Got my lashes done on a Thursday at 5pm and was fairly happy with the job done. I asked for a natural look and that is what she gave me. However, I would have liked to have more of a conversation about the type of look I was going for and the type of lashes I was paying for(apparently there are different types). Bylle instructed me to keep my new lashes away from water and oil for 24hours. For that reason, I made sure I went to bed without washing my face. Unfortunately, when I woke up I noticed the left lash had thinned out, and by the second day every lash extension had fallen off except for 3...I am walking around looking ridiculous because my right lash is just as plush as it wants to be. Bylle did mention that my skin was oily and that the lashes may not last as long for me, but I had no idea they wouldn't even make it to 24hours... And honestly, I feel like that really shouldn't have anything to do with it because I don't have copious amounts of oil seeping out of my pores and dripping down onto my lashline line. I don't really have anything to compare my experience to because this was my first time trying lash extensions, so I am giving her 1 star for her professionalism. read more

Ladies...you all know the one thing most important is your lashes and eyebrows. The fuller/longer they are, the better. Usually when I go to a major event or anything special I would purchase some false lashes, which feels super uncomfortable because they feel so damn heavy on your lids. This is the first time that I had lash extensions in my life, and Bylie made it smooth and effortless. I wanted more volume, but my lashes were long from using Latisse, so she matched their length with Novalashes, which was a little more glamourous than I expected- but I love it. You barely know that she is working on you- I feel asleep at one point during application. I have very resistant hair- perming, bleaching, dyeing takes twice as long on my hair and I guess eyelash glues make no exception. I had some lash fallout the next morning and let Bylie know- she told me that if I had more loss the next 2 days, to come in and she would fill in the missing portions- she guarantees her lashes. She used a different adhesive, and all is well. I surfed the next 3 days with no loss. So if you know you have resistant hair or have loss the next morning, let her know, don't wait! read more

Listen, maybe she's awesome to others, maybe my experience is one in a million, but if asked my opinion about the lashes I received from Bylle, I'd suggest you go else where. The service was nice and she was pretty welcoming and professional but in the end I wanted great lashes and at $200 my lashes were quite mediocre. They are barely noticeable, even though I showed her two pics of the look I wanted and when she was done I had to point out that the left eye was fuller than the right. She did "fix" it with no hesitation but still, I'm very underwhelmed with these $200 lashes that look like they were done by a lash extension student. I mention the $200 often because I really don't understand where the additional $50 came from when my total price was given to me. We prepaid $95 and was ready to pay the additional $55 but then the total was $105. If more money was added for a particular reason that would be fine, but in all honesty my lashes are nothing to write home or even text about, and if I was charged more for something fuller then it should actually look that way. These lashes are thin, sparse, and are coming out as the days go by. All in all, save your money and go somewhere that is clear with their pricing and most importantly, will give you lashes that are worth your money. In response to Bylle's rebuttal: Rude to your receptionist? This is absolutely NOT true and laughable. I did try to reschedule, NOT cancel and you not being able to accommodate that had nothing to do with my experience and review, so I'm pretty confused as to why you chose to bring it up in your rebuttal. Perhaps to add credence to your outright lie about me being rude to your receptionist. I could have complained about your ridiculous cancelation fee when the appointment was made only a few hours before and I actually just wanted to reschedule, but that was the least of my concerns. My review was based on your poor work and unclear pricing. My need and reasoning to reschedule has nothing to do with the below average job you gave me. Did I entertain your suggestion about returning for a fill? Sure, that was me simply being polite. It also was a coping mechanism for not cursing you out on how unhappy I was with your performance, so consider yourself lucky. When you refused to reschedule I just went along with the bs. Never did I challenge you or make a big deal out of it and I have the texts to prove it. You are clearly one of those people who can't take constructive criticism and you conjure up bogus reasons and validations for the things you've done that rubbed a client the wrong way. I have a right to speak my truth; which is the your work you've provided ME was subpar. You on the other hand do not have the right to LIE about our interaction. Unfortunately, I have to update my review based on the eyelash loss that I have to recover from Bylle's application. I recently just visited Emiko's in Pasadena to have bottom lash extensions put on and was shocked to have been shown so much damage on my top lashes. See photos. