Well, the price was right, but we got what we paid for. We split a suite with a total of five people. Although there are plenty of beds for five, there really isn't a ton of floor space, so we were constantly climbing over our and our roommates' belongings. We also encountered the following problems: 1. Cleaning service did not empty the trash. 2. Room was not clean when we arrived. We found clothing and trash belonging to previous guests in drawers and crevices. 3. Soap dispensers were not filled up when we arrived. 4. Soap dispensers were set up in a way that you could not check the ingredients for any kind of allergy information. 5. Keycard stopped working on day two. 6. Bags are stored in the lobby office, and no tag system was being used. Staff did not check that we took only our bags. Would have been very easy to steal our bags, which had thousands of dollars in collectibles inside at the time. Overall, we got what we paid for but I'll be looking for a different place to stay in the future. read more

It was a good price point, the room had a mini kitchen that was really cute. It's setup for extended stays (longer than 7 days). I'm not use to that setup so the lack of housekeeping was unusual for me for a few days stay. We ran out of towels and toilet paper and ringing the front desk to ask housekeeping for more they said we have to come to the front desk for towels. I've never had a hotel say that, strange but not a huge deal. The pool and hot tub area were clean and we had it to ourselves one afternoon, the pool towels are the smallest "towels" I've ever seen, can't even wrap one around myself. Again odd, but not the end of the world, just use 4 to dry off. The chemicals in the pool were a little overdone. If I had to guess they use bromine and a bit too much. After we got out I could feel it all over my skin. A shower is a must after a dunk in the pool. The breakfast was a good quantity spread, but not a good quality spread. Plan on getting breakfast elsewhere. My biggest gripe and it's a big one is the shower/tub. The sides have a huge curve on the edges that makes it extremely unstable to walk in and out. If you get too close to the sides (like 4 inches away) your feet will go right out from under you. And that's exactly what happened to me, my fiancé thank god was right there and she bear hugged and caught me right before I went head first over the edge onto the floor. Extremely dangerous tub design, I would rip them all out and put normal tubs or shower stalls in every room. I seriously would not stay here again just because of the showers. read more

I stayed at this Staybridge Hotel in Indianapolis over the weekend. The hotel is a nicely renovated hotel that has spacious rooms and OK Continental breakfast with your typical offerings of eggs, sausage, waffles, juice, and other varieties. With that being said if you issues that I had with the hotel was checking in there was a 15 to 20 minute wait with would like to be an inexperienced checkin staff,asking for a late check out, seemed to be problematic which was eventually granted only to find out that my key card was deactivated at 11 AM versus 2 PM promised. other areas of concern was that they charge $25 per night for parking but is rarely any parking and having to park down the block in a parking garage.the hotel was over crowded and there were long waits for the elevator,hotel was warm inside and temperature in room never got below 72° even though it was set at 65°, also I had to be careful walking as there was constantly water, pulling from the pool area that made for a slippery service. I did bring several of these issues up multiple times to the staff, including the general manager only to seem to be dismissed. Although this is a OK hotel and I would consider staying here again I would consider other choices before coming here read more

To be fair I didn't bring up any issues while staying. I know places are stretched thin for staff and everything else right now so I kept that in mind. I booked a two room suite. One room had one bed in it . The other room had two .There was a kitchenette and a living room with a pull out sofa . 3 TVs total .One in each bedroom and the living room . The kitchenette had dishes and there was a full size fridge . My issues were a rusty shower head in one of the bathrooms and loose tiles on the floor in the same bathroom.There also appeared to be a something spilled on the wall behind the nightstand that wasn't cleaned up. I used the non rusty shower head bathroom for showers.Bathrooms were stocked with body wash , conditioner, and shampoo dispensers.I used the gym one day. It had machines with tv attached , wipes for equipment , mirrors, and place to refill a water bottle .The indoor pool was closed for renovations. Sad face.Packed my swimsuit so didn't know this before arriving .The daily breakfast was self serve, but it had a few hot items like waffles , omelets , sausage. It is one of the better hotel breakfast that I've experienced and it was well stocked.Close to downtown Indy and all it has to offer and across from Lucas Oil Stadium . read more

