since 2000. He knows what he's doing. I called in and got an appointment, showed up, waited about 5-10mins for the previous appointment to finish, and got a fresh cut. He works with you to figure out what your ideal length is and will only show you the finished product when he's satisfied. 1st time going in and will definitely be back. Clean room, tv for entertainment with plenty of DVDs! read more

New to the Bay Area & this was the first place I checked out for a cut. It came out better than expected and Kevin is definitely the coolest person I've met here. It's also the only place I'll be going to from now on for my haircuts. If you haven't had the chance to check out "Stay Groomed" y'all need to let this man put you on. read more

Nice little spot that is covid safe. It's ran by a friendly barber. Came out with a clean fade. Definitely coming back

First time going to Stay Groomed Barber Shop today and it was a great experience. The cut was solid and Kevin gave great recommendations on how I should get my haircut for the look I wanted. He was an overall genuine and friendly guy, who put a lot of attention into my hair and was a fun person to chat with while getting my cut. I'll be back for sure and super convenient pretty close to my house as well! read more

Just relocated from the East Coast and I was worried I'd struggle to find a good barber. Lucky me, I found an amazing one. From the ease of booking an appointment to the obvious talent, and safety measures taken in month 97 of the never ending pandemic. Kev is as invested in making sure you look good as you are! Stay Groomed Barbershop is the only choice, if you want a pristine cut, worth every single dollar. And don't forget to tip if y'all gonna be booking my barber up :) read more

My Father Frank didn't know how to Yelp, but he said this guy did a great job and wanted me to put down 5 stars for Kev.

I was approached by Kev and he told me that he also cuts ladies hair. When it was time for a refresh I gave him a call and made an appointment . Upon arrival, we had a quick consultation and then I let him do his thing. He checked in with me on length etc and voila( I added a photo). Kev is very welcoming and engaging. And all around a good vibe. read more

If you are in town and looking for someone to give you an amazing haircut Kev is your man. I walked in, described what I wanted and Kev actually made it better. He is a professional, knows his craft and above all very entertaining. read more

I been going here a few times and its pretty good. I used to go to this other place but this place is more walk in friendly. Kev is the main guy and hes pretty fast with solid skills. ST is a perfectionist and takes forever to do your line. I don't think he is there anymore, his chair is now empty. No razor cuts here but they can do almost as good with their clippers. This is a barber shop, not a salon. They got ESPN on the TV and maxim magazine on the counters. Usually there is no wait so I love coming here and just being able to get a quick cut and get out. My cut ran about 20 bucks. read more

I have gotten my hair lined up and cut here a few times. The shop is fairly small, but has a good vibe to it. Each time I have been there only one barber, Kev was there. He is a pretty laid back guy, who takes his time with your hair cuts. He perfers you make a appointment, but in all honesty each time I have went there was no one in the shop. He does a pretty good job with your lines, but I was not too thrilled with my taper I got there. Seeing that his shop is close to my house I will give him a few more chances to get the taper right before I start making the trek to Oakland to my normal barber. read more

It right before closing and the owner was so accommodating and wanted the birthday boy to have a good night out. Definitely made it a birthday to remember and the cut was great! read more

Kevin is a consummate professional. The shop is clean, the man with the clippers knows his trade. I highly recommend this business.

This is my second time here and I brought him a vision the first time of how I wanted my hair and he did just that and more. Today when I came he did his own thing and once again I was satisfied. He is down to earth and a nice person, he actually know what he is doing and if you bring him and idea or a vision you will leave with that.. I would definitely recommend him and I found me a permanent barber. People don't hang, no smoking in the shop it's kid friend, and just a nice environment.. read more

This is my spot. I have dread so i just let dude line me up but everytime i come out dipped. If I rocked a taper I'd let Kev cut me he's a G. I've seen the lineups and cuts they do, they always look clean. They're worth the $ and its affordable. Like dude said they always have ESPN on and there's hardly ever a wait except on Sat and Mon its better to have an appointment read more

I've been to this barber twice now. Kev's cuts are clean, sharp and fast; and I gotta admit that I like receiving complements for my haircuts. Kev currently runs the shop on his own; he welcomes walk-ins, but I recommend calling in advance to set up an appoiment, especially on Sundays and Mondays. read more

I take my little guy here to get his hair cut by Kev. Kev does a great job, nice clean lines and I love how he interacts with my son. His prices are very affordable. He gets pretty busy though so make an appointment. I definitely recommend! read more

My son (Boom-Boom is what we call my son by nickname) has been in need of a good barber his entire life, finding Kev the barber was exactly what I wanted for my son who is now 10 years old. Kev cut his hair exactly the way we wanted. The line was/is on point and my son feels more confident knowing he will get cut regularly by him. The shop is clean and professional setting. Surround sound on big screen T.V. draws you right into whatever is on screen during brief wait. Kev is the best. My son is satisfied and so am I. read more

Kev is s very good barber, got my son cut today for his graduations. I highly recommend him if anyone need s hair cut.

I made an appointment and showed up for the cut. The shop was nice and not crowded. I generally knew what I wanted, but Kevin asked more questions and made a few recommendations to make sure that I'd be happy with the outcome. He did good work and I liked the results. I'll be going back to him. read more

Kevin is a cool guy. Great conversation his skills as a barber however lack extremely. Very old school cuts with poor lines/edges. Don't go here for more than a good convo. read more

I decided to try this place... Looks decent inside and I seen the prices 12-20 $. Long hair 20$ or more. I have short hair by the way and wanted a fade. The guy took forever to cut my hair. He did a good job on the faded part but messed up on the bangs; I asked to just trim the bangs NOT line it up! Wtf does he do?! Line it up. THE PRICE was 20$ SO I DO NOT recommend this place. First off they need to be more descriptive on their price board....and 20$ for a fade? No way! If so there better be some hair washing and good service. Never going back here. Shady business. read more

My son started getting his haircut by Kev when he was 3 years old...he's 11 now and Kev is still his barber. Kev always makes him look handsome when he cuts his hair, the shop is also very warm and inviting! I'm glad we found stay groomed, we love Kev and his haircuts!! read more