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/eyelash-by-emiko-pasadena) Bylle applied one eyelash extension to two or three of my own lashes, which ultimately caused the lash to rip off. Eyelashes do not all grow the same, so if one lash happens to grow faster than the other, one can be terribly injured. My lashes were already somewhat recovering from some destruction due to mascara, so they couldn't take anymore as it was. I appreciated that Bylle thought it would be a good idea not to apply any extensions to my baby lashes, but overall I had no idea that a few of my lashes were bundled up and glued to one extension causing extreme lash loss. They did appear much fuller than what I was used to, but after a visit with Emiko I couldn't believe the difference in technique and quality of the lashes. I'm sure Bylle's work varies per client and like I mentioned on my previous review, it depends on how many lashes you have. If you have full natural lashes, I'm sure Bylle can do a fabulous job on you, but if you have sparingly short curled lashes that need time to grow, I wouldn't recommend going to her. It was an entire waste of time and money for me now that a few days have past and I was able to see the real outcome. I had to pay someone to remove some of the extensions she applied to my lashes. Wish it turned out to be a better outcome, but you never know until you get a second opinion. Reply to Owner's comment: Bylle-I don't care if you think I'm rather suspicious because there's no point in assuming I am trying to promote another business on your yelp. Does that make sense? No. I lost some on one eye so when I told her, she had me in and fixed it immediately. When I went from natural to very volume, she listened to my issues and changed it. I purchased a Livingsocial Voucher for lash extensions with the only expectation of trying something new. Bylle (Billie) was great! I thought I would do the parenthesis due to Bylle and I having a discussion about her name. I told her I didn't know how to pronounce it and she smiled and said I wasn't the first. As far as the experience I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised. Bylle was inviting, friendly and her studio was clean and professional. The hardest part of the whole experience was trying to relax the eyes while shut. You think it would be easy, but when someone is working on them its a bit hard, but again that was the hardest part of the whole experience. As far as having the extensions they are amazing. I am hooked. I will be going again. Bylle took her time and was gentle. Before purchasing my voucher I read other salons reviews of lash extensions and with all of the information I obtained what I surmised was people complaining about the person applying the lashes using too much glue. As I am a newbie I didn't have much to go on; what I can say is, while the application was happening, I had very minimal sensation from the glue so I think it would be safe to say this was a very positive part of the experience. I've been going to Byllie for years after trying several other lash artists with unhappy results. She always does an amazing job and gives me the exact length, density, and shape I look for. If taken care of properly, her lashes last for weeks. I always use eyeliner and take them off with a non-oily make up remover, and the lashes always stay beautifully. She's also really responsive if you have any questions. She'll give you educated information and use top quality products on you (super important with anything that's going on your eyelid!!) I first started going to Bylle after I bought an appointment at LifeBooker. Since then, I've had 3 refills and have been loving my lashes! They look SO natural that when I've declined 'normal' mascara application after getting my make-up done the past few months (as per the 'dont' of lash extension), the make-up artists didn't even know I was wearing them. And they were thisclose to my face! My morning routine has also been cut down. I noticed that I don't have to wear as much eye make-up on a day-to-day basis, which is an added bonus. Bylle is a lash artist. I literally went to sleep during the treatment with anemic little lashes and woke up looking like a doe-eyed baby seal. It was awesome. I started getting lashes about a year and a half ago and I have been hooked ever since. Even though eye lash extensions may sound high maintenance for me it is actually low maintenance. Thank you Bylle Breaux for making me feel gorgeous! I would never go to anyone else for eyelashes, I have found my girl! I have gone to MANY people over the past and have never been as pleased with them as I am when Bylle does them. They don't itch my eyes as they have in the past and she is a SUCH A PRO at placing them individually on each (unlike some of my previous experiences where 3 eyelashes would be combined with one extension and then when it falls out, there'd be a bald spot). Now, when my eyelash naturally falls out, there is no bald spot and I don't look bad in between maintenance appointments. You can tell Bylle is passionate about what she does and enjoys doing eyelashes, so you don't feel rushed while you are there~it's actually quite relaxing.