We have stayed here two years in a row and never had an issue. We usually get a suite and they are very roomy and comfortable. They offer breakfast in the morning but sometimes it is frustrating when they only put bacon out 2 of the 5 days you are there (MORE BACON!). The breakfast is good though so I can't complain about that. Fix the doors in the back, you have to lift the handle all the way up on one and all the way down on the other but the card swipers make it difficult to do that as you have to hold it up or down just to get in. read more

In staying here for 2 weeks on business. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and really clean. There's FREE dinner on Tuesday, Wenesday and Thursdays!! The pool AND hotub was amazing and very clean. Also, the locations great and right across the street from Lucas Stadium The ONLY downside to this hotel, the parking lot could be bigger. I'll definitely continue to stay at this hotel any time I'm in the area!! The room rates were pretty good, especially for the size of the suites. Keep up the great work guys!! This hotel has been recently renovated and it is beautiful. The fireplace inside the lobby was so warm and inviting when we checked in. We had the pleasure of being checked in by Katie and Aaron both very professional yet friendly and knowledgeable about restaurants in the area. We were also told about the free shuttle service to anywhere in the downtown area. Our room was clean and the beds were so comfortable, we had everything we needed including everything we needed in the kitchen to make a meal. We didn't need to cook because breakfast was provided as well as a evening meal with drinks three nights a week. Our view of Lucas Oil Stadium and the city was spectacular. We were so happy that we could bring our dogs with us because finding a pet friendly hotel isn't easy these days and they only charge a $75 cleaning fee. The lobby was decorated for Christmas and it was so beautiful and it was nice since we had to be away from home for the holiday. Our family enjoyed our stay and we will be back if we ever have to be away from home in the future. read more

Stayed over the weekend for a short spring break trip with my son. The room was very clean and comfortable. However, that was about the extent of the positives. There are no ice machines and we were not there long enough for the freezer to make ice. The pool was ok, but the people in it were very inconsiderate. I saw multiple kids spit in the pool and their parents did nothing. Also the breakfast in the morning was not very good. read more

This was a great hotel and is convenient if you're looking on going to Lucas Oil (right next door)! They have a shuttle and offered to take us to where we needed to go. All staff was very friendly to us during our stay. I especially loved the sound proofing (if they have it) I always get hotels where other guests next to me are super loud and this hotel was no exception but when I closed the door I could not even hear the man who was yelling in the next room. Kudos to this hotel for making the stay an enjoyable one and they have pop with their breakfast bar which for those of us who don't drink coffee as our caffeine is a god send. read more

I selected this hotel because of the price and it EXCEEDED my expectations. I think it has been recently renovated and the colors and decor look like a more expensive chain. The room was clean and the sitting area large. The beds were a lot more comforable than I expected - more like a Marriott than other extended stay hotels! Continental breakfast was sufficient and there is a small market to buy snacks, etc. I'm impressed! read more

The staff seemed more than happy to let the gamers set up shop at all hours in the lobby. Room was very clean and comfortable-nice bed and linens, and plenty of room to relax or work. Having a kitchenette with frige, microwave, and dishwasher made the stay all the more pleasant. read more

First there is an issue with this place. The staff was blatantly mocking guests in the lobby where everyone can hear. Yeah...not cool. So if you can get over that... The rooms are great, super clean though the 8th floor still smells like smoke my guess is it was smoking floor for the superbowl. The burners were cleaned and then when I turned them on the cleaner burned off and realy stank. I'm not sure what anyone can do about that other than clean and then burn the stuff of the burners before a guest does it. At this point i've used em enough for it not to matter. the social food is awful but its free and there is drinks too. They even let us use the grills out back since we are staying here over the fourth. The internet works great in my room and I really realy like the curtains they keep the heat out but let the sun in. The climate control in the rooms is great too. All in all i'd stay here again except hte staff needs some lessons in professionalism. Don't make fun of guests. Oh and Parking isn't 12$ they give out parking passes now and you can scan in and out for free while you stay here. There was an Indians game and we are right next to hte field and we never had any problems with ppl clogging hte lot. read more

