I wish I would have read the reviews before suggesting my husband stay here. Some of them were from several years ago but the internet is still crappy. It works to surf the internet but that's about it. If you want to stream shows it's an extra $10-$20 per week per device on top of the price of the nightly stay. It would be fine if they had smart tv's that let you watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. but they don't. Issues occurred several times with the internet dropping, not running, etc. tried I talk to the front desk about it and was confronted with a very rude front desk personnel. I tend to forget that extended stay hotels lack to their counterparts when it comes to cleaning your room daily. Light cleaning usually consist of towel change, if requested, and take out the trash. Anything else you have to ask, and that is if they're even willing to accommodate you. Luckily, our cleaning lady would always go above and beyond. She would also give us a little extra cleaning when asked. Everything else about the hotel "seems" to be fine. Customer Service is Awesome depending on whose upfront. There is this one lady who gets easily agitated when constantly interrupted to do her job. Experienced this on a few occasions. Then there is the new front desk lady who goes above and beyond to extend help to everyone. I would tell her I wished she work every night. As it is quite inconvenient and extremely uncomfortable when you need something to have to ask someone who isn't pleasant at all. When housekeeping does clean, it's great. Our first impression of the room was better than the facility. I decided to settle with two stars for the facility because there is really no other type of entertainment in replace of the poor internet. read more

if I could extend all my love to every single person on the staff, I would. well, I did enjoy how clean my room was and how it wasn't trouble to get it cleaned whenever I needed, the staff made everything possible. I stayed here for nearly 6 weeks and they made me feel like home more than I ever have felt being away. that goes for the nice men and women that are cleaning, that are working the front desk, that are working on everything around the hotel. and my absolute favorite part about this day was the cat that linger around the hotel, that love to be pet and fed. read more

Let me tell you, I wish I got her name but the woman who checked me in WAS SO NICE. I walked out of the office in such a good mood. Definitely a great way to start the check in process. The outside was cute and clean. We got to our room and the hallways were clean and the room was great! Honestly super happy. Suite rooms with full kitchen, fridge, and microwave. They even have pots and pans and dishes and silverware for you. Room was clean. Wi-Fi was all messed up and doesn't work. One tv in the living room and one in the bedroom. The tv in the bedroom didn't work after a few minutes. Sheets were a little thin and I'm the type of person who likes a lot of pillows and there were only two. The light that was right above the bed didn't work at all the time when we were there but decided to turn on all the sudden itself during the middle of the night which was super creepy. There was also a locked room and loud machine the whole time at night that made it bothersome. The free continental breakfast was mostly pastries and bread. Overall, it could be a great stay if they fix the problems. read more

Several of us were there to attend a wedding and we all agreed that all our rooms were nice, well kept, clean and comfy! The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming! Parking lot and other areas are all well lit if arriving after dark, outside doors are locked and made me feel safe. The breakfast is a little just enough "fuel" at the start of the day - The kitchens in the rooms are there if you need more. The ONLY COMPLAINT I have is the wifi/wireless connection is terrible!!! I am a blogger, and the single bar that I had in my room was not enough to hop-skip the internet on my laptop during down-time. I tried moving around the room, and found more bars by the window, but it was not a comfy space - But I survived! read more

This place was home away from home. The staff was amazing and always very humble. Being in military away from home, every other hotel is just a hotel. Though at the Stay Over Suites, it's like your home away from home. They have fresh baked chocolate chip, oatmeal and white macadamia cookies every day in afternoon. Stayed there for 10 days, $87 a day (military rate). The rooms are set up like one bed room apartment with kitchenette/ living area, bathroom, and bed room (separate from living area). TV in both areas (living room and bed room) along with a desk in the bedroom. For the price I was impressed and pleased with the arrangement of the room. Customer service was good, the ladies at the counter were nice. The rooms were clean. read more

Outstanding customer service. The rooms are gorgeous with plenty of room. It makes staying for an extended time not feel like you are living in a hotel. If you value internet in the slightest do not stay here. Their internet is abysmal and they shouldnt be able to advertise having any. It is 2014 and not having internet, for me, really destroys quality of life. The gym is a joke as to be expected. Rooms are nice but there are plenty of hotels in the area at the same price or cheaper... Find one with internet. read more

I have no idea why anyone would give this place 2stars! Not only are the staff friendly and welcoming, the owners are also!! Thanks to good old Uncle Sam, our stay was so screwed up and they not only found us another room, but let us stay until 530 ...way past checkout time . It was very quiet, breakfast was good and the rooms were spotless! On top of all that it was very affordable , so I'm not sure what more one could want! Absolutely will stay here again! read more