This hotel is great!! The room was the cleanest I've ever seen. If staying in Indy, I totally recommend this hotel. The staff is very nice. The elevators were fast and prompt; no long waiting. Every part of the hotel I saw was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and again, CLEAN. This would be a great place if you were staying more than one night and had kids with you. Stove, full size fridge, ice maker and dishwasher. We stayed on a weekend but it looks like they provide dinner during the week. That's awesome! So why didn't I give this hotel 5 stars? I took away a star based on parking. They have their own lot, plenty of parking and yet they charge $18 a night. I could understand that if they were working with a partnering garage but they have their own lot! To avoid people parking in their lot that are not staying at their hotel is simply giving you a tag to put in the window. I don't understand the high parking cost. They could set their selves apart from close by hotels by lowering this parking price. Other than that, it was great.! read more

3.5 stars or maybe 4. Pros: the suite looked cool and comfy like some place I'd pay to rent. Different Pillows incase you didn't like the ones on the bed. Home theater, pool, work out area, nice hang out space in the lobby and socials several times a week. Cons: no vending so you have to buy from the pantry, wireless was spotty and kept kicking me off after 10 minutes, insufficient parking I had to park along curbs my last night, there's nothing in the area (you're going to have to drive or hike to eat). There's a bar next door and a speedway but that's about it. I'd come back, these were just minor inconveniences, just something to think about if you choose to book here. I think they cater mostly to people on out of town work assignments who need long term housing. read more

My dad was generous enough to book the whole family suites for the evening of July 4th. We went to the game at Victory Field, so this hotel was just a short walk away. There is very little free parking behind the hotel, and it being a holiday weekend, was completely full. We had to park in the garage next to the Comfort Suites, costing an extra $14. PROS: Very clean Small kitchenette with full size fridge Large closet for extended stay Decent hot breakfast Directly across from Lucas Oil and short walk to Victory Field CONS: Full size bed, for the price of the room (almost $300!) you would expect at least a queen. Bathroom, very cramped, and what looked like a spot above the shower getting ready to fall from water damage. TV, every channel was fuzzy, no clear picture on any channel. COST, I understand it was a holiday weekend which no doubt jacked up the rates, but at almost $300 a pop, we could have stayed at the Hilton or Hyatt for that much. No free water. This sounds silly but I drink water all day long and not having any at night is a bummer. We planned ahead and packed a few bottles but once again, at that price point, you would expect a few freebies in the room. A decent place to stay, there are definitely worse in the city. read more

Full disclosure, we never made it to the hotel, so this review is related to customer service. I booked this hotel for a weekend stay because my son was playing in a tournament in Indianapolis. The plans for his team fell through, so we had to cancel the room. Due to the cancellation policy for the room I booked, the entire amount for both nights has already been charged to my card and there is no refund available. We have additional travel dates coming up in locations where there are other IHG properties, so I asked if it would be possible to use the money I have already paid towards one of those trips. They would not even consider it, which is a shame because I have heard good things about this brand and was planning to use them for all of our travel going forward. I do understand that that there is a policy that must be followed, but it is disappointing that an organization this size would keep a consumer's money and not make any effort to help them remedy a situation that could easily be addressed. read more

I stayed at this Staybridge over Drum Corps International Finals weekend for 4 nights and had a very nice experience. When we first arrived, we did have an issue in that the room we requested with a separate bedroom (versus a studio) was overbooked. I let them know that I was traveling with a small child, and we needed the separate bedroom when he went to sleep early in the evening. Nothing they could do about it then, but they were very polite and apologetic about it and were able to switch us into the requested room when someone checked out the next morning. They also took care of a couple nights of parking which was appreciated. The rest of our stay was without incident. The rooms were clean and well furnished though a little small in comparison to some similar hotels I have stayed in. Granted, those that I am comparing too weren't in the downtown areas of a major city, so perhaps I judge too harshly. The breakfast were nice, though seating space left something to be desired. You're better off just bringing your food back to the room. They do serve a meal Monday-Thursday night, but we were only there for one of those nights, and the offerings weren't 1 year old friendly so we went elsewhere. A perk for many, I'm sure! The fitness center was also very nice. I was pretty impressed by the offerings for a run of the mill chain hotel. The first day I was there, the weights machine was down, and I figured, in typical hotel fashion, that it had probably been like that for a while and would take forever before it was fixed. It was missing a cable. To my surprise, when I went down the next day, the cable had been repaired. Two thumbs up on that. The staff was nice and courteous, sporting t-shirts representing the drum corps that had set up base camp there. Very cool. Parking is pricey but on pair with the area, especially given that their system allows you in and out privileges - something not many hotels in the area around the same price can boast. read more

Had a really great stay here this past week. There are nicer hotels there but the staff was simply fantastic and so helpful. Loved the movie room and the fact that they let you watch DVDs for free in there. I made use of the gym, which had enough in there to get a good workout. I loved the social hour they offer on select weeknights. It's within walking distance of the Convention Center and it's right by Lucas Oil Stadium. As for the rooms, they were spacious and clean. The only thing that was just OK during my trip was the breakfast. I'd recommend this hotel and I compliment the staff for providing a great experience during my 3 day stay. read more

A friend and I stayed the weekend here because we were running the Monumental marathon. The hotel was located just a short walk from the start/finish line, which factored into our decision - along with the pool & hot tub and affordable price. Staybridge is an adequate hotel. It's clean, the staff is courteous and the rooms are nice and quiet. Even with a large group of teenagers staying there, we were never disturbed. The hot tub and pool were great after our race. The parking is $14/night - and the lot is small. Expect to park down the street in an overflow garage. The bustling downtown area is a good 10 min walk. There is nothing nearby except a dive bar and a gas station. Oh, and Lucas Oil Stadium! We didn't mind walking downtown to get dinner as go shopping. If you don't like to walk, you may need a taxi. The breakfast provided is horrible - don't waste your time. There's almost no room to sit, so if you do take your chances, just take a plate back to your room. Overall, the hotel is a decent choice. I would stay again if I needed a hotel for an overnight in Indy. read more

Stayed here with some friends for a conference being held at the JW Marriott. It was a short walk to the JW, super close to Lucas Oil stadium, and about 15min to the downtown shopping. You have to cross under a bridge when walking, which felt a little sketchy at times, but overall appeared to be safe. The hotel was ok. Our room was comfortable. It was nice having a separate bedroom and living area with a small kitchen with a full fridge, microwave, and a couple electric burners. This was the first hotel that I've experienced that not only had free breakfast everyday, but also free dinner on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Now, the food isn't spectacular, but there's also free drinks including soda, beer, and sometimes wine. The hotel was clean, but frequently had a chemically smell to it. It wasn't too strong, but certainly noticeable. The elevators were slow and had expired maintenance certificates displayed. This isn't really something I typically look at, but I overheard the repairs guys mentioning that the emergency phone service in the elevators were out of service since they changed services a few months back. Thankfully, the elevators appeared to be working fine, but I definitely took the stairs when I wasn't being lazy. The folks at the front desk were helpful and friendly. They had no problem checking us in a few hours earlier at no extra cost. read more

Stayed here during the Indy Mini Marathon 2 years in a row because they took such good care of us here. The breakfast was good, rooms were clean, and parking was cheap which is always a plus during big events. The hotel was the perfect distance from the starting line that we could walk the 3/4 mile to warm up and walk back to cool down after the race. They offered special check out times for race day and were very accommodating. read more

This hotel has Direct TV services. BUT... a LOT of channels are blocked out. The TV guide SAYS football is supposed to be on Sunday evening but the Channel is blacked out. So no Sunday night football. The daily parking rate is $18 a day. If you come to a NFL Game it's $40 for parking. The rooms were well kept. They do have Continental breakfast. There are 4 restaurants within walking distance. That's about it. read more