Lisa is a gem. I think if Stay-Over Suites took away their "breakfast" and "fitness center," the expectations will be less, thus contributing to less disappointment. The fitness center is just an old, smaller hotel room that they threw equipment in (no, but seriously, I think they threw it in there). The bonus to your workout in that room is that you will fluctuate between extreme temperatures based on the old air conditioner/heat in the window, and your heart rate will be escalated substantially due to the pure fear of the equipment collapsing during use, thus burning more calories. Your butt will get an additional workout, if you know what I mean (see: pucker factor). The breakfast is just a bunch of bread-type options that were warmed up the morning of, that otherwise stay in the fridge located in the same breakfast room. Bagels, bread, waffles, cinnamon muffin things, other muffin things. Oh, and single-package oatmeal that you can heat up yourself in the microwave. It's not going to fuel your day. But hey, the coffee is free and plenty! The rooms are okay. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything (let that sit in for a moment... "everything"). They're large, one-bedroom-apartment-style rooms. My room had stains all over the floors, super cheap towels (I don't think I've ever felt driven to complain about a towel before), and equally cheap bedding. The room has a kitchenette that stocked with flimsy dishware, and there's no dishwasher. My problem isn't with the lack of dishwasher (I can and will happily wash what I use), but the lack of sponge. You have to use a face towel/rag, and that doesn't get you too far, especially when you're using the same rag for several days in a row... (there's only two of each dish, so if you're staying long-term, you'll of course wash them several times). Oh, and no cleaning ... anythings. Don't make a mess. Housekeeping was a joke. They took out my trash and made my bed (I stayed for a couple weeks, and only had them service it once because I feel weird having someone clean my room daily). Cool. I came in with another person, and before we left for the morning one day (we left at 7:00am everyday), he left his trash outside his room and the "Privacy Please" in the door (he didn't need his room to be serviced, but just needed the trash to be taken out, figured he'd save them the trouble). I can understand a hotel having a policy of not leaving trash in the hallway: it can stink, it can leak, etc. Especially considering how limited this hotel is on housekeeping, it may be a while for someone to come 'round to get it. That's totally fine, and he understood when he was told to not leave trash in the hallway. What's not fine, though, is when the housekeeper told him where the dumpster is to take out his own trash next time he wanted to leave it out. Wait, what? Aren't you the housekeeper? Isn't he literally saving you extra work by *not* servicing the room, but leaving you the trash that you would otherwise take out of his room and to the dumpster yourself, had you serviced it entirely? The last two days we were here, there was a pump incident that left the town without water. That's fine. Shit happens. But they left notes under our doors saying if we decided to check out after 3pm, we would not receive a refund. Wait, what? If we wanted to move our hotel out of the county, to one with water, we have to pay for a night because we were at work when you gave the notice? And you guessed it: anyone checking in that wasn't aware of the incident, still had to pay for the evening if they wanted to change their reservations elsewhere (literally documented on the note). The internet is complete hot garbage under the equator sun. Get a hotspot. But hey guys, they have fresh cookies in the lobby in the late afternoon. read more

The rooms were sweet, they were perfect for our little family since we had to stay there for about 2 months. The housekeepers were nice too, but the management and the desk staff... so unprofessional. so rude. I tried to literally avoid passing the desk because of the dirty looks. There is only ONE desk staff person who was nice. The assistant manager was so rude and made it pretty uncomfortable to stay there. She was just rude for no reason, she needs to come off her high horse and realize that if she keeps treating people like that people are going to stop staying there. I really feel like she needs to take a class in hospitality. read more

Where to start? I think this hotel has forgotten to appreciate it's guests when the majority are military extended stay. I believe they take for granted that we are here for months at a time and the military is paying for our rooms. So they think customer service is not warranted considering out inability to leave? Overall the staff is very unprofessional and spend most time either in the breakfast nook watching TV channels of their choosing or outside the entrance door smoking. We have experienced instances to people smoking weed and natural gas leaks. We have had poor wifi connections and low water pressure daily for 2 months. But that's not the worst part... The housekeeping BLOWS!! First the employees are loud and rude. They go up and down the hall yelling and talking on their cell phones. I witnessed one employee yell from a 3rd floor window to the smoking employees outside at 8am who yelled back. There are not enough towels for the hotel so they collect the dirty ones, wash them, then later leave a pile for you just inside your door. While delivering said towels I have had them walk in on me without knocking. One time I was standing naked in my bathroom. They do not make your bed everyday. Yesterday I returned to my room to find all the contents of my bathroom garbage dumped IN my toilet, to include the plastic bag!! I had to fish out wet qtips and other garbage so I could use it. They do not own a vacuum and left spilled cereal on the carpet 5+ days before sweeping it. There is ZERO consistency to the process of cleaning our rooms and everyday something is missed or forgotten. The only plus is the cheap rate and location to Fort Lee. read more