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with this hotel and nothing was done to correct it. Our kids (2 And 4) like staying at hotels, so this was part of their Christmas present after a day at the Indianapolis Childrens Museum and pizza out. We were so dissatisfied with the hotel, that we packed our bags and checked out around 9pm--just a few hours after we had arrived. They are doing renovations at the hotel, and there was a saw or some other power tool running below us--late into the evening. In addition, some other guests in a room just down the hall were yelling, cursing, singing etc. I don't think it was a party, because they also had little kids. But it was extremely loud and obnoxious. I had seen hotel workers in the area, so they knew it was going on yet did nothing to stop it. Our kids would not go to sleep, so we packed up our stuff around 9pm and drove the 1.5 hours home. On the way out, I told the front desk worker that I thought we should either get our money back or at least a stay credit since we didn't even end up staying at the hotel. He apparently did nothing, as I never heard anything further from him or anyone else. It was a very disappointing experience and utter waste of money. I received an e-mail within a day or so asking me to submit a review online, which I tried to do (basically this same review). After I did so, I received an e-mail from customer service which, again, offered me nothing for the poor experience. Instead, the customer service rep said I should have accepted a room change. I responded to him via e-mail and explained (just as I had explained to the front desk worker) that: (1) they should have never booked the room to us in the first place when the construction renovation noise was audible in the room; and (2) shuffling rooms around at night is not really a feasible solution when traveling with small children. He ignored me and never responded. Also, after I initially attempted to submit my online review via their website, I received an e-mail declining to accept the review. According to Staybridge customer service, the reason my review was rejected was because one of my statements was "not based on personal experience" as required by their review guidelines. The statement they highlighted as not complying with their guidelines was "[o]ur experience at the hotel ended up so bad that we left and drove home around 9pm." I fail to see how this sentence is not within my personal knowledge and based on my personal experience. I believe they are simply trying to avoid having bad reviews posted online. I resubmitted the review without that sentence but, as of the time of posting this Yelp review, it still has not been accepted. Ultimately, we are left in the situation that we paid full price for a room that we did not even use based on the poor environment, and Staybridge refused to refund us or credit us, rejected my bad review (with a completely irrational explanation of why it was rejected), and essentially tried to shift the blame to us for driving home instead of switching rooms. In my opinion, that is simply unacceptable. Staybridge seems to think it's fine. It would probably have been fine if I was traveling for business because perhaps a room change would have worked, but I would recommend steering clear of this hotel if you are traveling for leisure (particularly with kids). It's noisy, they apparently don't care that it's noisy, and their customer care is a joke. read more

Fitness facility that is open 24 hours (and nobody rarely used it while I was there that I did not have to wait around or anything) 4. Complimentary dinner 3 week nights a week 5. Gas station/Convenience store across the street Although I did not take advantage of the following... 5. Laundry machines are for free to use 6. Swimming pool This is not a 3-star hotel but it fit my purposes (traveling for a convention held at the Convention Center nearby), and saved me some money as I was able to eat their complimentary dinner for 2 nights. If I am in Indianapolis again for a similar occasion, I would come back here. read more

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Very nice suite with bedroom separate from pullout couch & kitchen. Rooms were clean & kitchen had basic needs in cabinets. Staff was friendly & helpful. Right across the street from Lucas Oil Stadium. 5 minute walk to convention center & downtown Indy which has lots of great restaurants & shopping. The only thing lacking was the breakfast & the TV service. The breakfast wasn't very good with limited hot food. I've had worse, but this was mediocre. I like to wind down with TV at night. Had nice flat screens, but most stations were nothing but static. Overall was very happy with our stay here. Would recommend & would stay here again. read more

The hotel is nice and clean - no issues there. Our company has stayed here the past few years during a busy convention. We booked 12 rooms in advance and typically have no issues. However, this past December (2016), a room was added on to our tab by a random individual. The hotel manager or front desk employee approved the additional room without seeking approval from our company. So basically they told us to pound sand on a room that someone added to our bill. Based on their response, we'll likely choose another hotel option in 2017. read more

This hotel could have easily received a 5-star review. The room reminded me of a Marriott Residence Inn. Nice kitchen with a full sized fridge and stove, and granite counter tops. The room was clean, quiet, and smelled good. The lady who helped me check in and out was friendly. The internet was free, and it worked. Finally, the price was reasonable (under $100/night). So why did they lose 2 stars? The little things. No restock on shampoo, conditioner, or coffee. They were willing to provide when I went downstairs to ask (though not without a snarky attitude). I was charged for parking when I didn't have a car. The location is a bit outside of downtown, but everything in Indy is a pretty close walk. I'd definitely stay there again if the service was a little bit better. But as it stands, there are plenty of options I'd choose over the Staybridge Suites. read more

Be very careful how you book at this hotel because the pre-purchase and regular rates are the same so you don't know which you're picking, which confused me and the general manager said that there's nothing he can do since I agreed to the terms.
